Happy Daredevil Day everyone.

Daredevil is finally here, I'm two episodes in so far, and I am really happy. Charlie Cox is playing a great Matt Murdock, and there are a couple mentions so far of the wider MCU.

The show seems to be taking a lot of keys from Frank Miller's Daredevil, which normally I hate everything that man touches, but his Daredevil is fantastic, so in this case it's a good thing.

The entire season is out today, so we're going to be going full spoilers, just a heads up for anyone who might start scrolling down. You've been warned.

Just finished episode four. Holy **** Fisk is brutal. There is a very good reason this show is TV-MA.

I love the transition between his lawyer and vigilante side. The dark undertone of Morality versus Fact really speaks to me as an aspiring lawyer. I think this is probably one of the better dark Marvel adaptions I have ever seen. Beats the Punisher by a long haul. I hope this series does well, cause I never want it to end.

I found Avenger tie ins as well. In episode 3 or 4 Wesley is talking about how the Russians can't handle anything as he says, and I quote, "Now if he had a suit of iron or a magic hammer then maybe it would explain how you keep getting your asses kicked."

I think it's better than the increasingly redundant MCU movies. Still suffers from the stereotypical problems at times, such as the design of his apartment. It is nice to see something of a real character for once.

And the first episode talking about the battle of New York wasn't enough for you?

The show was awesome, though the lack of a Punisher cameo or mention upset me, since Daredevil and Punisher often shared stomping grounds and often worked over the same organizations.

This is how he started to become Daredevil, since he technically isn't him yet.

So I loved the show for the most part, most of my issues with it really lay with the finale.

Was thoroughly surprised by the experience overall.

I found it to be a very well done origin story for both Daredevil and Fisk. I'm looking forward to the next season.

Finished episode 9 last night. Loved the episode on Fisk's childhood. Love this show all around.

I binged it in two days; episodes 1-7 and then 8-13. Now, disregarding things distracting me from watching (and needing sleep), I couldn't stop watching and had to force myself to stop the first day.

I feel like the actors, pretty much all of them, really nail their roles; Vincent D'Onofrio as Fisk in particular really impressed me, since I only knew him from Law & Order (lol irony amirite?). There were parts where I actually teared up, which rarely happens. The gritty look of the show really fit the idea of Hell's Kitchen being... Well, living up to its name, and while I was honestly shocked by the gore a few times, it never seemed out of place. And several things done and said in the season really struck a chord with me, and just serves to reinforce that Daredevil really is a street-level hero with street-level supporting characters.

My verdict: 10/10, can't wait for season 2 next year.

I agree that it felt like they had no idea how to end it, since Daredevil would be out of character to hunt and kill Fisk.

What should have happened, is something like this.

Nobu: "Well the man in the mask is blind. He and that annoying Stick attacked my operation on the docks that-"
Fisk: "Wait, he's blind? Are you sure?"
Nobu: "uhhh...yes."
Fisk: "Didn't we hire a blind lawyer, and didn't that same blind lawyer help take down Union, and isn't that same blind lawyer investigating the apartments situation?"
Nobu: "Huh. That's a bit of a coincidence."
Fisk: "Let's go pay Nelson and Murdock a visit."

They also employed a lot of blind people in their drug trade. So assuming every blind person is Daredevil is kinda hard.
