ADMIN NOTE: An RP Administrator, ie. not me, will be reviewing the situation and making a decision shortly. Please be patient until that happens. Thanks.

Besides that, technology's not even good enough in the movies for a ship to fly itself to the hangar doors and pick someone up; if anything, that's god modding imo.
(((OOC: Ok guys,( Aussie sorry i busted in your thread like that, I am newish to this site and didn't understand i had to ask as well as be invited) First off... Shawn's ship has an A.I. built into it, sort of like a built in R2-D2... who by the way could fly a ship in a limited fashion, also just saying that even here we have autonomous ships, humvees etc... I would also like to point out for your consideration that, Aussie did g-mod first, attempting to flush Shawn into space... but that was just a point i was trying to make, i will not interfere any longer without the proper... notifications and such...

Flushing someone into space is not god-modding, it's a perfectly plausable way to ensure someone's death.

Just wait for the admins to reach a decision.

Alright well since no Role-Play Administrators have stepped up to take care of this, despite the person who reported this understanding that they needed to contact one (instead of me), I'll give the judgment.

You can't shoot someone into space. Period. When Kurt and Dakar did something similar to someone a few days after the timeline began, the guy (can't remember who it was) had about thirty seconds to get to his ship before the area decompressed. That's fair game. The guy got to his ship and went out into space. When he went out into space, a barrage of missiles were shot at him in all directions. Since the guy couldn't just jump into hyperspace like the Enterprise jumps into warp speed, that's when he was killed. That was fair game. Keep in mind that Kurt and Dakar also had a giant blue whale of a ship, so most ships can't just shoot that many missiles out.

This is not fair game the way you were trying to do it, Aussie. Flushing someone into space, ie. you stopping just short of confirming in your post that they died, IS godmodding. In free form RP, you can't say that someone died and it's not fair to write your post in a way that guarantees they have to die in their next post. The only exception to this is something like you've both already established that someone has fallen to the ground in a duel and lost their weapon, and you bring your lightsaber down quickly towards their neck. It doesn't guarantee death there, but it makes it pretty hard to avoid it.

There also seems to be issues with descriptions here. Essentially, I mean this:

Slowly, Eclipse left the room, it was fair to assume the man was dead, there was no way he could survive in space, Eclipse had noticed no oxygen tanks on the man's suit, but the harsh gravity of the nearby dead planet would no doubt crush his body in due course anyhow.
You never established you were nearby a dead planet. You threw that in there to make it more difficult for him to survive. You can't do that. Arm is right in saying that you made it sound like you were in the middle of nowhere. You said, "They were in solitude, no one knew where this ship was." While you likely meant "solitude" in terms of no one knowing they were there, I would also interpret that as meaning you were in the middle of nowhere with nothing around.

I'm also going to take issue with this:

Of course, if anybody were monitoring a locator chip somewhere on the man's body, the jammer onbourd the ship will have locked the locators last known setting in place, meaning anybody monitoring Shawn's life would see no difference should his death occur.
You wrote that in there based on your OOC knowledge of what was said by another RPer, and it was never established beforehand. Had you established beforehand that your ship was equipped with a signal jammer then that would be one thing, but you never did. You established it in a specific attempt to screw someone else over.

On the other hand, I'm inclined to also call foul on the locator to begin with. Arm seemed to write that in there based on you requiring him to leave his weapons behind, and such a transmitter is not part of the equipment section of his profile. That's not as big a deal as the jamming the signal part, but it's still something to take heed of.

My judgment? I'm invalidating this entire thread. If you still want to RP this, start over and do it right. As far as you guys are concerned, though, this thread never happened.
