I stare out into the sun
And wonder
How could a gift like this
Be so cold?
Why must a family suffer
For so little?
I have seen many with gifts:
Powerful as the heavens
Legends of time.
But we, we are cursed;
The great power in the universe
Has weakened many
A people that would support it
That would use it
For the peace of the all.
We look and see nothing
Our Brothers belittle us;
We are not what they are,
And never will we be;
We cannot do what they can;
We try and cannot succeed;
Those of us who do
Are very weak;
Only manipulation
Of matter can be done;
This still is feeble;
The Khan family will never,
Never make a name for itself.

Suddenly I come to understand;
We are different;
We have a purpose;
I know not much about the Universe,
But I know it is mysterious;
This curse is a blessing;
It has not been, until now,
That the true power has been seen.
I see not Light and Dark,
But instead the Universe shows me;
I see the flow of not life,
But the Universe;
I am still restricted to Matter,
But I am no longer weak;
When I close my eyes,
I can feel it;
The Universe touches me;
Like tiny particles,
I see everything;
Now the Khan family is saved;
I can make a name
For the failures of the past
And the success of the Future;
I am the stepping stone for a Legend;

I am Darius Khan.

Darius Khan is no more than a nobody. He had left his family to live on his own at a young age. The Khan family, mainly the males, was noted for being highly Force sensitive with high mediclorian counts and yet extremely weak in the only core power they could use: telekinesis. He knew he had no life with the Jedi Order; his parents, both strong with the Force, had failed in training. They never gained enough access to the Force to even move a glass of water. He never even went to the Temple; he knew his future would be no different. Only a blood test would even have let him know he was even Force sensitive.

Darius studies martial arts at a young age, and eventually made it his career. He set up a training studio on his homeworld, Aldoran. He did not earn much, but it did not bother him. He spent the majority of his time alone sitting looking over a pleasant view. Everyone that was in his presence knew him as a philosopher more than a warrior. His class dealt with the purpose of combat. The martial art was a way to reach one’s inner self, not a way to beat in an opponent. Once one becomes one with themselves, Darius reasoned, they would become more powerful than any warrior.

Darius always said that he had never found his philosophy to be perfect. He constantly changed points; he knew that the universe was a mysterious place, and that he could never fully understand anything. In a way, his philosophy was just that. No matter how hard he could try, he would never be wise enough to truly understand anything. He reasoned that it was like an undefined point; one could come very close to completely understanding, but one would never reach that understanding.

Of course, one thing that Darius constantly wondered about, was his family’s weakness in the Force. He and the entire Jedi Order was astounded in the way his family could have so many mediclorians and yet only have one member ever reach the rank of Master in all of history. As the years carried on, he started to pull things together. It almost made sense to him. Finally, it hit him; the family was not weak. The Jedi taught every member how to use their ability the wrong way. Most Jedi see the Force in one common way. The Khan family saw the Force in a different way. Darius noticed that he could see the world around him by the flow of particles. This was the reason only telekinesis was available to his family. If he could only learn to tap this power. It would be difficult to find a teacher who could teach the Force to someone whose mediclorians reveal the particle world only. Some abilities would have to be developed or translated from the standard way, but he would manage.

Knowing his path, the young hopeful set off for the Academy. He left his top student to tend to his classes. Darius knew his path would be hard, but he realized it was his duty to learn how to used the telekinesis of the Khan family and pass it on to descendants. He did not want his family to be weak any longer.

Darius became a member of the famous Jedi Order without any difficulty. He went directly from hopeful status to Padawan within a few days of arriving at the Temple on Ossus. His master, Amaterasu Selena, spent the majority of his training years as a mentor, adviser, and teacher as he tried to discover the intricate way of controlling the Force. Both master and apprentice found difficulties in overcoming the Khan family restriction, and it took several months before either made any headway. Finally after the youth's meditation and the teacher's wise advice, the student Jedi discovered the way to access and use the core powers of Telekinesis.

Several years passed under the teachings of Master Selena, and the young Jedi discovered potential beyond all other members of his family. He could easily control simple objects through the Force; he could even control the most complex states of the universe, like liquids and gases, with some skill. However, his internship with his master did not last long; the Jedi Order split shortly before the completion of his training, and Amaterasu Selena left his life forever. Both fortunately and unfortunately, the student refused to acknowledge any special connection between him and his master; he felt no need to follow nor any distress on her departure. Because he could only see the Force on a particle level, he believed that all people encountered each other equally and he could not see the special bonds that formed between friends and mentors.

After his master left to join the Ospion forces, Darius faced a test devised by the council to determine if he learned enough to earn the rank of knight. He passed the test with only minor mistakes and finished by creating his own personal lightsaber. The new knight carved the crystal of his new tool by his own skill in telekinesis; the blade shined with a deep green that reached just below standard length and stood thicker than the typical sword. The lightsaber hilt fit the Jedi perfectly for a single hand style, and the chosen style of Shii-cho fit the weapon well. The young man, who once never considered the path of a Jedi, now gave his life to the Order for further understanding of the universe.

During his first decade as a knight, Darius spend time both meditating on the Force and perfecting his skills of telekinesis. A force sensitive by the name of Battu Patik worked with him off and on; with this elderly man, the knight learned various ways to manipulate his own inner Force through various martial arts. Through this training, he learned independent techniques for controlling solids, liquids, and air. Darius never spoke to anyone about his training with Battu, and many wondered how he developed his skills in telekinesis so well. Oddly enough, even Darius couldn't understand this, but he never truly discovered the history of Battu Patik. The old man, withered in time, never revealed how he knew so much about the Force and the techniques behind them; the Jedi could only guess that he had at one time been trained by the Order or a darker one. Even though the teacher remained a mystery, the results of the training were not. Darius Khan had effectively mastered the art of telekinesis.

Several years passed after the training sessions with the mysterious Patik, and the Jedi discovered new applications of his limited powers as time moved on. Chaos broke out constantly, and the Jedi did what the Order requested of him to help maintain galactic peace. By the time the Hutt War began, the Jedi Knight had spent just over twenty years training and working in the Order. He stood only a few steps away from promotion to master, and he felt prepared to do what the council required of him when the Jedi found their own calling in the Galaxy.

Age: 39
Class: Jedi Sentinel
Sword Style: Shii-cho

Force Powers:
Darius Khan can only use the core power of telekinesis. After twenty years of training, he mastered the basics of telekinesis and many applications of it. Some of the most common applications are Force Push and Pull, Force Jump, Force Deflect, and Force Barrier. Several other uses appear in his ability to manipulate liquids and gases. With water, he can easily use it to direct electric currents away from himself or encase a drenched opponent in ice. By control the flow of air particles, Darius can push and pull others, give himself a boost in a jump, or remove air friction while running or using a vehicle.

The only passive application of telekinesis Darius possesses is his form of Force Sense. The Jedi Knight can see objects through the Force from the physical vibrations of particles. So in essence, he can "feel" the vibrations of creatures walking on the ground, or the wind interacting with solid object. Seeing objects this way is second nature to Darius and it is the way he is capable of moving them. Even so, to see things in detail with this particle version of Sense, the Jedi has to concentrate deeply. Usually, vibrations of objects beyond fifteen meters are too blurry for him to distinguish without formal concentration.

The Jedi has discovered several applications to the simple core power of telekinesis, and he has worked hard to make each use effective when he needs them.

Jardin Helt:
One of the many Jedi Counselors in the Jedi Order, Jardin Helt stood at a short height of 1.7 meters and weighed fifty-nine kilograms. He remained fit for a human male of age thirty-two, and practiced speed and agility more than brute strength. His locks reflected golden light, and his face sported a full, well trimmed beard. Many people said that he had the look of peace in his dark blue eyes.

As a Jedi Knight, Jardin practiced mainly the use of the Force, but he trained in sword defense with the common sword form of Ataru. As a Jedi counselor, he believed that the path to enlightenment existed only within the Force, and he strove everyday to find a true inner peace. He chose his lightsaber blade to match his life goal, and evermore carried a pure, brilliant silver weapon. Jardin picked the color so that anyone he faced in battle would realize that he would sooner die than allow darkness to corrupt him.

Jardin spent the majority of his life within the Jedi Order and trained his skills with the Force, blade, and philosophy. As a knight he met one of his greatest friends, Darius Khan in a training room. Khan could only manipulate objects using telekinesis, but, even when they sparred using only Force powers, he gave Jardin plenty of trouble. Few people in the Order understood why the two became such great friends; the two had different combat ideals: Khan wanted to end the fight quickly with the blade, and Jardin desired a peaceful ending with the Force. The only thing that they had in common was a fascination with philosophy, and they would often engage in philosophical arguments regarding the Force and martial combat.

Dominik Solard:
One of the bold guardians of the Jedi Order, Dominik Solard stood at an average height of 1.85 meters and weighed seventy-six kilograms. At the age of thirty-four, he trained to keep his body at its physical limit. He moved quite nimbly for a human, which allowed him to use his lightsaber skills to their fullest. He had very short black hair, and his dark brown eyes pierced deeply into anyone that looked at them. People often would comment on how serious he acted and how much discipline he forced on himself.

As a Jedi knight, Dominik spent most of his time studying the art and philosophy of the blade. Instead of focusing his Force energy through complex powers, he learned to guide his weapon with his inner power. As a student, he chose a form that seemed uncommon at the time; he practiced the style called Sokan, that used techniques and philosophies of using the terrain to help reach at vital areas and weak points. Instead of focusing mainly on strength, like other guardians would often do, Dominik focused on agility so that he could take advantage of his sword form even in tight spaces. He perfected the ability to do flips, wall runs, and acrobatic maneuvers without any Force assistance, and so he managed to do impressive feats with his powers active.

Dominik spent the greater part of his youth in a student oriented Republic officer training organization. He learned self-discipline and order there long before he chose to join the Jedi Order at age sixteen. Upon joining the Jedi Order, he met two lifetime friends, Jardin Helt and Darius Khan. Darius and he held similar views about combat, but often times he would find himself in conflict with their pacifistic friend. The three of them were not all alike at all, but they became virtually inseparable. While Dominik always followed rules down to the smallest footnote, Darius acted more carefree in his daily life. Jardin hardly resembled either of the two, and often studied the Force while the other two sparred with their weapons. Even so, the three would try to accompany each other in missions together as often as possible, and it became clear that they would die before abandoning any one of them.

((These two are NPC's created for use in this thread. On the event that they survive that battle, anyone is free to use these characters in their storied))
