Really? You think that in ten years we'll still have laptops and desktops? In ten years I see them becoming the same thing. There will be another evolution in design and the desktop will become portable and really no longer exist. The name laptop will probably also begin to fade out. They'll just be computers. No distinction.Laptop is easily a superior businessman tool. One must understand that the PC can be more powerful for the price, that is the appeal of it. The Laptop is what people want. It's compact and portable.
I predict that in the next 10 years the compact PC will overtake the Desktop. Of course I expect the Desktop to also become more portable, not in the way of a laptop, but becoming a comfortable size to move.
Also the amount of really shitty laptops was massive. It boggles my mind how people with the money to don't get a decent PC or laptop.

Yeah, sort of. I'm picturing something kind of like the Kindle. It'll probably have a good sized screen and a complete touch screen interface. Computer gaming will either move to only consoles or change and become separate from the regular computing scene, like the OnLive stuff.Like a cellphone computer or something.
You make a wonderful point. I don't know what will happen. But I think I wasn't clear. I think IN the next then years, not ten years from now. Of course that's all quite vague and ten years is a bit far of a prediction. Also I think the cell will phase out. We can call each other for cheaper if we have internet access.Like a cellphone computer or something.

Normally I would just be able to tell you what happens in the future, as I view the past, present, and future simultaneously, but something is keeping me from fully viewing the future. Tachyons, no doubt. Either the world has devolved into nuclear war, or Veidt is up to no good again. You make a wonderful point. I don't know what will happen. But I think I wasn't clear. Screw it. I don't know whats gonna happen. We're all ****ed anyway.
I think the opposite. Gaming consoles will disappear and become another part of the computer experience.
Works for me. Refresh the page.Oh... that's what a desktop is. Also Laptop image didn't work
