Anyway, guys - I'll be recusing myself from this argument. I'm sorry if I was dickish about anything I said, I'm very blunt with my wording and I often portray a lot more hostility than I intend to, which is definitely my bad, and I apologize. Hopefully we can resolve this in the RP without incident. :)

Since PVP has officially started I thought I would purpose a posting order. @Soverin's character is leaving the thread, and @Phoenix and I have told him we don't plan to try and keep his character in the thread. Here is the order I would purpose with the remaining participants.

Can I make an appeal to have Incubus bumped to the top of the order? It'd be nice if he had a chance to react within the psuedo out-of-PVP post order to Hesh before an entire round of combat of happens.

And then I'm sure I'll be predictably killed/maimed/violated within week 1 just as you've been planning :p

PVP had not begun so the 48-hour posting rule and dedicated posting order did not apply. Now that PVP has begun, the 48-hour posting rules and posting order apply.

If you like, you can be the first of the Exiles to post. It usually goes smoother if all one sides post and then the other. However, where you post doesn't really matter since all the actions take place relatively at the same time for a round.

Edit: To avoid any confusion, I am referring to the Rules Section V, Subsection A, the quoted portion below.

"In the event of an ambush or skirmish occurring mid-way through a thread, the time limit begins at the onset of combat."

Hey man, so I’m a little confused.

I’m not shooting at your character. In fact, I would hope he knew @Phoenix and I were Jedi by their force signatures.

That being said there are a couple problems. I don’t know how he would see the first shot and then get there in time for the second. It’s not really possible.

You’re doing a lot in a very short span of time. Frankly, I think you’d only have time to deal with Elias. I’d ask that you please change that so the shots aren’t blocked.

Since we are on the same team, I wish this was over PM but such is life. Please let me know when the edits are made.

Edit: Due to the considerable confusion surrounding @Rrikak Rhozz post, I would request @Incubus and @blstrgmr hold off on posting.

I already said in my first post that i was confronting both Elias and Cato and was standing between the second floor balcony and them. I also said that he was using the force to sense for projectiles... didn't you read my post? he sensed the direction from which @Phoenix 's blast came from, so anticipated the second. Considering he was already stood literally right in front of Elias, it sure does look like you're aiming for Rahzz rather than Elias...

Yes, he knows you're a Jedi by your force signature, but @Phoenix never mentioned dropping their cloak and went straight to force tripping Hesh, so he hasn't seen her yet. Can you still use the force without dropping your cloak?

Huh? I think you're getting your participants confused? "Kal let his own cloak in the Force fall away even as his sights fell on the man with the white-gold saber." Is a quote from my post, and I didn't trip Hesh.

Anywho, I think what he's getting at with the rest is that given that Evalyn and Kal are on opposite sides of the balcony "Meanwhile, Kal looked onto the fight from the second floor as well, across from Evalyn where he could just make out the other Jedi" - post #16, it wouldn't be possible for Rahzz to block the view of both Exiles from participants at opposite ends of a balcony. So presumably while maybe you're blocking Kal's view of Hesh and Evalyn's view of Elias, Kal would have a view of Elias and Evalyn of Hesh (or something comparable). That's what I assumed in my post, but yeah there's no way for him to be blocking both Exiles from both Jedi's views. If @Valen Pelora meant something different, he can clarify

But that's beside the point. I was told I was doing too much in one go? The only action I took was deflecting one bolt, the rest being social and speculation. His dexterity is pretty high on his profile (8/10), if that helps justify taking a single action.

You can’t really “sense” projectiles in the Force. @Phoenix and I shoot at pretty much the exact same time. Meaning, when you see that first shot fired by Evalyn there is also the shot fired by Kal.

Numbered stats in the profile don’t matter for actions. While I agree he might block Kal’s view I don’t think he’d be able to block the bolt.

However, I’ll let @Phoenix decide what he wants to do there. As it stands now my actions effecting @blstrgmr are unchanged. It’s just what @Incubus has to deal with.

In the future, I would heavily suggest coordinating with your team in a not public format.

How do Jedi go about blocking onslaughts of projectiles at a time without using the force?

Seeing this stuff, which happens all the time, being told that I can't block a single blaster shot is a little hard to believe.

Besides, Elias hasn't been allowed to post in eight messages or two rounds and hasn't been allowed to defend himself, so someone has to! What else can i really reply to other than the bolts flying in my direction? do I decide what happens to his character or do I write the short post of 'what happens next?' without contributing?

If the information on your profile doesn't determine your skill, what's the point of having a profile? Just for history and personality?

Also, is this to say that moderators can jump into whatever open/ask thread and do whatever they want while members have to carefully describe to each and every moderator of that thread their exact intentions and every movement without impacting the thread in the slightest?

I'm sorry, but this feels biased heavily to the moderator's side.

My first thread on this site, my second post in and I'm being nagged to death by moderators who wish to orchestrate the happenings of this thread to their every whim because they want to rack up their kill count on new players. Any move made to defy a moderator in character must be questioned and harassed to the point that it isn't even fun anymore.

Assumptions or not, I'm a brand new player who's just stepped in and this is the impression I'm getting.
