DDoS attack launched against Imperial government networks, 'tasteful' wermal nudes distributed
By Dani Leone - 154 ABY

The war between the ISC and the Sith Empire continues to grow, with the ISC making significant moves against the Sith, striking their shipyards and decimating their Southern strongholds. However, in a recent development, the (in)famous fan club associated with Emryc Thorne is suspected of launching their own attacks on the ISC's adversaries.

Last night around 23:23, reports started filing in from various sources that several Imperial websites associated with Imperial intelligence were experiencing disrupted services as their networks were flooded with millions and millions of image and file uploads, user requests, and other markers of a DDoS attack.

DDoS stands for Distributed Denial of Service attack and is often used by slicers to disrupt websites and networks to prevent them from being used or accessed.

The "I <3 You, Emryc Thorne!" fan club is being suspected for two reasons. Firstly, the club's official blog, run by Pootalina Thorne herself, in its 764's post titled "The Time for Retailation! A Call for Action!" asked members of the fan club willing to "rise up and protect" the ISC as they "are honor bound to defend" it for their "Emy-poo." The sophisticated verification process after following the provided link not only prevents unofficial fan members from joining the mentioned server, but also prevents those under 18 from accessing it, which leads to the second reason why the club is suspected.

The Imperial networks were overloaded with what were described as "tasteful nudes of Ms. Pootalina Thorne" by one of our correspondents. There are reportedly several dozen different images, several of them including a pair of black leather handcuffs and a maid costume (@Altaris).

We have reached out to Ms. Pootalina Thorne about her involvement in the attack and we did receive a response. She claimed she "was just as shocked to see her photos out there are we are" and that she had "no part in organizing the DDoS attack on the Sith." She additionally claimed that the club is working on something else entirely, and made no further comments or answered any further questions regarding these plans.

No matter who did or did not orchestrate the attack, it is certain that they were working in the interest of the ISC. It is unknown whether or not the Imperial networks have recovered control of their servers or how much damage the attack did.
