*Kal’Shabbol, said by many to be the glowing gem of the Ashlan Expanse. Josiah watched as the morning sun rose over the Ashlan Mountains, casting an early morning light on the Bendu Temple of Light. Dozens of citizens of his world flocked to the area just to feel the breeze of the Grasslands of the Ashla and catch a glimpse of the temple at dawn. Many sat and prayed while others simply admired the beauty of their surroundings.

Josiah observed all of it from the highest chamber of the temple, admiring the beauty of the surroundings. It was a sight he saw every morning, yet every time the sun rose he found something new to admire. He had woken up a few hours earlier, just as he did every morning, leaving his empty bed in his room. Even though he had almost reached the age of fifty, he had never married and had no children to carry on the Rendar line. However, the walls of the temple were filled with memories of his mother and father and his grandmother.

Things had changed greatly since Ussej had been killed. After Kalel Kitsune and Cos Jonathan Dashin had left Kal’Shabbol after returning the Sword of The Skywalker, he began spending a great deal of time alone in his chambers, writing down many more reforms for the order. However, he could not keep his mind off of something that Ussej had asked him to tell the Jedi Council: “tell the Jedi I said thank you”. Over a year later, he knew that it was time to tell the Jedi Council just that, as well as the time to offer them his assistance. It was the least that he could do, considering how much trouble the Bendu had caused the Jedi.

It would obviously be an awkward meeting between him and the Jedi Council, assuming he was even allowed to speak before them. However, if he could convince the Jedi that he had nothing but kindness and righteousness in his heart then perhaps they would both be able to work together to help the Republic rise to power once again. First, however, he would have to spend time continuing the training of his students. As he placed his robe over his shoulders and walked through the halls to exit into the Grasslands, he could not help but remind himself that it was his first and most important priority.*

A cold early breeze awoken him as it rode across his face remaining posted on top of the hill side mountains. From afar he could see all the young lings playing across the grasslands with much joy. The young lings reminded him of himself when he too were a young lad training to become a Bendu Knight. It has been quite a time since Kravin had experianced joy or journeyed into the deep space let alone held a light saber in combat. Yet again Kravin still had some type of erge that kept him from having his green bladed light saber clipt on his right side of his belt buckle at all times for his comfort and safety issues. After the death of Ussej Bac the III Kravin needed his own time to think his thoughts through and needed to come up with plan for his next decision toward helping the republic even if it met confronting the Jedi for aid. So he decided to isolate himself from the Bendu Temple and instead re-located into the Ashlan's mountains where he built his own little house for independent time and training. It were a small little house with an old fashion chimney built with nothing but brick. All citizens of Kal’Shabbol knew Kravin lived in the Ashlan's mountain and if you stood in the grasslands durring the day you could see the puff of smoke coming out of the chimney from the mountains, but if you didn't, it usually meant that Kravin was currently not home.

He took a few steps down the grassy mountains toward the temple until he came across one of the Bendu guards. The guard escorted him to the temple chamber door where two guards were posted. The guards bowed down in his respects like any other proper gentlemen and allowed him acceptance into the Bendu Temple. As he walked in all eyes were focus on him but it were no question that some of the Bendu were unsure of Kravin's motives. He had spent some time alone in the Ashlan's mountains but he were no saint nor insane. He entered the Bendu Libary with a memory stick at hand that contained lost information of a Bendu holocron and plugged it into the source of the libary. Kravin had found a memory stick in the mountains but was not able to read its text entirely and instead decided to take it to the libary hoping for an answer.

*As he made his way down the golden staircase, he watched as Kravin Prime was granted admission into the temple. It had been some time since he had last son the young Priest, as he had asked him for permission to move into the mountains for an extended training hermitage. Josiah allowed it and had someone else take over his religious duties in his village. Following Kravin, as he hoped for a conversation to catch up on things, he made his way into the Bendu libraries and watched as Kravin placed a memory stick into one of the few computers in the library.

Josiah had always enjoyed the fact that the Bendu Libraries were made up of mostly books, scrolls and other ancient texts. Ussej had told him about the great Jedi Archives on Coruscant and how it was completely computerized. To both of them, having a computer do the research for you took the work and the fun of discovery out of it. Why the Jedi would choose to rely on machines, he did not know. As he let all thoughts of the Jedi exit his mind, he pulled up a seat and sat down next to the young Priest.*

“What have you found?”

The computer panel pulled out an awkward reading from the memory stick of some sort of Bendu scroll. Kravin didn't know what to make of it except the map it had traced. It appeared the map was very out of date for its time because it showed the location of the holocron in a look to be Jedi enclave but could of not exist he thought. Kravin knew the mountains from the bottom up to the top down surface. There had to be an explanation he theoryed, perhaps it was sealed off by rocks. What ever the reason the Bendu holocron was not going to find itself. Kravin clicked on a print out on the computer screen of the scroll so he could take a copy home and study it a bit more. While it started to print an old familiar voice appeared just a seat next to him.

"Josiah Rendar?" he whispered under his breath. It has also been a great deal of time since Kravin had spoken to Josiah in person. The last time Kravin could remember speaking to him is when he asked permission to move to the Ashlan's mountains. Every once and then Kravin would contact him through voice mail letting him know how hes doing but never in person. He turned toward Josiah's side with a warm greeting smile.

"Greetings High Priest Rendar. What brings you here this early in the morning?" Yet Kravin already knew the answer to his question. Everyone knows that Josiah Rendar always wakes up bright and early in the morning to start off his day. It was a wonder why Kravin bothered asking. He stood up from his chair and grabbed ahold of his print out. " You mean this old thing? Well I suppose you could call it just some regular old holocron. You know me I always have an interest in old Bendu holocrons especially if they have been long forgotten."
