[Bad Wolf]

A madman that's what he had to be, he was a wanted criminal and what he was about to do could possibly be the stupidest thing in his entire life.

Jack had once again donned the Imperial Officers uniform, an eye path placed over his left eye, standard officers hat, long officers coat, gloves to cover his hands. Jack looked every bit the part of an Imperial officer, and it was important for what he was doing, approaching the young officer Jack looked imposing.

He had recently seen the news footage a new Empress, Andraste they had said her name was, well this could prove useful, Handing the Sealed container to the young officer he looked at him through the eye not covered with the eye patch.
"Deliver this to the Empress, it's urgent, this is eyes only understand." The younger officer took the container and glanced at the man handing it to him, he nodded put the container in a satchel and turned on his heel saluting Jack before going.

The young officer, glorified delivery boy at this point, was headed for Bastion he did know what was inside the container but it was for the Empress, and it had been given to him by a one eyed colonel, probably imperial intelligence from the looks of him, the trip to Bastion wouldn't take long.

Jack meantime was back aboard his ship The Highwayman and leaving the small little border world where he'd found the officer, obviously Jack even with his best disguise didn't dare make a move to go to Bastion in person so he relegated to staying near fringe worlds and getting people to do his dirty work for him.

When the container reached Bastion, it was thoroughly searched, investigated and scanned till it was abundantly clear that it was nothing more than a datacube. After that, it was sent directly to Andraste, who played the contents of the tape. The revelation pertained directly to an investigation she had been leading since a meeting that comprised of Exodeus, herself and the Chiss Imperator. This evidence was directly contradictory to what had been presented at the meeting.

Only one question remained. Which tape was valid? Andraste viewed the tapes over and over, but it was difficult to tell which one was genuine. Moreover, who had sent her this supposedly original copy and how did this person know about the existence of such a video to begin with? Andraste thought more about this, looking at the information that would allow her to conduct a holo meeting with him. Under normal circumstances, she had rejected most requests to meet her. However, this one had piqued her curiosity far too much to ignore.

There would be an incoming call upon the comm line Jack had provided Andraste with. It was connected directly to a Holo-Projector aboard his ship. When he answered the call, there would be a bit of static before her a Holo projection of her displayed in 3D. She said nothing for a moment, taking the time to survey exactly the type of person she was dealing with.

"I am most curious about the tape you have sent me. Would you kindly tell me your purpose for sending it to me instead of local authorities?"

Jack was seated on his command chair aboard his ship The Highwayman he was wearing his Stetson and Duster, so the Holo image that he presented to Andraste was not exactly clear as it didn't display much of his face never the less he smiled sitting back in his seat with a bottle of Fizzy Cola.

"Of course, had I just sent it to local authorities nothing would have been done with it, after all a Sith and a squad of troopers killing Imperial citizens happens all the time right?" Jack was a clever bastard but even he was playing a dangerous game, signaling his communications officer, the ensign promptly went to work bouncing his signal off of several satellites, even if she did want to track him down, she'd have a hard time of it and he'd be long gone before any Imperial ships showed up.

"I felt the new Empress was the proper authority for bringing this information to, and truthfully the Empress might be the only that can get me what I want, your emperor has a reputation you see, one for being unforgiving." Jack sat back he'd let the Empress absorb that little bit of information, he wanted something why else would he have gone to the lengths he had.

Andraste couldn't help but smile.

"My Emperor has made quite a name for himself, yes. However, you will find I am just as unforgiving if I find my time wasted."

She did not mind that she could not gaze upon him, nor did she deploy anyone to seek him out.

"However, you must understand the risks of contacting me without reason, so I will humor you. Tell me how you came about this footage. The timing of this is...curious, I must admit. This tape interests me quite a bit. I would not have met with you otherwise."

"You can rest assured you haven't been contacted in vain, as for how I got the footage, that's simple, I taped it using the security systems present on Citadel Station, when one Moff Kir Xinn was in power." jack had just played one of the few aces he had in his hand, revealing that he was present at Citadel station, next he would play his second ace.
"As for why I'm contacting you, again your Emperor has a reputation, so I'll start off small, I handed a Mandalorian a certain data cube that displayed footage, footage of a sith named ruby and a squad of troopers massacring civilians Chiss civilians, I could only imagine what the man wanted the footage for, but he held me at gun point to get said footage." Ace 2 played, hopefully successfully, Jack just hoped the last cards in his hand didn't turn out to be 8's

It was difficult to mask the effect of his next words. Andraste's eyebrows raised, his comment hitting a mark. He knew about the Chiss tape, which meant the tape he had sent related to it directly. However, she wasn't prepared to reveal everything to him just yet.

"That is curious, indeed. May I ask why that is relevant to the massacre of Imperials citizens?"

Andraste knew he was the link. He possibly even knew the name of the Mandalorian that had caused them all this trouble. She herself knew the Sith attackers were the same in both videos, and he had now provided her with the name of the Sith. She would call forth this 'Ruby' and interrogate her.

"Well, not quite sure how to address you should it be Empress, your highness? at any rate it has everything to do with Imperial citizens, you know it's a remarkable thing the technology one can employ to alter video footage, and Chiss and Humans are so similar all it takes is altering the pigmentation and eye color of a human and Bam you have Chiss." Jack took a drink from the Fizzy Cola in his hand momentarily revealing the obvious Imperial Wrist Computer strapped to his left arm.
"Now you're probably wondering why would I do something like this, well it's simple a few reasons actually first and foremost I revealed a weakness in your organization, second there was money involved, not a great motivation but it allowed me to get a little bit of revenge in the process, third and final reason why I am now doing what I am doing is simple, I don't like being threatened."

 

[Sreeya]

Andraste had to smile.

"I must admit, you are quite clever...Jack."

She chuckled softly.

"Do not fret. I do not intend to send anyone after you. Not that you've got my undivided attention now."

Andraste pondered over his words for a long moment.

"I must ask, however, were you threatened into editing the original footage? Now that you bring in the involvement of a Mandalorian...I do wonder.."

Jack pondered for a minute before replying.
"In a manner yes, When someone puts a gun to your head and tells you that he needs the data you were attempting to sell, altered than I'd take it as a threat, I don't care that he is Mandalorian or not, I don't respond kindly to such actions." Jack grinned apparently he was better known than he originally thought, taking another sip from his Fizzy Cola he thought before speaking again.
"See the man that acquired the data from me was a Mandalorian, it was a Jedi or perhaps Imperial Knight that got e the original job, it was an Imperial Moff that got me on to Citadel station and one of your own Sith Acolytes that led the slaughter on Telos IV."

 

[Sreeya]

Andraste thought carefully.

"It does appear we have quite a few..problematic figures within the Imperium. I also find it amusing that you were contacted by a Jedi. It appears they know the game almost as well as we do."

She had to laugh. This rabbit hole kept going deeper and deeper.

"For now, however, let us set aside the citadel and the Jedi. I assure you, Jedi involvement will be addressed. And mind you, I'm sure the Galactic Alliance citizens would love to hear about the underhanded activities of their righteous saviors."

Back on Bastion, Andraste had cancelled all her meetings for the afternoon. This conversation had taken the most interesting turn.

"I want to focus on this Mandalorian. It is curious you knew about the involvement of this Sith. I have sent to have her brought to me as we speak. Would you happen to know more about this Mandalorian that had threatened you to alter this? It would be terrible to let him roam free unpunished...after what he had done to you.."

Andraste smiled at him.

"I am not my Emperor or the local authority....I can have things done."

"The Mandalorian yes, according to my own network of spies the man's name is Corden vencu, while I would take great pleasure in putting the bullet in his head, I feel it would better serve the Empire to meet out their own punishments." Jack took another sip from his Fizzy Cola the bottle was almost empty at this point.
"I'm sure you are aware of my current standing within the Empire, quite a good likeness I might say." Jack held up the wanted poster he had found on Tatooine, 500,000 credits was quite a large sum of money. "Is what I did truly worth this much money, I'm quite flattered to be honest, but it seems a bit excessive, at any rate you're not interested in my strife, you want to know about your enemies don't you."

 

[Sreeya]

Andraste grinned.

"I know where you're going with this."

She was silent for a moment, watching for his reaction.

"I'm sure we can have something be arranged. More importantly..how would you feel about a more..steady means of income? I can't imagine a man of your reputation has been able to earn a decent living lately. I am a caring Empress, after all..."

 

[Bad Wolf]

"I do say I am quite intrigued, after all the "Rare and hard to find items transportation" gig doesn't pay like it used to, A steady source of income would be welcome."Jack put the extra emphasis on his preferred term for smuggling, grinning. "I'm certain there are some that would like to have a man of my reputation working for them, but I gotta say most of those individuals could easily be swayed to work for the empire indirectly of course." jack smiled he hoped that Empress Andraste would get the hint he was getting at.

 

[Sreeya]

"And said individuals usually have complexities surrounding them so specific arrangements need to be made."

Andraste grinned at the words. She was seen looking down, typing something into the comm. After a moment, there was a beep, and he would have a textual set of instructions to follow.

"I do believe you are clever enough to figure out how this will work out in your favor. And I do hope you take up on this offer. I look forward to hearing from you again."

With a smile, she disconnected from the Holoprojector, her image disappearing as if it were never there.

Jack smiled reading over the instructions, indeed he did know how this would turn out.
"Set course for Nar Shadda, we're going back to the office."
The Highwaymanturned around and headed back to Nar Shadda, he had a meeting to keep, and he intended to make said appointment, a shirt while after the jump to light speed the ship came back into real space and started docking procedures with the Orbital platform
