Much had been destroyed when the generators were blown up and the recognizeable office blocks had slanted due to the underground explosions. Thankfully, Imperial Czerka's board were rarely seen at this location and the terror attack, while seemingly horrible for the Czerka Megacorporation stock, was mostly a disaster for the families of the clerks and other lower corporate associates and executives.

When Mik attended his first meeting he did so from a heavily encrypted special communicator from his Systech office on Etti IV. Time had been on the essence and a corporate security man had hand-delivered the communicator to him. What surprised him the most was that of the twenty-something executives in the meeting only three were at the physical location of the new emergency headquarters.

The reports were send in quick succession. Three-hundred pages. Summary was still forty pages long. Then someone had the audacity to file a thousand-page financial report on-

Mik blinked a few times as he read the dazzling numbers. Imperial Czerka had actually done it. The entire western dominion of the Empire was more or less being stripped of its resources to fuel the development of Raxus Prime and the Imperial War Machine. Just as the late Davik Emer-Drast had arranged when he first became Emperor.

"Executive Deluto," as sharp female voice cut through his astonishment, "I see you have not yet filed the appropriate financial reports on your sector." a chastisement, on his first day on the job.

"My apologies, eh-" he tried to find the holographic figure that belonged to the sharp voice among the other executives and then spotted the Imperial Czerka uniform pin of a boardmember. Newly assigned, perhaps? "-this is my first day. First hour, actually-" Mik tried to smile his way to an excuse and yet the boardmember seemed unamused. "Let the record reflect Executive Deluto failed to file his report in time. A first warning," no one at the meeting spoke up on his behalf, "there will not be a second."

Kriff, being an Imperial Czerka Sector Executive was cutthroat. Mik nodded and made a mental note that he'd reserve some of systech-adrenals for that night in an effort to stay awake and bulldoze through the existing reports on his sector.

Title: Imperial Czerka Sector Report #3490
Summary: Factories and Resource mining have met their Key Performance Indicator Goals.

Mik rubbed his chin and realized by the length of his stubble that he had been working for roughly 36 hours straight. The trashcan below his corporate workstation was filled with empty fastfood packages and depleted systech adrenal-stimulants and his Systech office was beginning to show more and more signs of continued Imperial presence. Outside his door two Czerka-uniforms held watch, their blaster pistol were Imperial issued and they had the looks of veteran members of the Imperial Security Bureau. That sure was a cross one should be extremely wary about. Czerka Megacorporation and the Imperial Security Bureau.. Mik felt a shiver going down his spine as he considered their frightening power.

A sudden beep startled him, -BEEP- and he sat up straight, blinking rapidly as the exhaustion was beginning to takeover. It was his Imperial Czerka workstation's encrypted holo-communicator. Kriff, had he missed another deadline?

Having no choice but to accept the call, Mik was surprised to see the same boardmember that had reprimanded him 36 hours ago. "Good report, Executive Deluto," her tone was considerably less stern as it had been during the meeting, but what surprised him the most was that he had only submitted that report a few minutes ago and it was several tens of pagers long. He had been a boardmember of a much smaller corporation for a decade and had initially figured that this wouldn't be all too different.

He had been mistaken. "Thank you. I will admit that I was hesitant about including the references to a suspected misuse of adrenals in factory 34 dash 12, on planet three."

The stern look was back instantly, "Schedule a meeting with the planet executive, Kenan Solar. He had one chance to stamp out the criminal element and make up for the efficiency loss before your next report." Mik was even more impressed with the boardmember now that he realized she had called him on the holo at -he checked his clock- three in the morning, because she was micromanaging the sectors that befell her responsibility.
