Ordinarily, lending aid to a planet or two wouldn’t be so taxing on resources. However, with the recent attacks from the Sith and other forces that created a multitude of refugees with no home to return to. It was a nightmare to say the least, and unfortunately Amelia had to make the hard choices to control how many people came to land on Eshan. It was already tiresome enough to manage the resources of food let alone having the space for them. So the last thing the Senator wanted to do was to face the issue of overpopulation on her own planet.

The clans alone were already on edge from the sudden plethora of off-worlders landing in the cities, and while Amelia had done her best to appease the clans. The Echani knew that it was only a matter of time before the tensed air broke into conflict. Amelia could only hope that this conflict would be verbal rather than physical as she had no doubt that the Echani would practically overwhelm anyone foolish enough to take up arms against them.

The woman couldn’t help but sigh as she looked over the crowded streets as the people of both Echani and off-worlder alike attempted to make amends with what they had. Her eyes expressed the tiresome endeavor as worry etched her features. Garbed in a plain black silk robe as the arm wraps along her pale skin were as compressive and comfortable as it could be. From a visual standpoint, this was no different than a war breaking out, but from the Force? Well… a shiver ran down her spine as a chill threatened to soak into her bones despite the warm sun that sheds light onto her form through the balcony. A shiver of untold suffering filled her body and mind as she could only foresee blood, fire, and death.

The metal railing groaned as her grip tightened around the smooth bar. It was a premonition of her people, and of the countless worlds that might befall to the encroaching darkness that continued to snuff one world after another. It had everyone on edge, and the clans looked to Amelia for an answer to their problems. However, there was just too little information and not enough manpower to go around.

With a shake of her head, Amelia grabbed a dark blue coat and put it on as she began to stroll out of the office. She needed to find space to clear her head, a moment of peace, and the only place she could think of was no garden, and no monastery. Instead, she sought after her personal chambers. A void of sound except for her own breath and heartbeats. It was there that Amelia opted to merely calm her mind as she entered a meditative stance. Surrounding herself to the Force as she welcomed the relief of stress from her shoulders.

After half an hour had passed, Amelia felt something akin to a hot knife jabbing into her skull as something, or someone was coming. Coming to Eshan, but for the good or for the bad remained to be seen. Either way, the very presence disrupted her mindset as Amelia was brought back to reality. Was the Sith going to attack this planet as well? It was her immediate thought, and naturally it brought concern and worry of an imminent threat. Yet unlike before, Amelia sensed no hatred, not of the blazing kind rather, but that meant little. It was only after Amelia reached for her ritual brand that she heard a voice hailing from her encrypted commlink. With a flick of her wrist, the Senator produced the comlink from the folds of her coat and answered the call.

”This is Senator Bell, speak.” She said, her voice calm yet strong like a brewing storm.

”A ship just dropped out of hyperspace, but they’re not answering their comms. Should we intercept?” The voice from the other side was the Head of Security that’s been monitoring who comes and goes in Eshan. The news was a bit odd for Amelia’s tastes as she turned on her heel to face the back wall.

”Only one ship?” Amelia questioned to confirm. Why only one ship? Was it for visitation? But then why ignore the calls? These were questions that didn’t have answers.

”Yes, My Lady. They appear to be heading towards Sector 17.” Sector 17 was a region that until recently went unclaimed for about over a decade. It was redeveloped into a refugee camp to support the recent surge of off-worlders seeking a home.

”Send the First Blade and Blackwatch to Sector 17, but inform them to only observe and not to engage unless the refugees are being attacked.” Amelia ordered as she strolled out of her chambers and began to make her way out of the Senator’s Office. Where she’ll get on her speeder bike.

”Of course, My Lady.” The Head of Security affirmed the order before Amelia turned on the repulsor engines and began to speed her way over to the refugee camp.

Param stepped off of the ship her master had given her, stretching her arms above her head with a yawn. Flying was great and all, hyperspace was about the most beautiful thing she'd ever seen, but man was it tiring. She hadn't woken up until she felt the jolt of landing. Her back ached a little. There wasn't anywhere she felt comfortable yet in the ship.

There wasn't anyone to greet her. That was fine. Param's entire village had been decimated when she was only five. She was eighteen now, training in the Force, making her own way. There wasn't anyone around to remember her, and no one she would remember either.

She sauntered toward the hangar gate. Her black crop hoodie and tight-fitting black leather pants were a severe contrast in the bright sun. The black split skirt billowed around her legs as she walked. A single lightsaber hung from her belt, right next to a vibro-knife. The only thing that wasn't out of place about her was her long silver hair, and bright silver eyes. It had been a long time since she'd been to Eshan. Her hope that she was ready was at the fore front of her mind.

The large hangar doors didn't slide open when she approached. Param stood, staring at the doors for a moment. When they didn't open after a minute she waved her hands. Maybe the sensor was off? Maybe they just weren't letting her in. "Um," she started. "Hello?"

It was only by the order of the Senator that the gates didn’t open for the woman who approached. Yet peering through the surveillance was a small troop of trained Echani that watched the fellow yet unfamiliar dark clad Echani with keen eyes. Whispers of reports between them as they moved in unison. None had moved against the new off-worlder, and yet none had moved to converse. Instead there was an ominous silence with the gates looming over Param.

The howls of a repulsor engine could be faintly heard from a distance before a dark dot could be seen at the horizon. As the seconds ticked and the minutes had passed, the figure became more apparent as they drew closer. Eventually, the figure is revealed to be humanoid with a head of platinum blonde hair whipping in the wind.

”My Lady, the intruder appears to be one of us. What are your orders?” The leader of First Blade spoke through the communications in Amelia’s earpiece. It was odd to think that someone of their origin would carry such a dark aura around them, but then again before Amelia rose to power there was more than one occasion that the Sith made their presence known in these lands.

”Maintain your positions. They may not be alone in this sector.” That was the last thing Amelia wanted. If someone with the power of the Dark Side came here of all places, then it was possible that whoever they served might be closer than their scanners could detect. Given how the Sith has been razing down planets these days, Amelia could only hope to prevent her homeworld from suffering the same fate.

Eventually the Senator pulled up a short distance away from the newcomer as the speeder bike slowed to a stop. The double bladed weapon remained fastened in its holster on the side of said bike as Amelia looked over the fellow Echani. It was a face that Amelia wasn’t familiar with, and frankly Amelia was familiar with a lot of Echani. She had to fight every clan on the planet to win their favor in order to be their Senator, so naturally Amelia would have recognized Param if she was part of those clans.

”I’d say welcome home, but I’m afraid I don’t know you.” She admitted before she turned the bike off and dismounted from the vehicle. There was a level of grace and fluidity in her movements as Amelia began to approach Param. Maintaining the typical small smile that compliments her sharp features.

”My name is Amelia von Bell, of Clan Bell and Senator of Eshan. Who might you be?”

Param waited quite a while for anything to happen. She wasn't inept; she knew she was being contained. That was okay. She had no intention of causing a scene or a fight. This was her original home, though it was home no longer. There was bound to be some form of resisitence to her arriving. It wasn't exactly a mystery that she was a Sith in this instance; Param didn't think she'd need to hide it.

She heard the speeder long before she saw it. It was a speck when she first heard it, but it quickly grew. When it landed, Param turned with a bright smile. An echani woman came off the bike, with all the grace and elegance one would expect of an echani. Param was in awe of her. She was absolutely gorgeous.

"I'm Param," she said. "Param Vour. I was taken a long time ago by a Sith. Thought I'd come back to revisit my village." Her silver eyes met the other echani's eyes. They were so similar, yet so different. "And I gotta say, you're sooooo cute." Param didn't even care that she blushed. She was with her own kind for once.
