History:
In the Beginning, there was eternal Darkness.
In the darkness sat a young man; lonely and bearing the burden of the great Hourglass. As the sands passed, something beautiful slowly grew in the darkness. A young woman, with a body of billions of colors.
Both enamored by each other, the two fell in love.
However while the young man aged physically, the young woman aged internally. Feeling her time running short, the woman evaporated into a gigantic splash of color. Mourning the loss of his lover, the old man created ten creatures; each that mirrored an element of his Lover, whom he called Vita.
The eldest "daughter" was modeled into land. Unknown to her father, Terra as she was called, sacrificed body to make land onto which her siblings would rule. A small part of her body slowly evolved into a larger piece, and eventually into a gigantic rock. Calling upon her sister, Unda, Terra asked for the land to have water to feed the land. Slowly, Unda gave herself to make lakes, oceans, and rivers. Thanks to the water, foliage began to form to uncontrollable proportions.
Calling upon the youngest sister, Bestia, Terra and Unda asked for life to roam the lands. Giving herself to the land, Bestia created trillions of creatures to inhabit the land and water. The creatures, all but microscopic organisms, evolved into creatures of all sizes. Many walked onto land, others swam the oceans. Creatures unable to survive in their environment were absorbed into the land and devolved back into organisms to readopt.
However, there was too much peace and life would overflow in the land.
With heavy hearts, the three sisters called upon their two brothers to trim the life. Onus and Fascis, the youngest brothers and twins, each created chaos and mayhem. As life died, and balance was brought, the other five siblings came upon this newfound paradise to test their power.
Walking the lands as giants, the five siblings each created minions to do their bidding. One advanced species, calling themselves "Humans", broke into different civilizations, many having different facial features and skin colors. Each civilization came upon the giants and gave their own name for the giants.
However, some civilizations worshiped one God more then the other. This caused jealousy amongst the Gods, and eventually conflict. Three Gods allied themselves by their want for equality, and two allied themselves for their want for sheer power and domination of life. Such created conflict across the planet as civilizations collided, each backed by their God.
However, even the "good" Gods found mistrust and dislike amongst each other, and such created full scale war. While the Gods themselves never died, human, plant and animal life suffered from their violence. As the Great Father looked on in sadness, he came upon something that filled him with great Joy.
Vita, at different times, had secretly given birth to six children. Each growing up on another side of her body, the Great Father raised the Children on the Ethereal plane, away from the wary eyes of his creations. His six children each controlled a Domain; Humus held the domain of Earth, Ignis held the domain of Fire, Aqua held the domain of Water, Anima held the domain of Air, Luminarium held the domain of Light, and Umbra held the domain of Shadow.
Sent against the Old Gods, the six siblings battled in the Thousand-Year War. After the great time of fighting, without a clear victor, the Great Father gave his six children the power to send the Old Gods into a plane beyond the known Universe. Chained in what was called Hades, or The Land of the Dead, the Great Father made this the land to which those who had committed unspeakable crimes would be sent, to suffer under the slavery of the Old Gods.
However, this power came at an unknown cost.
After sending the Old Gods to Hades, the six siblings were chained to their own domain. These domains, chained together, were a great plane of existence that required divine intervention. While saddened they would never return to Eden, the siblings remained close.
Because the God-less land of Eden would require order, the Great Father created a mate for each of the divine, to bear them children. These children would help to bring order to the God-less land...

Compatibility:
Earth and Water - Each relying on each other, Earth and Water domains work relatively well together in a harmonious relationship.
Earth and Fire - A terrible combination, Earth and Fire are always conflicting with each other due to Fire's ambitious personality and Earth's calm demeanor.
Earth and Air - While not a terrible combination, Earth and Air are always at odds due to Air's feeling of perfection and Earth's paced growth.
Earth and Light - The two work harmoniously as Water and Earth. However, there are many issues that prevent them from being friends.
Earth and Shadow - While Earth and Shadow hold general good feelings, Earth sees Shadow as too dark.
Air and Fire - While they have different personalities, Air and Fire seem to feed off of each other whether it be knowingly or unknowingly.
Air and Water - Another bad combination, Air and Water are constantly at odds with Air's high standards and Water's ever-flowing personality.
Air and Shadow - Neutral Feelings.
Air and Light - Neutral Feelings.
Light and Shadow - One of the worst combinations of a relationship, yet oddly the most balanced, Light and Shadow each have conflicting ideologies. There has been records of both domains working together to achieve true balance.
Light and Fire - While disagreeing on many topics, Light and Fire agree on more issues as an almost brother relationship.
Water and Light - While Water and Light hold a good relationship, Water sees Light as too preachy and revealing.
Water and Fire - The worst possible combination, Water and Fire are always fighting with Water's attitude deeply angering fire's ambition.
Shadow and Water - Working at an odd relationship, Shadow and Water seem to parter up in agreeable terms. Although, fights do occur on issues concerning peace and chaos.
Fire and Shadow - Similar to Earth and Light.
