Quiet and Brooding, Devlen is an elusive character, avoiding confrontation with anything, due to his lack of experience with other lifeforms for over seventy years. When backed into a corner, however, Devlen fights like an animal, using anything to win, and escape.
History:
The story of Saj Del-Arshu begins towards the end of the Great War between the Sith and Jedi. Boli Delish, Saj's 'father', and a Jedi Master. Boli had been dispatched to Vjun to investigate rumours of a strong darkside aura eminating from the planet. The Jedi arrived only to find his former friend, Dexon Kyjar, investigating the same aura. Years earlier, Dexon had betrayed the Jedi and become a Sith Lord. Years of anger and frustration towards his former friend exploded in an enormous duel. Boli, still holding back in memory of his former friendship, was thrown down by Brenos, who raised his blade to kill him. It was then that Alora Del-Arshu, Boli's wife, threw herself in to defend her love. The woman was cut in half by the Sith Lord's lightsaber. What occured next has presumably been taken to both Dexon's and Boli's graves, though Saj knows otherwise. What is known is that both fled from the scene, both fearing the power Boli had unleashed. Boli fled to the Core Worlds, where he discovered a science laboratory dedicated to him. Growing there were several clones of him, most utter failures, bu one perfect replicant remained. Boli activated the small boy, then killed himself. Saj stood by the fallen Jedi and Mancer Lord, ripping the madman's memories from his skull, before fleeing. Only then did he realize who the man was, who he was. Only then did tears fall from the boys eyes. Never again. Saj fled to the Noesian systems, and dissappeared from all records for seventy five years. Upon his return huge upheavals were occuring across the galaxy. Still searching for his past, Saj discovered records of his father and a Dematri prince known as Devlen Darkbroode. Feeling more connected to Devlen than Boli, Saj changed his name to honour his half-uncle.
Months later, Devlen was intercepted by pirates on the Outer Rim, disabling his ship. A pair of Jedi managed to rescue him, but feeling his Force Sensitivity captured him and brought him before the Jedi Council. Deeming him to dangerous to be left untrained, the Jedi held him in the temple on Coruscant. But the young Noesian found himself rebelling against an Order that restrained him to the Temple grounds but refused to regard even his existance. Frustrated with his lack of progress, the Council sent him to Dantooine in an attempt to cure his wanderlust...Just in time for a Dark Jedi attack
