The Dawn Temple was an ancient and abandoned Jedi temple built in a river valley beneath Mount Tellec on the planet Spinitr and was designed to be a spiritual retreat for members of the Jedi Order who had lost their way and were looking for redemption from the dark side of the Force.


Description

This large temple looms over the river valley on Spinitr. The temple was sacked during the Sith Empire's offensive against the Jedi Order five centuries ago, leaving it almost entirely empty. The structure has been poorly maintained in the centuries since. The locals believed it to be haunted, filled with the vengeful spirits of those who died in the battle, and refuse to go near it.

In reality, no ghosts walk the abandoned halls of the Dawn Temple. Instead, weathering has, over time, weakened its stone walls, allowing nature to creep back in. Its halls and empty chambers are overgrown with vines and plant life and might also be the home of local wildlife, who have taken to using it as a shelter. In particular, its sub-levels are infested with deadly laigreks: a large, predatory and venemous insect species.

These sub-levels might yet contain secrets—old tomes and holocrons—unknown to the Sith due to their inability to access areas bound by the light side of the Force, but the laigrek infestation makes retrieving the temple's secrets an incredibly dangerous task. The skeletons of those who dared to attempt to loot these lower levels still litter the floors.
