PERSONALITY:
Has a strong sense of work from years i a ship yard. Can't take criticism well but can take orders. He will work for long hours to finish something. If he stops working it can take him a while to start back on it without incentive. He is not the most caring person in the world but he does care for those he knows. He is uncomfortable in large groups of people he doesn't know and will not talk to anyone in the group. However if he is alone with one or two people he will engage in conversation. He does not fear other individuals but rather challenges them. He has a high sense of following rules and gets somewhat paranoid if he breaks a major rule. He loves to relax and often does it a little too often. He does not like being forced into things but rather politely asked to do them even if they are a command. He knows when to fight and when to just not pick a fight.... most of the time. He sees himself as a bit of a comedian and often does it a little too much.
HISTORY:
Growing up he never saw his mother because his mother died while giving him birth. His father raised him completely on his own but could never teach him any other skill sets other than piloting and working on ships. The reason for this is because his father worked in a shipyard all day salvaging and repairing ships. Seeing as how the planet they lived on was not known for their kindness he bought a rifle to protect himself. As a small child Deke would often times watch his father as he worked on ships. These ships ranged in size from small personnel ships to large freighters. Every other day or so his father would bring him onto a ship ,never the same one twice, and try to teach him how to read the equipment and work the controls. By the time he was 6 years old he was working on the ship yards with his father bringing him tools and other needed things and every so often helping with minor upgrades or repairs. By the time he was ten he had his own repair kit and helped work on the parts of the ships while his father worked on another part. He did this with the watchful eye of his father and never did anything too hard. He would often times sit in the ships cockpits and get acquainted with the controls, while never actually flying the ship just learning controls. By the time he was twelve his father had bought a small freighter and he had flown for the first time. At the age of 17 he father was working on the ship repairing some of the underbelly plating when one of the ships back gears failed falling on his legs crushing his legs to dust and moving his internal organs up and bursting many. After two hours of fighting to stay alive he finally died. Deke inherited everything his father owned including the business. He worked the business till he was 23 and then sold it to work for a shipping company. After retiring from that he doesn't know what to do. Just floating in space on his ship. should he join an army, or start a shipping company? his future is yet to be decided.
