The cold brisk wind of the Arkania's mountains wiped around Arotrigas' neck, the fur collar of the long cloak he wore did little to keep the chill from his bones. As he stood upon the shores of a nearby river he let out a small laugh at the reflection of himself in the water. A wide brimmed ten gallon hat, thick purple glasses and a fake moustache and nose had been his disguise to get through the main spaceport of Adascopolis. The planet was unfortunately within FWA Space a land now hostile to the Sith Order, they could not land in there own private ships so public transport was the only way onto Arkania.

He could see one of the ships taking off long in the distance though there was no sound for the ship. If he was honest there was not a single sound of civilisation around him, it was beautiful just the trickle of the river, the wind through the trees, birds and beasts in the distance. Artorigas was on this planet for a personal reason, not tied to either the Sith Order of the House of Wessex a change of pace for the Sith Noble. He had put out the call encase any others would be interested in his little gander across the cold world.

What is loyalty? Simply put, it’s a bond established between two people where they would do anything for the other, no matter the risks. It was a willingness to shed any doubts, any concerns of failure or potential harm to oneself in favor of ensuring that the one who had their absolute devotion accomplished what it was they had set out to do. It was being entirely true to a person or a cause with no outside influence impacting their allegiance. Loyalty? Loyalty is love.

And Bir Vuul has loyalty in spades.

When Artorigas put out the call in search of allies for his personal quest, Bir jumped to action. He would throw away the bones of his latest victim, wipe the juices of his meal from his lips, encase his jaw within his rebreather and immediately depart his Dorin Gas Chamber with such urgency that one would believe his cloak had been ignited in unseen flames. The mad Sith would donn his tattered cloak, clip his lightsaber to his belt and he would be gone before anyone even had an opportunity to question him on what had stoked him to such haste. Even if they had, he would not have given them the time for a response. Artorigas needed aide and Bir would be there to give it. For him, loyalty was everything. His friends were everything. He would not, could not let them down.

The message was clear; to meet on Arkania at the bases of the mountains, far from any form of civilization and to be discreet. Easy enough. Departing Korriban, Bir would first catch a shuttle to a world he had visited once before. Taris would be the planet that provided him with his disguise before venturing back out into neutral space and then from there, heading deep into FWA territory to meet with his dearest friend in need.

Wessex would stand above the river bed, alone and in absolute serenity as Bir laid in wait some distance away behind the trunk of a large tree. Once spotting his old compadre, his smile would gleam as he stepped out into view.

Bir was of stark contrast with his surroundings. Draped in a bright white shawl, dress and hood, a matching veil covering his rebreather, the Kel Dor stood out against the dark blue of the flowing river as he began to rush towards Wessex in the knee deep water. Both hands would grab the front of his disguise, lifting it from the river as best he could as both legs would pump high to carry him forward, water splashing madly with each step.

”I am here, friend! I have come! Bir is here!” he would holler, no doubt breaking Wessex from his trance but once he was only a handful of meters away, his bare foot would slip on the moss at the bottom of the river and send the Kel Dor tumbling face first into the water. Not even his fall could break Bir’s exuberance at coming to Wessex’ side during his moment of need. No, pushing himself upward Artorigas would see the beaming grin plastered across Bir’s face, the veil coming undone from his head first descent. ”I have come! I have come!” he would elate. ”What is it that must be done?!”

The blessing of being someone of no importance meant she could travel stealthily and under the radar with minimal need for disguises. Add some scrappy armor and drop the Coreworlder accent and no one batted an eye. But when Artorigas called out for help, naturally Deva was keen to answer.

She hadn't expected them to have such... charming company.

Pulling in on a borrowed speeder, the Marauder was adorned in a riding suit, half-mask helmet and a mantle, wrapped around her shoulders. She would approach from further up the riverbank, having taken the long way to avoid anyone tailing her before banking the speeder from view. Approaching on foot would be wise; harder to track on light feet.

Public transport was a pain, but it was doable.

As she approached, violet eyes stared down the less-subtle Bir as he splashed to their companion, calling out. But watching him face-plant made approaching the cold planet worth it. Smothering a smile beneath the mask, she tugged once on her gloves, violet eyes sweeping over Artorigas as she approached.

"Indeed, I'm intrigued as well," came her raspy reply, one dark brow perked. There were legends of beasts here, after all, she wouldn't mind a bit of a snowy trek. Especially if it meant being away from the crowded spaceport.

Security had been excessively tight around the planet but the Deucalian had been able to get on the Arkania with his relatively simple attire. Like the infamous world of Deucalia, Arkania was covered in an eternal winter and also had a history of mining. But it was the dangerous creatures here that peaked the teenager's interests. The young raider was wondering if he was going to see a leathery wings and scaled hide today.

As a Deucalian raider wearing armor, he seemed like a barbarous mercenary willing to take an excessive risk for reward. But on the other hand Jaecar's whole life, his culture was based around that perspective.

A voice shook him from his thoughts as it echoed across the mountain faces from an unknown origin. The ignorant youth did not know the hutt ball champion for who he was even if he was within sight. Finding his way to a snowy embankment, Jaecar sought cover and to hide from view since he was not alone.

Pulling his custom energy bow from his back he measured his breathing. His breath disappearing a moment after it left his body. Maybe it would be best to just let some other hikers or hunters pass. If the dragons were dangerous, then maybe Jaecar could use whoever it was go ahead or draw attention.

The young Deucalian, was a fool for thinking he was equipped to take on high flying drake. But here he was daring to conquer his own destiny. That just so happened to also including hiding in the snow from strangers. An inferior, subconciously self taught concealing technique made it a little harder for some people to notice him though he relied primarily on more pragmatic means of going unoticed, like avoiding direct line of sight and covering his tracks.

Okay sneaking across into the FWA was way too easy. Just had to pick some civilian outfit, not act suspicious and boom. His freakish look, that some probably thought was the result of a freak accident after drinking himself into a stupor, probably helped a bit as well. Went right in without any issues. The Marauder expected at least something to happen like light questions. But not even that happened. Which is just plain old boring.Myec was so bored out of his mind for some reason that he had decided to answer Wessex's call and come to help. The change of scenery, despite the frigid environment, is a nice change. Not to mention he needed the break in routine he followed daily.

With his hands shoved in his coat pockets, Myec stood at the back of the small group.just behind Deva as he too watched Bir attempt to snatch Wessex in a friendly embrace only to faceplant right into the river. Myec mentally admitted that he could watch that all over again if he could. He is curiousbas to what they are here for as well. Of all the famous beasts that roam here it can be anything that they have been asked to assist with.

However if it was to help look for a lightsaber Wessex had lost. Well Myec may just try to sneak off to see where else in the FWA he could get to rather than help look for something that would be like looking for something in a haystack. More like a frozen haystack to be exact.

Artorigas had expected a mixture to attend, though one quite so wide he was surprised at. Of course the first to arrive was the annoying Kel Dor that was Bir Vuul, Artorigas honestly felt that wherever he went either Bir or Xeno seemed to appear. Was he cursed to have these two always be there for the rest of his life within the Sith. He watched as the crazed creature bounded through the low river in what appeared to be some kind of white dress, Artorigas raised his hand to his head shaking the later slightly at the sight. When the creature slipped plummeting himself into the cold water he could only smile, though when he rose so quickly after Artorigas could only send out a small pull of The Force sending the Kel Dor tumbling again. "A pleasure as always Bir." He called to the soaked Alien.

The voice of another, turned the Sith Noble's head. "Though the pleasure is much greater to meet you, Mi'Lady." He said with a large smile giving the women a small bow. The third of the Sith to attend appeared behind the women, he seemed reserved compared to his other companions, though he was sure the hunt that was to come would change his mood. "We hunt Dragon eggs today my friends." Artorigas said turning to face all three one by one.

Pointing up at the mountains behind him he continued. "Deep in those mountains lies the lair of the Arkanian Dragon and well I think one would make a rather compatible companion for myself." His house Motto referenced fire and their symbol was that of a red dragon so it all made sense. "Of course if there is more than one egg I am more than happy for you to take one as well. If we are all ready shall we?"

Thoroughly soaked after not submerging himself once but twice, Bir would still claw himself to the riverbank in an excited rush, peeling off parts of his drenched disguise as he did. His tattered trousers, also dripping from the river, had been covered underneath but not much else would be worn by the Kel Dor save for the lightsaber hanging from his hip. Listening to Artorgias as he explained what brought them all here, Bir began to vibrate with exhilaration.

”A dragon?!” Bir relayed back to Wessex, clapping his hands together. ”If you want to slay a dragon, why are we here and not at one of the local cantinas?” The Kel Dor’s expression twisted into a massive sarcastic grin beneath his rebreather and goggles, knowing fully well that was not the companionship his dear friend had intended… Or... ? No, no, that couldn’t be it… But maybe?

Bir looked to the mountain that was indicated, he would see that the loftiest peaks were concealed behind storm clouds. While they had not impacted the weather that they currently experienced, it was highly likely that the higher they ascended that the storm would impact them greatly. Even so, the weather was the least of their concerns. The Mad Marauder couldn’t wait for this adventure to begin, tangling with a dragon and her brood would most certainly be a highlight of his life.

Jaecar sat and waited patiently watching the kel dor struggling. Controlling his breathing and subconsciously minimizing his presence in the Force, the young hunter watched and listened. They spoke in galactic standard basic. In the beautiful wilderness there was nothing to keep him from hearing their words at a distance. But the young Deucalian's hidden status would falter as he heard the exciting subject of dragon eggs.

He watched like an additional member of the party. The cold was his element so Jaecar was not bothered by waiting and weathering the dangerous terrain further. The group before him seemed to be an odd bunch unlike he had ever seen before. But the teenager knew that if they were here and talking about the mountain dwelling wyrm he had heard about then they were also just as dangerous as he was.

Then in Jaecar's mind it clicked. It would be a true test to hunt for dangerous rare game against other good hunters. Looking towards the mountains that one of the strangers, Jaecar gazed at the white capped formations but soon began to move. The leader by the looks of body language, said something about a limited number of eggs. That was all well and good but either way, Jaecar would be there first and decide for himself if maybe he should lay a trap.

Moving from his hiding place, the Deucalian backed away and over the crest of a hill to be out of direct line of sight. One there, he made a b-line for the mountain range. Clouds of his exhaled breath coming through his armor filter momentarily before being lost in the cool Arkanian air. A smile on his freckled face persisted. "I'm going to get a dragon today. Hehe"

She grinned openly at Artorigas' words, a hand resting on her hip. "Mi'lady? Talk this smooth, and I might ask for drinks afterward, sir." At the mention of eggs, violet eyes glinted brightly in interest, and she slowly straightened, a low hum slipping through her lips. "I do like the idea of a new pet."

Still... it was chilly now, it was only going to be more chilly the further they went up. There might have been some good in waiting, but Deva was not a patient person.
"No time like the present," she replied, gaze flicking up towards the ranges. Still... there was a feeling of eyes prickling on the back of her neck, and her gaze searched the ridges around them.

If they weren't alone, perhaps their quarry would be more than a dragon and her brood.

Myec patiently waited for the reason why they were called here to be said. When spoken the young man felt his interest perk up. So they are here to help look for dragon eggs? Well this certainly caught his attention as he looked to the mountains as they were gestured to. Well the challenging environment grabbed at him as well.

A challenging hunt in a challenging environment that may end with getting a dragon? Well even if he doesn't end with one Myec certainly welcomed the challenge. With how cold it is down here he could hardly imagine how could it is further up the mountains and the challenges that will bring with it.

What he will say will possibly to the other three Sith express his eagerness to get going. He couldn't wait to experience the challenges the mountains and weather will have them face, "I am ready to get going when you lot are ready." He mentioned. Noting that the woman looked around at the ridges that are around them. Naturally this caused him to take a look around as well. If there is someone or something along the ridges two sets of eyes searching is better than one.

Artorigas gave each of them a look over, it seemed as if all were ready. Though he was not sure if he could really ever be sure if Bir was actually ready or just in a perpetual state of a hyperactive rabbit on spice. "These creatures are not to be simply trifled with, a single one can kill all of us if caught unaware. If I have my way we will not have to deal with one of these at all. We will get into the nest take the eggs and get out without being seen." It was a flimsy hope but one he needed to stick with for him to have any chance of survival.

If it came to it however Artorigas was not above leaving the others to fight the dragon whilst he made off with the goods. Might finally be a way to get rid of the mad Kel Dor. With that said Artorigas turned away from the small clearing by the river and began making his way towards the mountain. He followed a game trail which cut through the thick undergrowth of the low mountain trees. It was hard work and he was puffing within a short while, the inclined trail and thick undergrowth contributing to the perspiration on his forehead. Turning back to those closest to him he asked. "Any of you have any control over fire?"

Artorigas’ warning was prudent, yet unnecessary. From the Krayt of Tatooine’s dunes to the Menagerie dragons of ancient times, almost every sub-species of the like were both rare and exceedingly dangerous. If they were to succeed in Wessex’ goal, they would need to work together or face their demise in the giant maw of the mother beast, torn to shreds by her rows of razor sharp teeth. Despite the threats, it seemed that every participant who had answered his call were all eager for the challenge ahead so they would press on.

Climbing the mountain was arduous but Bir bounded along with energy unmatched, scaling trees and rock outcroppings alike, often finding himself ahead of the collection of Sith and needling to curb his excitement and his advances to allow them to catch up. It wasn’t that he was more physically fit than the others, though perhaps that was the case, but that his damaged and broken mind was incapable of acknowledging his exhaustion in this moment. He would undoubtedly need a moment of reprieve before the extraction began but for now, he was simply too ecstatic to be contained.

Rocking back and forth in a tree above the path the others ascended on, Bir heard Artorigas’ query and slipped from the branch he was perched upon, his bare feet sinking into the ankle deep snow in front of their leader-apparent. Much had changed for Bir over the years but his training was constant, albeit splintered from his methods of a past life. He had began learning skills often utilized by the Sith after his indoctrination into the dark Order, pyrokinesis not withheld though certainly the field that he had neglected the most.

”Indeed, indeed! Perhaps a display is in order!” Bir declared, arms outstretched with pride. Turning to face the path ahead, deaf to any who may voice their concerns, Bir located a fallen and dry limb of a tree ahead and reached his left hand forward before calling it to him with the Force. As tree bark met flesh, Bir closed his eyes and began to concentrate, his energies transferring into the limb in hand, raising its temperature rapidly until finally, sparks began to jump forth from his hand and igniting the branch.

Fire would take hold as Bir switched hands to a grip away from the flames, beaming pride on display as he turned to face everyone ahead. Ah, but he was not done. With the burning branch in his prosthetic, his left would call the flames from their source of fuel, balling into an orb within his palm. He would plant the burning branch into a snow bank, extinguishing any remaining embers but the ball of fire would continue to grow with his manipulations before splitting into two serpents, coiling around his body in a rapid spin. They would dance around him for a moment, both warming and drying his trousers and skin before a wave of his hand would extinguish them as though they had never existed.

”I’ve been practicing, certainly I have! Practicing in hopes of one day surpas-” Bir’s prideful statement was cut short as a burning sensation began to emanate from the seat of his pants, an expression of both shock and pain etching across his face. Indeed, he had much practice to do as even though the serpents of fire were diminished, he had not noticed that they first licked his backside. The Kel Dor promptly dropped to the snowbank, extinguishing the flames before they could eat through the fabric entirely.

She knew she ought to at least help Bir put out his own flames, it was the kinder thing to do. As he loudly announced a demonstration, she sighed, her voice coming through in half-hearted protest.

"No... please, stop..."

Still, a coughed laugh was choked off, instead glancing back to Artorigas.

"I can summon some. Nothing like your skill, however."

With a flick of her thumb, a small flame ignited, then began to grow. A subtle, growing flame that grew wider and brighter with each passing moment, until it hovered, almost perfectly, as a ring of fire over her hand before waving it off with a subtle gesture.
"Not the best," she glanced to the man, and then Bir with an unseen twitch of her lips.

The Deucalian teenager had made decent headway. The smell of something burnt akin to a campfire or scorched metal and stone reached his senses. His eyes dialated without him knowing as he strained to find the slightest hint of a drake. The great wyrms of legend were dangerous beings and if he were to live to tell about seeing one, he needed to be very careful.

Slowing his breathing, measuring his steps, avoid detection at all costs. The movement of the hunter slowed down to make less noise. His trail was became almost non-existant and even in the Force, Jaecar became hard to detect.

Hurling itself across his field of vision. Jaecar fell nearly fell on his butt as an Arkanian dragon shot into the sky with a mighty flap of its wings. A gale blew past Jaecar who held up an arm to ward off the backdraft. Into the icy air the creature flew and letting out a mighty rawr. The Deucalian's heart was pounding but his instincts told him to remain hidden and not run.

Turning his head to look at where the dragon had come from, Jaecar continued closer until he saw the mouth of the cave the winged reptile had come from. The smell he had picked up before was stronger here. Taking a gulp of his saliva and fear, and a breath the deucalian ventured inside. He would only be alone for a few moments depending on what he found inside.

There was heat that wafted out from the cave and past the peacemeal pelt armor. The furs around Jaecar's shoulders rippled against the wind. Taking a deep breath and continuing to keep his presence hidden, he pulled on the years of life or death training he had gained from his homeworld of Nalvan. There they had large beasts too though nothing quite on the level of a true winged wyrm.

Darkness surrounded the young deucalian. His own eyes would be inferior to that of a dragon's. But even if the reptilian beast that had left was only one of two, the young hunter was careful to step silently. The subconcious efforts of the Deucalian to erase his presence from existance continued.

Stopping in the shadows, the faint bit of light coming from the cave entrance reflected off of the smooth black walls. Melted snow and ice caused some parts to be continually wet while where he stood now felt like a flash dried volcanic rock. If not for his helmet's readout telling him it was not toxic, Jaecar would have wondered if it could have also been dangerous just to breath.

A few feet away, amid smoothed, partially melted rocks was a rocky nest. Cinders rose as Jaecar came closer. Reaching out, the Deucalian leaned on one of the rocks but was met by sizzling. Immedialty jumping off and looking at the egg again, he reached out and gingerly touced it. Unlike the rock around it, the egg was not hot to the touch but instead just above that of a normal human body. Without further delay, Jaecar got to work melting the bottom few millimeters of his shoes to lift and take the egg rom its nest. With his quarry in hand, the Deucalian left the cave.

Now Jaecar just needed to find a way to smuggle the dragon egg off world. Maybe I'll stay here for awhile. It's not that different from home anyways. A big grin spread across the Deucalian's face. I can't wait to tell the tribe. Mom and dad will be proud.
