Lets get this out of the way first:
We all know nobody likes dogfighting. Piloting ships, in the middle of space or otherwise where almost certain death can come from being hit just once, during a firefight where most of it is just flying, and then shooting, before making some convoluted maneuver out of the way of someone else shooting and then repeating the process, seems boring and over complicated to most people.
I, however, believe the major reason people dislike dogfighting is not because it is innately bad PvP but simply because not many people know how to do it effectively in the first place (myself included), they can be quite fast paced and interesting if done correctly. The question is how.
The purpose of this thread is for any starship savvy RPers out there with experience in this field to give their advice, tips, and general insights on how to effectively set up and perform well I a dogfighting thread.
