BIOGRAPHY
Sabarr. Dana had punched several men in the throat for calling her that. Sabarr was the highly derogatory term for a Kenaz born outside of the Kenaz system, or the close descendants of such a person. Dana's parents were both born on Coruscant, several hundred levels below the surface where the drastically different day lengths would not be an issue. Her grandparents were the first to move from Poyl, leaving the impoverished south while the planet was still recovering from wars and occupation. When she was 3, Dana's family returned to the Kenaz system, choosing to settle on Poyl's twin planet of Farasht due to the more cosmopolitan nature of the populace. From her new home, Dana could always look up and see the big blue ball hanging in the sky. Tidally-locked, her part of Farasht would always face Poyl. The family was not wealthy by any means, but they survived.

Seeking a totally new start, Dana took the shuttle ride from Farasht to Poyl, and began her college studies at the University of Monask. It was there that she saw the prejudice that was largely absent from Farashti society. It didn't matter how sweet she was, she was a Sabarr. It didn't matter how confident she was, she was a Sabarr. I didn't matter how smart she was, she was a Sabarr. It didn't matter she was stunningly beautiful, she was a Sabarr. Becoming withdrawn, she refused to divulge any personal details about her family, speaking of her history in only the most vague circumstances. She became good at lying as well, concocting entire backstories about how she was born on Coruscant only because her family was there on business, and she left when she was 3 days old, and how she wasn't really a Sabarr. She may have even begun to believe these stories herself.

It was in these depths that she met Longoom Neades, who himself ran against many of the Poylarr societal norms, and who she credits as being the first one who she believes truly saw her for more than where she was born. Later, she met Maers Khovich, the outspoken northerner who was frequently seen with Longoom. Although he was much more rigidly in line with Poylarr beliefs, the two slowly developed a begrudged respect for each other, and their relationship grew to what could be described as semi-friendly bickering. When Longoom graduated and was conscripted, he and Dana remained in frequent communication, and two years later following her own graduation, she moved to Ruten and started a career in social work in the civil service. Helping the poor, the stranger, and the outcast held a truly personal meaning for her, and Dana fulfilled this role to the very best of her abilities.

After seven years of work at this position, returning home at the end of a grueling work day, she was greeted at her front door by her old friend Longoom. Having finished his military service, he announced his intention to join the Kenaz Ambassadorial Corps and asked Dana if she wished to accompany him. Not idealistic college kids anymore, Dana simply responded that she had a life and a career of her own to prioritize. Speaking with her superiors, she was lambasted about passing up the opportunity and was given a list of important people and organizations in the Core Worlds on their behalf, and on the promise that her position would be waiting for her when she returned. Dana accepted on the spot, and signed on to the KAC that very day. Spending the train ride to Vorsh with Longoom talking, laughing, and catching up, Dana arrived at the main spaceport to find Maers waiting for the two of them, and she had to admit that deep down, she was even happy to see him too.

Personality
Humble and caring, Dana's personality is heavily influenced by her past. Having spent her childhood in a family that often struggled with finances gave Dana a deep sympathy with the poor.

Dana has forced herself to become more assertive, taking control of her life. Everything she has done Spending much of her adult life hiding who she was based solely on where she was born led Dana to have a deep disdain for all forms of specism and xenophobia. Although being a human born on Coruscant would have served her well in the Imperial era, the High Human culture practiced by the Empire's elites was one of the reasons Dana was heavily critical of the Empire. Highly outspoken about her beliefs, she will never hesitate to chide people who deserve it, and she has no issues holding her own in political discussions, a skill she honed in her third year of university when she and Maers would spend hours together conversing and debating.

Skills
Born on Coruscant, Dana is fluent in Galactic Basic as well as Kenaz, allowing her to flawlessly communicate with much of the galaxy, albeit it with a distinct accent. In addition to being able to speak with the galactic upper class, Dana has impressive rhetorical skills developed over the span of a decade, which will aid in any meetings where a certain level of persuasion may be required.

Raised on Farasht, she was brought up in a society much more in line with the mainstream galaxy both technologically and culturally, and serves as a middleman between her Poylarr friends and the societies they venture to. Knowing how to properly utilize civilian speeders, holo-communicators, and other technologies not widely available on Poyl has made her invaluable in the Core Worlds
