Vahliri had mixed feelings about being sent from Dromund Kaas to Dagobah. Of all the places in the galaxy to establish a Sith Academy, jungle planet was easily the most remote - and the half-Sephi wasn’t exactly looking forward to slogging through the muck. Nevertheless, it was still a place with a powerful connection to the Force - not entirely unlike Zakuul - and that fact alone appealed to the academic side of the half-Sephi.

Not to mention, the climate here was significantly more tolerable than Hoth - the location of her last official mission for the Order. Quite literally nothing could be worse than that cold.

Vahliri stepped down the ramp of her single-person transport, her boots making contact with the damp earth and immediately sinking down an inch into the muck. The half-Sephi had come prepared for the mission - dressed in her standard-issue Acolyte armor, alongside the hilt of her lightsaber.

She glanced back over her shoulder, watching as the transport shuttle lifted off behind her - rising back above the treeline and vanishing from view. While she knew that another Acolyte had been assigned to help her with the task, Vahliri wasn’t entirely sure who would be accompanying her - though she assumed another shuttle would be bringing them shortly to the little in the swamp.

The half-Sephi glanced down at the datapad in her hands, squinting a bit. Their objective was to locate and escort a group of construction workers who had crashed deeper in the swamp, and the late known coordinates of their ship had been inputted into her datapad to track them. Even if they knew where they’d be going, it would still require quite a bit of hiking through the swamp - and dealing with whatever dangers came in between.

For the moment, Vahliri tucked her datapad back into her pocket and leaned her weight against one of the moss-covered trees adjacent to where she was standing - waiting for her partner in this mission to arrive.

She had to re-read her orders several times before she finally believed where she was going. There had been stories written about Dagobah and its connection to the Dark Side, much of which fascinated the young acolyte and hoped it was as impressive as she imagined it to be. However, her journey to the swamp world was not in further study of the dark abilities, it would be more hands on as the construction there seemed to stall, and some Sith were dispatched to ensure things got back on track. There was another who was going to join her in the task of finding some displaced workers and Jordi internally grimaced at the idea of working with another.

The swamp was not kind to anything that disrupted its delicate ecosystem, the transport avoided touching down fully and the acolyte was instructed to get off. The girl hopped off the ramp and into the mud, sinking some, but not bothered as she maneuvered to a more solid path. Jordi was dressed in her acolyte field garb, something simple, flexible, and nothing that would become a hinderance in the swampy environment. Adjusting her pack, she grabbed her holopad to check for additional information before dropping it back inside walking along the reinforced path. Just ahead stood a figure against a tree, it was hard to make out who it was, but she probably could guess it was her partner.

She starred at the girl, feeling suddenly uneasy and turned around, "If you're here looking for the workers, lets go." she said waving her hand, gesturing to follow-despite not exactly knowing where to even start looking for this transport.

Why did I choose this assignment...

To say that Dragus did not like Dagobah, would be an understatement. Eager to prove that he was worthy of being a Sith Champion, he had volunteered for the first assignment that came along and regretted it almost immediately. His annoyance began as he exited the drop off the shuttle and landed square in the muck, of which there was plenty on this particular planet. Grumbling, he cleaned his armoured Sith officer uniform to the best of his abilities, before moving forward through the muck, happy to find some sort of solid footing not too far away.

He looked around the dreary environment for the acolytes with which he was supposed to be working with and found them quite easily due to their voices cutting clearly through the buzzing of insects and other critters. He approached slowly and waved a hand. "I assume you are the acolytes that were assigned to look for the workers? Dragus Jakar, Sith Champion. At your service." He said with somewhat of a polite smile.

He observed the two girls for a moment, noting that they seemed quite young and inexperienced to him. "I'll take lead."

A few additional minutes passed, and Vahliri eventually pulled the datapad out of her pocket once again - idly scrolling across the a few social media apps while she waited. Whoever it was that had been assigned to help her in this task, they were both taking their sweet-ass time. The half-Sephi constantly had to deal with Cairo, Ashla and Altair’s complaining about her habitually showing up last to their social outings - so the concept of being the first to arrive was equal parts surprising and irritating.

Vahliri’s attention was finally drawn away from her data pad when the two other Sith arrived - a sigh of relief escaping from her lips as it meant that she wouldn’t be stuck standing - or rather, slowly sinking - into the mud for much longer.

Of course, the half-Sephi’s eyes narrowed ever-so-slightly and lips turned downward into a sneer when she turned to face the other Acolyte - finally realizing who it was that was accompanying her for this mission. Vahliri immediately recognized Jordi’s face from that party bus, and the half-Sephi habitually never rarely forgot a voice. She immediately remembered the tense exchange between Altair and Jordi, and the way the Acolyte had acted the typical standoffish bigot based solely upon the Tiefling’s appearance.

Oh.. This bitch..😒

“Still one more we're waiting on.” She said curtly, unable to help the bit of contempt that bled into her voice. The half-Sephi didn’t really have any other option but to work with Jordi for the duration of the mission, but that didn’t necessarily mean she needed to be warm and fuzzy either.

The half-Sephi was prepared to follow the Acolyte and get moving when the last member of their party finally arrived - just short of being ditched at the entrance if he took any longer. Vahliri greeted him with a small wave of her hand. “Vahliri Kahtal.”

She watched as the Champion worked his way to the head of the group, confidently declaring that he would take the lead. The half-Sephi didn’t miss the way he observed them, likely coming up with the assumption that neither of them could handle themselves enough to lead the mission. Vahliri couldn’t help but roll her eyes.

“If you insist.” The half-Sephi began to follow Dragus and Jordi deeper into the swamp, her honeyed gaze cautiously flicking across the swampy terrain all around them.
