Onderon
Iziz

The walls, possibly the most well defended part of Iziz, and equally the weakest. When all the eggs of a world were placed in one basket, it became overtly obvious how easily the basket might be toppled. Therefore two strong Sith had been selected to seek and destroy as much of the enemy's weakest point as possible. Once the walls were down, the vicious beasts of Onderon would flood into the city looking for easy meals. Citizens, soldiers, royalty, who it was would not matter.

Monsters were not choosy, and neither were the Sith.

Oh Jaster chuckled as he jumped off the drop ship with his partner from this mission, a man who seemed to also be able to find the fun in being a sith. They were being dropped off just outside the city in a clearing about 40ft from the wall. They were surrounded by forest all around. Jaster took a deep breath and chuckled again.

"Oh this is gonna be a grand ol' time. Nothing like unleashing some untold havoc on some innocents to really get the blood a flowing! Hahaha!"

He took up his cane he and partner would start making their way toward the wall, each of them were carrying enough thermal explosives to blow a chunk out of the wall. The plan was to blow the wall allowing the wild beasts of Onderon to flood into the city. Speaking of which he could already feel multiple eyes on him and his partner. He gathered the force to himself and let his feeling flow out, hoping to avoid any nasty little surprises. This would also give him the benefit of sensing any defenders once they were closer to the wall.

the space was under surveillance despite being under massive evacuation. The authorities were trying to organize the exodus but were failing miserably. Numerous collisions and jams filled the streets as well as flight paths of the planet. But few would notice the simple light freighter entering the space under false identification. It had landed close to the wall that separated the wilds of the planet from the civilized though now there wasn't much of a difference if one were to ask the man if many names.

Technically the ship they had come in on was not under false documentation. But the Sith had procured it from someone else who had previously been legitimate, the Sith were not in such honest work. They had outfitted the ship with extensive amounts of explosives. It was enough to level a city block. It was his intention to systematically place more of charges along the wall though for a grander effect.

The high walls were only a few meters away and the ship was sitting idly in an open plaza just next to a few buildings opposite the wall with the ship in the center. Most people had fled the immediate area in search of transport or hunkered down in their homes to avoid getting hurt in any collateral damage. Even though most had left the feeling of fear emanated across the city, it was practically hysteria. So much chaos and the populace was only making it worse. They were their own worst enemy at this point, the thought made the man smile as he walked towards the grand barrier that for the moment stood between the ferocious beasts and the metropolis.

The wall had numerous access hatches and points of entry for maintenance and upkeep. Here and there were markings and matte paint overlaying past vandalism from the city's youth most likely. Otherwise the construct was fairly plan and boring. Nothing stood atop the wall, nor was there any balcony or external opening at any height along the wall. Only ground access and if one wanted to get to the top they had to climb the stairs or use the internal industrial lift. Only government paid works ever really ventured inside and that was only routine checks on deficiencies or after major weather occurrences. It was locked from the outside but the man made short work of the obstacle with a fast swipe of his crimson lightsaber which deactivated as soon as it had ignited in one quick motion.

This was the first time in awhile he had been present in a major conflict for the brotherhood. Usually he just sowed the seeds of destruction and chaos behind enemy lines or struck fear into the hearts of those thar would otherwise rise up against the dark sider force.

If anyone still resided within the vicinity surly they would think twice before making their presence known to the skull faced man. His appearance was what could only be described as morbid while simultaneously mocking. He wore an Arbitrator Personal Armor Kit though he had exchanged the helmet for a customized mask in the shape of a grinning human upper skull. He carried a back with several built in speakers meant to produce any music he decided to play which he flipped through on a data pad presently. The human hadn't decided on what to play until he finally tapped a selection. In addition to the extensive weapon choices he had in his backpack he had numerous explosives of various kinds as well as more directly on his person. "Let's get these party favors started." he said with a smile under his macabre mask.

Mark Darsten is standing up at the top of the wall surrounding Onderon. There he and many other soldiers would watch the forests surrounding Onderon for any sign of the Sith. AA guns, turrets and a lot more defences are spread out around the wall right where they can be used to fight off the Sith.
Mark is sure the Sith would've seen his dad's speech and know the spirit of the Onderonion soldiers. However, after his encounters a few days ago the civilians do not seem as keen. Half of them don't even understand the proper situation. But fortunately they are now out of the way and anyone unauthorised or apart of the forces of the resistance will be considered hostile. It is clear that no one is allowed to visit this part of Onderon just yet as it is under war conditions.

Mark is holding his rifle which now has a scope attached onto it. This will provide help in seeing the enemies closer and will provide accurate aim if needed. However, the Sith could easily use the forest to hide and could do all sorts from there. But it has been established that no patrols are to be sent there due to the danger of the animals. The animals will provide help fighting the Sith - not that they particularly would like to. At the noise of an animal Mark knows that is when to act on looking more closely around the forest.
"Darsten, have you picked up on anything yet?" comes in a voice from the radio, giving Mark a shock.
Mark then grabs his radio and pulls it closer to his mouth. He then replies whilst scanning the area, "Negative, sir. No sign of the Sith yet."

"Oh yes the party get's the party started hehehhahaha!"

He would follow Shaw keeping his feelings outward acting as essentially a lookout. The pair would enter the wall proper.

"Hmm I'm picking up some people...probably waaaaay up top hehehe. Hmmm don't know if they spotted us on the way in but we should be able to blow this joint before they can get down here hehe."

He pulled the pack of explosives off his back and began to plant them as he made his way left from inside the door. Placing a bomb every 20 feet on the interior support beams to the wall for maximum effect on the wall. It would take him several minutes and Jaster would keep his feeling open incase of interference.

the partner of his seemed to be taking a fair amount of delight in the events unfolding to which the grim faced man himself only smiled. the joker went about setting the charges at the base of the wall. on the interior there would be virtually no way for anyone to detect them save for visual identification. the man headed in the opposite direction of his partner and made sure that the destructive devices were placed in various places out of sight and away from where anyone who even was looking for them would notice. it wasn't necessary since nobody would likely even happen upon them there but it was a cautionary action just in case.

the man knew the rockrete and other building materials caused extensive stress on the wall's own structure but it was made to support itself and distribute the weight efficiently. the two sith though would not just destroy a great portion of the walls with an overkill amount of explosives but also the wall's own structure would make it tear itself down. like the other sith who kept his awareness peaked the man kept his metaphorical ear to the ground incase anyone was to come snooping around as they prepared to do the deed set out for the brotherhood.

A beeping on Mark's radar alerts him. The radar can pick up anything from a ship to certain types of weaponry. And it seems to have found something at the bottom of the wall.
"My radar's picking up on something at the... inside of the wall", reports Mark into his radio which he has just brought to his mouth. "It appears to be some sort of weaponry. Maybe a bomb. Permission to check what it is?"
There is a pause before the commander's voice comes in. This means that he is deciding on what is to be done. "Permission granted", he replies with a really serious tone in his voice. "Use the opening down through the wall and call out first. Do not engage unless necessary."

Mark turns to Eris and Jenton who are accompanying him with this mission. "We believe there may be a Sith or more down there", explains Mark. "We'll use an opening vent to get inside the passageways. Let's go."
Mark then proceeds to walking down the wall until he reaches a vent. Another soldier looks at him but Mark raises his hand in a gesture as though he is dismissing him or saying "I've got this". It seems to work as the soldier nods and returns to his station.
Mark then kneels down and pulls off the vent. It is quite tight but just enough for a human to fit through. Mark then throws his gun down through the vent first. Considering it isn't too deep a drop, the gun can be heard as it hits against the floor. Mark then, feet first, squeezes through and drops through it. He then proceeds to, expecting Jenton and Eris to follow behind him, walking down the vent.

After about a minute or two later - once he has ventured out quite far through the passageways and gotten closer to the radar's detected point, he stops. They aren't far at all away from what is detected and faintly - due to how far away they are - can be heard talking. They sound quite distantly away.
"Who's there?" calls out Mark in response to hearing the voices. He has his gun out at all times and is trembling slightly. They could come from anywhere and Mark has never faced anything like the Sith.

Jenton ran into the ship, to the hull. He opened a crate he had kept in the cargo hold for...how long? It held a small-hilted lightsaber. He pulled it out, scanned it for any damage, and ran back outside. Eris stood waiting for him. Her eyes were wide with fear and anticipation of what was to come. Jenton stopped in front of her and held the hilt out to her.

"I've been keeping this for a while, waiting for the right time," He said, "I suppose now's as good a time as any."

Eris took the hilt, and somehow, her eyes widened even more. She scanned it, like she was looking for signs that this might be a prank. After a second, she looked at him.

"Now, just like with a gun, you need to be very careful with this, it's not a toy." Jenton warned.

Eris nodded as Mark said something about the Sith's arrival. They were just outside the wall, as far as Eris could tell. Jenton grabbed her shoulders and crouched so they were eye-to-eye.

"No matter what, Eris, you stick to me like glue. Understand?" Jenton said.

Eris nodded, uttering a shaky, "Yeah," before Jenton let go of her. Jenton's face seemed to fall for a moment, and he sighed. Not a sound of annoyance, but of sadness, tiredness. Then he drew his lightsaber and pressed the button. Eris mimicked his movement, facing the wall.

She could sense they were progressing very quickly. In no time, the Sith would have the wall down. Eric's heart pounded, and her sweaty hands shifted for a better grip of her sword.

This is it, She thought, simultaneously terrified and ready.

Jaster continued to plant his bombs on the inside of the wall...he could feel more activity up above and chuckled to himself. He looked to his partner.

"You feel that ol'chap! I think they may no our little game hehehe. Oh well, let's get this all tidied up and scurry on outta here."

He picked up his pace though it would still take several minutes, though the Jester had no intentions on stopping. He would keep planting party favors, so far he had 8 ready to go, about 40% of the explosives he needed to place to bring the wall down. He planned to take the support beams then double back and place his other half of explosives on the outter facing of the internal wall. He laughed as he worked ready to get their party started.

"indeed. I hate my hobby being interrupted." not only could he hear the sound of movement down the access way but a young voice had asked who they were. it was a few dozen meters before there was a slight corner and then the direct line of sight was cut off by the hallway's change in direction. "their coming from that direction. jedi too i think." the man said with a slight cocked eyebrow under his mask. his right eye widened slightly to appear as a comical skull face as well as a thermal detonator in his left while his right held a Gratia blaster pistol, leveling it down the hall.

with a slight toss the explosive flew and then rolled until it stopped short of the corner. if anyone came around the corner they would likely be met with the explosive and a contained face full of pure destruction. the damage it would cause wouldn't be enough to set off the other explosives they had already set since it was far enough away even though it was in a confined area. the man knew it wasn't a sure fire kill if the explosive went off but he hoped it would at least make them think twice before attempting to advance and maybe injure them. he doubted the jedi would be able to detect any danger since it was out of sight as well as an inanimate object. if they turned the corner to see it before it went off then they would get a fair share of blaster emission. right after he had tossed the explosive he drew his lightsaber incase he needed to defend himself from any blind suppression fire they might emit. but the sheer surprise of the explosive as the initiating action would surprise them, especially since they had tried to make verbal contact to which the ghoulish warrior only replied with silence. he expected Jaster to continue planting explosives so they could hurry up and if his plan worked according to how he planned it to then he would be able to resume as well instead of fending off enemies.

Mark hears more speaking. It doesn't seem to be directed to Mark, Jenton or Eris - most certainly to each other.
"I'm not going to ask again", says Mark again, even louder and more serious-sounding. "Come out or talk to us at the least." Trying to sound convincing, Mark says, "Listen: This doesn't have to be a violent. Maybe we could work something out-"
Something - not too visible - seems to have hit the floor judging on the sound made right near Mark. He then approaches the corner right next to where the sound was. Within almost an instant Mark turns around and runs, pushes Jenton who then falls over, knocking Eris over and manages to dive out of the way. An explosion is set off right near Mark. Although Mark dived out of the way, some damage still goes to Mark - especially in his left leg.
Mark sits up and rolls up his trouser to check the pain. He can feel some sort of liquid on his nose - no doubt blood. He winces at the sight of his leg as he sees the damage. There is a large cut on his leg in which blood is pouring out of quite a bit.
He rushes towards his pocket which fortunately has a bit of a bandage. He, whilst rushing, grabs it and starts wrapping it around the cut. Once it is fully wrapped around, Mark stiffly gets up.
After having gotten up, Mark looks around the floor and finds his rifle. It is fairly scratched and with small dents in some parts but it will do. Mark then picks it up and turns around to face the damage. Not too much has been caused as the explosion mustn't have been too large but some piles of rubble remains scattered around the passageway with some of the wall destroyed.
Mark then climbs over it. As he does so, he has a slight limp and he is in quite a bit of pain but he does his best to ignore it. He peers around the corner quickly before drawing his head back behind cover. 'Two Sith - one planting a bomb', Mark makes mental notes of what he has seen.
He then blows through his cheeks, partially praying. Then he turns round the corner and whilst aiming down the sights fires a shot at the one planting the bomb.

Mark had been trying to reason with the attackers. Eris watched, holding her breath, as he stepped towards a corner. She ignored Jenton's "What the--", though she was wondering the same thing herself. She didn't even have time to register what was going on before Mark plowed into Jenton, who fell into Eris, knocking her down.

Eris--tiny, eighty-five pound Eris--hit the ground hard under the combined weight of Jenton and Mark. Her head bounced off the ground, which, thankfully, wasn't too hard. She heard a few cracks resonate from her sides in rapid succession, followed by a sharp pain. Air didn't come until the two men had stood up, and when it did, each breath was painful. Ignoring this, she jumped up and retrieved her lightsaber before running to Jenton's side. His eyes darted around, scanning for any possible threats, and hers were doing the same. For just a moment, they waited.

Then Mark opened fire.

Ah yes now Jaster felt them more clearly. He had to suppress a massive laugh as his partner let fly with a grenade, though he let loose once it went off. He kept chuckling as he kept planting speeding up now that some friends had arrived. The Jester even planting half and moving to the outer wall and beginning to plant bombs. The force suddenly screamed at him though that massive danger was coming, he was unfortunately in the middle of a plant. He'd have to rely on his partner to protect him this time, but from what he saw a moment before Shaw was prepared to defend any incoming attacks, even against Jaster.

a grin formed on the man's lips, under his helmet he smiled like a mischievous feline as the destruction occurred down the accessway. he heard the surprise a moment before it went off, sending heat, dust and chunks of rubble up and down the hall. the air was filled with granulated stone so fine that it moved with it but was for the most part stagnant, slowly settling as the lack of a breeze for the most part made it hang in their air. the air was filled with something else, pain and fear, something the man relished.

movement, shifting and scrapping, no doubt the surviving individuals trying to collect themselves. it had been loud and they had been fairly close if they had been right around the corner. but it hadn't been a flashbang and perhaps they had helmets that dampened such effects. the rubble at the corner lay in piles, the walls and ceiling remained intact but with cracks and abrasions. he saw a slight bit of motion through the dust but held his fire. it did tell him the height at which the potential next target was and he adjusted his blaster slightly while his lightsaber activated in his left hand. he couldn't use it at this range but perhaps it's crimson light would force his opponent to think twice about confronting him. alas the individual did not heed the passive warning and turned, firing down the passageway. it had to pass the psychotic sith to reach Jaster. he didn't want the man to stop what he had been doing and so swatted the blaster shot away, making it deflect into the side of the stone walls back in front of the man harmlessly.

Mark leans back slightly as his shots come - no doubt deflected - hitting the walls near him. He then turns around to see Jenton and Eris.
"I need help here", hisses Mark, trying to whisper yet with an aspect of urgency audible in his voice. He means not to sound angry in anyway but he can not, as Jenton and Eris most likely know, take on the Sith by himself.
Mark then returns to firing at the Sith. He cannot afford to let them gain concentration to use the Force... if that's, of course, how the Force works. He knows pretty much nothing about it apart from its powers.
Risking getting hit, Mark peers round slightly. He then aims down his scope and starts firing a few rounds at the actual bombs itself.

Eris ran down the flank, approaching the Sith from the side. Jenton's first thought was to scream at her to get back, but that would give her away. So he held back, watching anxiously. He grabbed a blaster rifle, hoping it was fairly simple, and started shooting at the Sith with Mark. Eris winced at the pain in her side, which slowed her down quite a bit. She couldn't stop now, she was so close. She summoned up all her strength and willpower and swung her lightsaber at the one who was planting the explosives.

Jaster chuckled as Shaw deflected the shot directed toward himself. With his pace picked up he was now about 60% done. He winced as a shot barely missed his head and he looked over. The defenders were actually shooting at the explosives. Luckily the explosives needed to be detonated with a signal from either Shaw's or Jaster's detonators. so even if hit they wouldn't explode. Though they would be disabled and that Jaster couldn't allow. Since the 2 shooters didn't seem to be expressly aiming at him and anybody trying to get near him would need to go through Shaw to do so in the narrow corridor of the wall; Jaster would draw his saber from his cane and deflect any of the aimed shots that Shaw himself couldn't handle with the violet blade. He also figured a bit of fun could be had here.

"You dolts! You trying to kill everybody in here, why're you shooting at the blasted explosives!"

He had no idea if his gambit would work, for all he knew they recognized the type of explosives they were using so it could be safe to shoot at them.

the portion of the hallway that the armored man stood in was two dozen meters from the corner where the fire was coming from. more of the shots seemed to be away from his own area and no longer coming right at him. trying to hit either Jaster or the explosives. but this was highly inefficient since they were risking their well being to dismantle explosives they weren't even sure wouldn't go off if they shot at it. what did they think was going to happen, that it would just explode and do harm to the Sith and nothing else? more likely it would cause a chain reaction and complete the dark sider's mission for them.

this didn't surprise him, the small width of the hallway, only being three meters or so wide made it easy for the man to block the majority of blaster bolts from passing his position and traveling further down the hall to any devices or his partner. a few got through but they flew harmlessly into the stone like construction or metal struts. his own devices that he had placed less of than the jester had been placed with greater care so they would have to peer farther out and make a larger target of themselves if they wished to take them out. not all of them were visible, some behind pipes and other architectural obstructions. but it was because of this as well as his halting to take on the interlopers that he had not set up as many as his compatriot. as he had expected Jaster was defending what got past him to some extent as he heard the sounds made from deflection, lowering the chance of the shots making contact with any explosive. they were shooting rather cautiously and conservatively since Shaw still squeezed off a shot, if they didn't duck back behind the corner then they would get hit, making the aiming process a lot more rushed and frantic for them.

what did surprise the human was that a younger female, a teenager if she were human, came running around the corner. had she some plan or crazy rush tactic. unlikely since that was usually his kind of thing. the two others that remained around the corner would risk hitting her in the back if they continued firing because of the narrow corridor she ran down. the youth had been injured because she was not as fast as others though perhaps because she was still young and hadn't the height to make as large strides made running the two dozen meters a lot farther for her than she had expected. her eyes were set beyond the skull faced man, meaning to him that she was aiming to reach Jaster but seemed to have forgotten about the joker's partner who still stood between all three and the other sith as well as the devices.

underneath his mask he smiled widely without any warmth. he inhaled with excitement at the target, young, innocent, and ignorant of the real danger. she made it halfway the distance between the corner from whence she came to the human man who had by that time leveled his gratia blaster at her face since it was already aiming in that direction. he simply had to change the angle only slightly before he found pure blue eyes and their white surroundings. it was easy to pull the trigger, so simple to move one's pointer finger a few millimeters in a tightening direction to let out a bolt, or rather two considering the construction of the weapon, down the length of the hall towards the girl. even if she didn't die from him she had stepped up to the metaphorical jaws of a beast.

Mark notices Eris has gone and by the look of his face Jenton has too. Mark makes a gesture to Jenton as though he is telling him to stay there, continuing to fight. Hopefully Jenton will obey as Mark wanders over to the hall where a flank could be possible. This has to be the only way Eris could've gone.
Resisting every urge to call out for Eris to make sure she is OK, Mark keeps his mouth shut. His gun is out infront of him the whole time just in case danger arrives right infront of him.
After a while of walking down the corridor, Mark finally turns round a corner where he spots Eris. However she has moved into life-threatening danger. A Sith has a gun pointed right at her face and could pull his trigger at any time, killing her in an instant. "Sh*t", mutters Mark at th sight.
Mark aims his rifle directly at the Sith's head. His finger slowly moves closer towards the trigger. "Drop the weapon", commands Mark who is feeling both nervous and angry. "Now."

Eris saw the blaster aimed at her face and stopped, eyes wide. She tightened her grip on her lightsaber, ready to move to deflect the blast if it came flying at her. Her heart pounded. Here she was, standing in front of a Sith. She hadn't imagined this day coming so soon. If she wasn't terrified, she might've laughed.

Jenton watched in horror, his heart skipping beats. He tried to climb over to grab Eris, but a soldier was holding him back. "Eris," He said, "Eris, get back." His fear showed in his eyes and all over his face. He heard Mark tell the Sith to drop his weapon. Eris looked up at him, but didn't respond. Jenton aimed the rifle at the Sith. "If you move your finger any closer to that trigger, I swear to god, I'll put a bullet in your brain." He threatened, his voice shaking.
