Alhazred was somewhat shocked his idea worked.

True, it was a well reasoned idea. A sign of trust from them would no doubt help ease the people who were scared. But still, he was half-surprise that the doors opened.

The Nu-Vaal's heart sank a little as he studied the people pointing the weapons at the group. They were indeed scared. However, the fear was lessoned. The song in the Force from this group was more filled with discordant flutes. An air of confusion eminated from these beings. Perhaps , they weren't expecting the group to surrender so willingly. Or perhaps, they weren't expecting anyone to be here at all.

The Professor gave a rough translation of what the Zabrack said.

"We are scholars" Alhazred explained himself simply, still keeping his hands on his head, hoping the professor could roughly translate the group's words. "I am Jedi Knight Alhazred, and we come in peace. Our vessel is nonfunctioning, we hoped to make repairs..."

Alhazred could only hope that the species understood his and the group's words if they introduced themselves or asked questions. The Jedi dared not attempt any form of telepathy yet. With how unnerved these individuals were, an incursion into one of their minds, even as benevolent as simple communication, could be seen as an attack.

Alhazred felt another wave of fear. The woman at the leader's side was more terrified than the rest of the group together. But it was a different kind of fear. It was the same kind of fear Alhazred felt when his fellow padawan was in danger of the starweird, though the female's was much more intense.

That woman.... Alhazred mentally spoke to the Togruta and the Professor. He doubted they would be shocked at hearing his voice in their heads. They knew he was a Jedi. I believe she has lost someone....a youngling, or an elder perhaps?

Trodai was satisfied as the droid fell over, apparently disabled. Good. One less problem to deal with he thought. As the mouse started ranting, he simply ignored it. They hardly seemed the effort to address, even if they did have the Force. Instead he continued to observe Caerllion up until the door opened.

Looking down the stairway, he didn't trust it.

He noted how the lockdown seemed to lift, and the return of the white haired medic, as machinery that was dead came alive. He observed how there was yet another door only one floor below them. And he motioned Kyssiria down the stairs and towards it at least at first. As he looked through the viewpoint he was a most unusual sight he did not expect. A unknown Pureblood. One who appeared to be wearing some type of hat and holding a lightwhip. As he gave them a cheeky grin, Trodai eyes glared with Dave at seeing him stealing what they needed. Stealing from the Sith. It would not go unpunished no matter what he thought about them.

Trodai turned quickly to his apprentice "Get after him! Retrieve that crystal by any means necessary! And bring him to us alive if you can, we need answers. He might have some. Do not let him escape apprentice regardless. I shall deal with the droid keep in contact using our com-link or the Force if possible."

As he allowed her to give chase, he observed the security droid that had been released. Somehow he was not surprised to encounter yet more droids. Although the Pureblood had been unexpected. He wondered from which tribe they came from and how long they had been here. As he observed and noted the droid he recognized features about it that were familiar as he analysed for weaknesses and strengths. It was very similar to the previous and now destroyed droid, more or less the same just...beefed up.

It looked top-heavy with a single optic that he could tell could be easily damaged, far more than some other battledroids he had seen. As the droid began to power up, he wasn't about to give it the chance to start opening fire. And so he looked at the team tubes, if he remembers they were the precursor to blasters which made the droid very old. It would be a slow fire rate but powerful.

He would seek to remove the left arm first and so the beam tubes.

And so again did he draw on the Force, to try and crush the weapon arm, hopefully the others decided to assist. It was afterall blocking them from the Pureblood running away.

Well, nobody had shot them yet. That was a start. Still, people were pointing weapons at them. Said weapons, Kaala noticed, had external powerpacks. So either they were incredibly outdated or veery high power. She hoped they were outdated. Subconsciously she realized wearing a stormtrooper helmet might be a bad idea if these people knew about the Empire. Too late now. When the Jedi mused in her head if the one woman had lost someone, Kaala started. Her montrals had picked up some crying from a child, but the Fiani had started looking for it, so Kaala had decided to let it go.. "A child," she whispered to the Jedi.

Rina jumped as the power came back on in the room, her gaze turning toward the bank of windows that the shutters had revealed. Drawn by a ruby glow, she went toward it, small hands pressing up on the transparisteel as she looked down at the scene below. She marveled at the sight, then blinked... who was that?

"Hey!"

Whatever the stranger had taken, Rina thought that it looked important, a sentiment confirmed by the Doctor a moment later. Droids she could deal with, people... well, there was a reason she had chosen the profession she did. Speaking of, however.

"Oh... wow."

The machine that swung out into the corridor bore an unmistakable resemblance to its fellow, although unlike the fallen droid, Rina had no doubts that this machine had hostile intent. It looked primitive by her standards, however, and not especially well maintained; the Tintinna wondered how long it had stood in its charging alcove, waiting for an activation code...

As she back away from the window, she caught sight of the droid's legs. The were even worse than usual; streaks of partially evaporated grime ran down from the knee joint, evidence that something important had broken down inside. She doubted the thing could move very fast...

As the stranger disappeared down the corridor, Rina gritted her teeth, summoning up her courage as an idea came to her. To one side, she could see one of the Sith preparing to attack; that was fine, he would at least distract it.

"Kriff... somebody cover me!"

Rina sprinted, weaving and dodging in a way that she hoped would confuse whatever targeting circuitry the droid had. Gambling on its inability to intercept her, she planned to dash around it, pursuing the escaping thief while the others doubtless fought the security unit.

Caerllion ignored the fiasco caused by Kyssiara and the droid, preferring to pay attention in the door that was slowly being open. Obviously, he was as far away from it as possible, solely watching while the mechanisms and gears sounded loudly. When Trodai and his apprentice got close to it, the Annfyn approached and stayed behind them.

Since there wasn’t any secret bomb or blasters being fired at them, Caerllion felt that it was safe to proceed through the door. He proceeded there, looking around in search of something that could help them. The stairway that led down seemed to be an interesting path, but he decided to investigate the reinforced glass.

He saw a generator with some type of crystal acting as a power source.

And there is a Sith Pureblood stealing it.

While Trodai screamed that they should chase the Pureblood with support of the Doctor, Caerllion went to investigate the control room. Now that there wasn’t a droid screaming in his ears, the Annfyn was able to understand that the system's interface was mostly in binary. Not only that, but he could also read it.

If the instructions were correct, once the crystal is replaced, the generator could be rebooted and the system would automatically direct power to the spire. This area in particular seemed to be very important to the station, with the system programmed to not power it if an override system was given.

And, surprise! An override command had been applied, but he couldn’t know when it happened.

What a joy!

Trodai, you need to retrieve the crystal now. I know what to do with it.’ Caerllion told his ex-apprentice through their telepathic bond. It would depend on them to bring that piece to solve the puzzle of this space station.

Team Professor — Not bad, Nye thought as he inspected the beam tube weapon. Although not on par with normal blasters still, this one may fetch a nice price from a collector back home. Nye also saw the photo. One thing stood out, a Sith Pureblood appearing to have a family with a non-pureblood and having a child. The Red Sith species is a rare sight in the galaxy. Long thought to not exist, or even heard of. But Nye knows. This is a strange and unknown station indeed. Connections to the ancient Hutts, connections to Xim's Empire. Now Sith? What else is on this station he wonders.

And the child, a human-Sith hybrid. Unheard of. Nye would leave the photo where he found it, but not before taking a picture of it with his EZPhone.

As Nye was taking cover, he saw the welcoming party of a variety of xenos with blasters pointing at the Jedi and pilot as the door finally opened. They are getting somewhere here.

Nye did notice something odd that stuck out to him. While the greeters were welcoming his 'colleagues', there was one person in the crowd that was looking around, besides the local person who seemed to in charge. And it came to him, that woman is the same lady from the picture he looked up moments ago. She seemed very distracted and preoccupied with something elsewhere... And then he went in the direction of the Sith and Imperial (@Logan @Remileah). "Did you see a light-red skinned girl by any chance? "I have a pretty good idea that a child with that description is missing and I know who the mother is."

His timing couldn't better it seems.

The young jedi had to do a double take as she realized the white-haired doctor (@Sreeya) had rejoined their group. A small smile pulled at the corner of her lip feeling less guilty about thinking how cute he looked and even had common sense compared to most of the group. Able to get the door open, Theia continued with the others, boots clattering against the metal overlook as she come to observe the generator that was powering the station. To the very least, she was surprised to see someone down there, red-toned and now stealing shit, with some sass grin and making their day just a bit harder.

The chiss doctor called out, alarmed to see what the rest of them were seeing. Was it this cosplay adventurer-guy that was causing them this much trouble? Though more trouble would emerge as a large droid made its presence known. Like the other droids, Theia didn't have a clue on what type of droid it could be; it was old most likely, undeniably blocky and ugly, if she had to make a comparison, protocol droids definitely were more aesthetically pleasing.

Unlike the droid from earlier, there was one thing she was certain about the tubes on its arm, it was lethal, "I got you! GO! GO!" she shouted to Rina (@AutoFox), falling in step with the Force as her mind cleared and she activated her vibroblade, "Hey you, you rejected coded garbage!" she yelled, hoping to draw the attention of the security droid to herself to give the Sith (@Akheron) a chance to crush its weapon and for Rina to get pass the obstacle without becoming mi(n)cemeat.

___As Azathoth (@Logan) led the way, Four covered their rear. She remained silent even as the Sith attempted to rib her about her ears and tail. As they got closer to the source of the sound, Four stopped. Her ears flicked as her eyes glanced sideways, and there, nestled amid the haphazardly strewn articles and other goods, was the child they were looking for. The woman lowered her rifle and began slowly approaching the girl.

___"Hey," she said in a soft, gentle voice, unlike what she had used to address the rest of the group. Four put away her rifle before the girl looked at her, raising her hands disarmingly. "I'm not going to hurt you," the Cipher cooed quietly, her features softening as a warm smile tugged up the corners of her mouth. The girl started crying again as Four approached, causing her to step back again. Once she was a few paces back, the girl stopped crying, resuming her piteous whimpers and whines.

___"Nobody's going to hurt you, little one," Four said, curling her tail forward so it could lie on the ground at her side. Azathoth's statements about her tail and ears might have been to get a rise from her, but they held some truth. They appealed to children of all races and ages, and she intended to use that to her advantage. Her attention diverted to Nye (@The Good Doctor) as he walked up, and she gestured for him to slow down and maintain a respectable distance.

___"As you can see, we did," she informed him. "She's scared, though. I'm trying to calm her down a little and trust us," she continued, her attention turning to the little girl again. "Do you know where her mother is?"

It seemed the Anfynn and Iymril were of a similar mindset. Both of them allowed the rabble to chase after the most presenting part of the issue, the two of them stayed behind. Iymril’s ears had flattened themselves to protect their sensitive hearing from the constant bleating of binary script. That caused the mounting headache to ease slightly as they began to steadily work at a data terminal.

It took a little while but eventually Iymril was able to find a workaround. They gained access to several cameras and a map of this area of the facility. Iymril plugged in their EZPhone and downloaded the partial map and linked the camera feeds to their cell phone. Afterwards, their gaze turned down an open doorway.

Several more terminals were available from what they could see. Iymril glanced over to the Anfynn and went to call for him. It was only then that they realized they didn’t actually remember his name. Not that they actually cared about that. Instead, they whistled at the Anfynn to get his attention and then lazily pointed towards the other terminals.

This one had camera feeds and a map of this area.” They explained. “The others could have the same.” Iymril pointed out. “You take one and I’ll take the other?” Came the offered question.

Regardless of the Anfynn’s response, Iymril moved to the next nearest terminal and began their work once again. As they waited for the terminal to boot up, they sent a copy of the map and the camera feeds to Kyssiara. That was the only being they knew and had the contact information for, so she’d have to do.

Kaedan approached the locked door slowly, wanting to know if any progress was made. His fellow jedi confirmed that little progress was made but there was a language barrier. "Interesting." The young knight watched the droid companion of the pilot made its way to the door. When it began working on the door, there was a massive surge of feeling coursing through Kaedan. The force was communing with him, showing him how bad of an idea this was. Before he could say anything, Alhazred gave his command. Luckily, the pilot called off the droid. Phew, crisis averted.

Alhazred suggested an act of surrender; to show that they weren't a threat or meant any harm. On paper, it was a good idea. Whether it worked or not remained to be seen. Even so, Kaedan frowned at the words from the pilot. She was willing to harm others which in the scope of being alive was normal but to vocalize such threats. "If you try to bring harm to them, I will have to stop."

As the doors were opening, Kaedan approached his comrades with his hands up in surrender. Being on the business end of a blaster was a new experience for him. He began to wonder how his mom handled constantly being a target. Kaedan admired the fact that people of different looks and ages could come together even if that meant threatening to blast him and his friends. It showed a level of camaraderie. He was very intrigued. When the Zabrak lowered her blaster and spoke, the young knight waited on a possible translation and The Professor delivered along with a joke. A small smirk found his lips.

Alhazred introduced them as scholars and spoke of his role as a Jedi knight as well as outlining why they were there. "I am also a Jedi Knight, the name's Kaedan. We come in peace." He stood still, hoping that they would see that they are not the enemy.

The fire, and the assist from their master. As the dangerous droid fell, Kyssiara stood tall, victorious, and completely unharmed. That was, until the mouse-like alien who'd spoken to the thing informed the group that the droid was not, in fact, an assassin droid. The Pureblood girl looked back and forth between the mouse and the droid, a mix of confusion and sheepish embarrassment on her face. She'd been certain that thing was an assassin droid...right?

Regardless of what the droid actually was, there were other games afoot. The next door opened, and Kyssiara's master made sure to voluntell her to be the first down the stairs it revealed and into the next room. Perhaps even more shocking was the appearance of a brown leather-clad Pureblood stealing a crystal in the next chamber; someone Trodai immediately told her to rush after, an order Kyssiara followed without hesitation. The stranger's suspicious resemblance to an old holomovie the girl barely remembered was curious enough, but without the energy source he'd stolen the group would have no chance at getting out of this place.

Eyeing the activating droid out of the corner of here eye, which appeared to definitely be a combat droid this time, Kyssiara channeled the Force to try and run by the thing with unnatural speed. If she could get down the stairs and through the doors before it fully activated, it wouldn't be a threat to them. As she ran, the girl felt a buzz from their EZPhone. Who could be messaging in the middle of this? Without stopping, Kyssiara grabbed the device from her bag and checked the message. It was a map, from Iymril of all people. She certainly wouldn't complain.

Seeing the mouse running the same direction, the acolyte called out, "I've got a map, follow me!"

To be quite honest, Aza hadn’t actually expected to find a child. Her time with the Sith had taught her many lessons, and chief among them was that things and people lied. They tricked you, lured you into traps, all in an attempt to lull you into a soft sense of security.

She had fully intended to let the Fiani fall into this trap alone, to die, and for her to pick through the pieces to find whatever true information was left after.

Instead, they had found a literal child. And for the fleetingest of moments, Aza felt a touch of empathy for it. Her mind drifted back to a time in her own youth when she had felt worried and afraid, unable to do anything to help herself and with a child’s mind, not even really being able to understand why she was so scared.

And this moment was what stayed her hand, kept her mouth shut, and allowed Four to take the lead in coaxing the young one into potentially trusting them.

Azathoth noticed that the little girl’s eyes were drawn back towards the door and so too were hers, just in time to see the thing open and for strange backpack-blaster wielding beings to come out of it.

Where in the hell were they? What was this place?

She turned her attention back to Four and with a tone of disinterest, she said. I will leave the child to you.

Aza knew what she looked like, knew how people perceived her as some sort of fright from a horror holovid. Her last strands of empathy understood that she was not the best person to try to console a frightened child.

Instead, she started to make her way back towards the others, toward the door, her hands hanging idly at her sides to show that she had no weapon and posed no threat in case the locals were jumpy.

More than anything else, at least right now, she just wanted to know what was going on.

Rowan stumbled into the scene just in time to catch the Chiss doctor sighing. He could see the remains of a droid and didn’t have to guess that the Sith were at it again with their antics. He almost regretted coming back. The doors opened and the young doctor spotted another red being that bolted. The security droid sprang into action, but it had multiple people on it.

Rowan had a blaster in hand and he gave chase just enough to fire a stun bolt at the disappearing Pureblood as he imagined himself as some sort of action hero. Of course, it was a total shot in the dark and unlikely to hit its mark. He banked on the mouse girl being too small of a target to even be accidentally clipped.

If the shot completely missed, Rowan would simply join the figures in the control room because he wasn’t about that combat life.

The Professor stood to one side of Alhazred and looked at the Jedi like he had grown a second head because, well, did he really expect him to be able to translate all of that into a language he barely knew that shared only some words with the language these people were speaking? For the first time in his life, the Professor cursed at the Jedi proclivity for being verbose.

"Right um... Is daoine leabhar - foghlaim - muid. Anseo le cur in áirithe!"

He was reasonably certain he might have just called them all "book people" rather than scholar but it was as close as he was willing to risk getting. Instead of his translation getting through, however, it was one of the words that Alhazred mentioned that got through.

"Je'daii? Myth cinnte... Chruthú é!"

The Professor knew that last one!

"Ah! They say 'prove it'! Can you or the other Knight, Kaedan, provide proof of... well of Je'daii-hood I suppose?"

The approach of Azathoth, as she expected, was viewed with mistrust by those armed civilians huddled together in the other room but none of them went to shoot her. After all, there were some species in the crowd that were far from the galactic-norm as well. Still, she was treated with wariness and fear as another potential threat.

As they were attempting to play the part of translators, Nye was piecing together more of the story of the location from some of the scattered fragments of knowledge available in the market place. While he was piecing this together, the little girl from the picture was staring up at Four with big, round, eyes full of fear and uncertainty. It was then, inevitable, that she started to cry, loudly, muttering a word over and over again as she did.

Four wouldn't recognise the word - Máthair - but she didn't need to know the language to know exactly what it was. The young girl was crying, quite literally, for her mother. Still, the crying died down as the soft tail came round and Four's ears naturally twitched and bounced - immediately captivating the young girl who reached out, tentatively, with a hand to run it along a short length of the fluffy tail, seemingly transfixed for the moment.

"Mo chailín leanbh!"

Back at the doorway, one of the civilians seemed to have heard the cries through the tense exchange; a human woman was being held back by one of her fellow civilians as she called out, clearly, for someone.

Up in the control room, The Doctor busied himself working on some of the smaller, connected, consoles as Caerllion got himself up to date on the operating of the main system. It was a real boon that the Sith Master was such a wise and learned fellow and The Doctor felt no issue in passing along his genuine compliments.

"Master Caerllion - I must compliment you on your outstanding slicing abilities."
he praised, pushing his glasses up slightly, "Truly, you must be a man of many talents to be versed in both the technological and the mystical."

He shifted slightly at Iymril adding that they, too, had managed to gather something from the consoles while the Doctor had only managed to get some surface level logs on the maintenance of the generator. Logs that showed that the generator hadn't had a properly logged maintenance cycle in, literally, hundreds of years. Hells - he'd even found some rambling logs from someone recording in binary about his daily life as a "raider", as though this barely functional piece of technology was their personal diary.

Still, he had led enough teams in his time as a Doctor to know to give good praise when it was due to all.

"Likewise, excellent work Iymril. You are, both, a credit to your order. Were this a typical expedition I would be offering extra class credits but, well, I don't suppose either of you want some transferrable class credits for the university of outer Naboo do you?"

Down below, the large droid found itself unable to target Kyssiara as she was the first one out of the gate as it were, using her impressive speed to get moving after the fleeing Pureblood before it was fully deployed. Likewise, as it was deploying for combat, the small form of Rina was tracked for all of a second before its internal processes declared that the small woman was, clearly, too small and darting in motion to be anything more than the local equivalent to a house cat - the priority of aprehension of the cat/rat was downgraded immediately and its targetting moved.

Originally, it had been moving to aim at Trodai as the Sith made for the biggest of the most obvious targets. However, as the Sith was reaching into the Force, Theia grabbed its attention and as the weapons began to fire, the droid was bringing its beam-tube chaingun to bare on the Jedi. As it was moving however, Trodai's use of the Force took hold and had the added benefit of slowing the droid's movement, as if holding the weapon-arm back with the audible groan of tortured metal.

Of course this had the slightly detrimental effect of having the arm still mostly pointed at Trodai as it began to fire - a stream of red began to burst from the arm at the Sith. Every half a second, the next tube would fire, letting off a burst from all six tubes directly at Trodai in the space of 3 seconds. What was immediately apparent, however, was the way the barrels began to glow red, the metal weakening under the heat and warping slightly easier under Trodai's attack but still not enough to cause a misfire yet.

Ahead, down the corridor, the Pureblood raced ahead with Rina, Kyssiara and Rowan on his tail. Through the Force, Kyssiara would feel the man's excitement and enjoyment - the thrill of the chase - even as he reached the next room. Room was an understatement, however, as the next section of the station was a series of walkways over a large pit. Turning back to face his pursuers, the Pureblood grinned and drew his lightwhip - the red light of the plasma whip sprung to life and he expertly began to spin and twist it, presenting a whirling dervish between himself and his pursuers. A spiralling, swirling, display of deadly energy that lashed as the walkway, cutting deep.

"Nenx Wo Vel Akcij! Nu Virt'ne Noret Kia Zudyti j'us Kad Sis belongs Is Zo Kapas!"

Then, like a literal bolt out of the blue, Rowan fired.

His blast was a longshot, it was barely aimed and the distance had bled some of the power from the stun bolt.

But it still shot right past Rina and Kyssiara - and right through one of the gaps in his whirlwind of lightwhip, catching the Pureblood entirely by surprise as it caught him in the saber hand. His right arm immediately began to stop responding and the lightwhip went flying out of his hand. He let out an undignified yelp of fright as the lightwhip didn't turn off automatically right away, dancing to get away from his own weapon and letting out a cry of sheer horror as the whip flew off the edge of the walkway - the tip catching his fedora on the way down, causing the hat to fall to pieces, both halves falling off his head as the dejected robber just stood there, one arm limp at his side.

There were no words in ancient Sith for this.

No one was more surprised than Rowan when his bolt actually hit the guy. He suddenly felt nothing but panic. Biting back the urge to ask if the man was okay, he shuffled a bit closer, lowering the blaster. Seeing the stunned look on the Pureblood’s face, Rowan decided to improvise on the spot, “Don’t move!” He said, his voice cracking just a bit, but he recovered quickly enough, “I am a doctor and I have with me a very potent strand of abscexia infilinflaciose!” Rowan mashed some scientific jargon together, “It is particularly painful and lethal for male erythropods such as yourself! Roll the crystal to us and back away!”

As if on cue, Rowan drew out a small vial of antiseptic and shook it threateningly, “You don’t want me to use this,” He said, using all his medical training to keep a neutral and unreadable face while dealing with difficult patients.

Trodai observed the droid even as he held the arm in place. He quickly sent a telepathic message to Caerllion.

"I'm a bit busy right now with the droid! I sent my apprentice after it instead!"

He could hear it as the metal screeched and fought against it trying to fight what he was doing. And then it happened. The droid begun to open fire, and so as the stream of red began to burst from the arm towards him, he was forced to either give up control of the Force he was currently using on the arm and dodge or take some hits and probably need the medics help after. He decided to go with the latter.

As the red bolts shot out, he relinquished control, hopefully the Jedi with him would compensate for it if she and been trained well enough. As for himself the Force was truly his ally as the Dark Side allowed him to dodge in time to avoid a painful reckoning. As each tube fired, he moved around, weaving and zig zagging, erratic in movement and becoming unpredictable. The droid would not be able to keep up, as his advanced reflexes were something it was not prepared for. The Force was not built into its equations. Finally as the last bolt left, he rolled around hoping to get behind it in time and remove it's arm entirely with his lightsaber as he attempted to carve a path through the droid from top to bottom straight through it's optics down to the ground diagonally. He wasn't about to let a droid get the better of him.

Actions - Dodge the droid. Per our discussion opted to dodge entirely and release Force control of the arm.
D20: 8 partial success

Rina had expected to be able to dodge past the slow reactions of the security droid, but hadn't expected to be outright ignored; obviously, the machine didn't consider her a threat.

Wouldn't be thinking that if he'd see what I can do with a hydrospanner! the Tintinna thought to herself as she ran after the stranger.

She had pursued the stranger - he looked very much like the Sith Master from the group, but how would his species be out here? - out onto a long catwalk, which was surrounded largely by the impression of a vast space. As the stranger turned and brandished what looked like a lightsaber hilt, however, Rina skidded to a halt, shielding herself as the lightwhip that emerged scored the decking and kicked up a curtain of sparks as it was twirled. The stranger said... something dramatic, Rina was certain she had never heard the language before.

And then, abruptly, there was the report of a blaster. Rina yelped as the whip dropped from the stranger's hand, slither close to her feet before dropping off the edge of the catwalk; the Tintinna looked over her shoulder to see Rowan (@Sreeya) aiming a blaster. Turning back to the stranger, Rina saw his hat fall in half, then flutter away.

Trying on a nervous smile, Rina held out her palms, taking a step toward the disarmed... adventurer? He looked like one, to be sure.

"I cannot under-stand you!" Rina said, speaking slowly and clearly. She figured the stranger had a negligible chance of speaking Basic, but it couldn't hurt to try. "But we," she gestured to herself, then back toward Rowan and the others, "need that crys-tal to get home!"

Well, if Alhazred wanted an invitation to perform Telepathy, he figured he just recieved the best one he could hope for at the time. What better proof could he conjure?

Closing his eyes, Alhazred began to let go and focus on the song of the force. Each living thing provided its own tune, bur all things were part of the Force's song. Meditsting and using the force was simply an act to sync with the forces full song. Telepathy was simply altering ones tune to match the tune of another's. All alhazred had to do was find the woman's. Out of all the tricks the force provided, Alhazred loved telepathy the most. It allowed him to speak to his young even though it had no mouth nor eyes.

Her song was interesting to say the least. At first, it was hard to detect and match, never having encountered her before and unsure if she was even a force user. But given her proximity, it was a matter of time of finding it.

She would first begin to feel his presence. Then, as Alhazred became more and more focused, she would begin to see the brief images he transmitted. Moments from his life among the jedi: Studying holocrons. Meditating in gardens. Being knighted by Scorpio. The fighting of the killik queen among other jedi. And finally, the moment he cut off his tendril to produce the spawn in the dx container on his back, underneath the jedi crest.

I am Jedi. Guardian of the light and seeker of truth. Alhazred then transmitted to her mind, the twos thoughts overcoming the language barrier. We come in peace.

Trodai’s answer made Caerllion roll his eyes. Why the Pureblood had decided to play with a droid? They had more important things to do. Like recovering the crystal. The Annfyn hoped that Kyssiara would be up to this quest. Meanwhile, he would remain at the control room. It would take a long time for him to reach where the others are. They would solve the problem before he ever reached them.

Caerllion smiled when the professor praised his slicing abilities, even if he was never a professional slicer. Rather than get smug because of it, the Annfyn simply nodded in acceptance of the praise. “Thank you! I learned these abilities some time ago.” besides, helping discover that code was also part of his goal to leave this place alive.

Kaala had nothing to do at the moment, considering she couldn't speak whatever language was being used. So she stayed where she was, observing the conversation.
