The Burgundy Breeze Resort. A behemoth in Zeltros, designed to accommodate the extremely wealthy, situated in a remote location of a planet already submerged in hedonism. Despite normally feeling apprehensive towards ludicrous displays of wealth, even Callum had to admit, this place was a sight to behold... though, that might well be the pheromones talking. Every inch of land for miles in every direction seemed to emanate oodles of the stuff.

To a Sith, the allure of the bohemian way was ever-present, especially when there was a hint of danger involved. But Callum had to confess, when no effort was made to conceal it, quite ironically, it felt a little cheap somehow.

Needless to say, the Acolyte turning his nose at his current position hadn't found himself here for leisure. That blame lay squarely on the shoulders of one Dago Wresk: A Muun accountant for the IGBC.

The brief described a low-level asset for the Clan, who had been involved with a fairly large project of late and had discovered an oversight that could've cost them a substantial amount of credits. He'd been gifted a residence in the Resort as compensation. Dazzled by luxury and the way of the nouveau riche, the asset had aggrandised his achievements and drawn the ire of a few unsavoury individuals.

Evidently, the individual had been notified of a possible threat a while ago, but his newfound social status had made the Muun arrogant. He'd refused to leave his slice of paradise and, when the Clan had heard an attack to be eminent, they'd called in a few favours.

'Typical. A hint of power and peasants rush to believe themselves kings. How disgraceful.' - the Acolyte mumbled while making his way up to the palatial suite Wresk was located, before being surprised by the uncharacteristic self-righteous indignation laced in his thoughts... Something was off, and the cause wasn't hard to pin-point. Callum had spent his life distancing himself from depravity, and it seemed Zeltros had other plans.

Aiding the IGBC for the Empire had been a cake-walk so far. Granted, she'd only done one job, but Aadya couldn't really envision anything the Banking Clan would need from her as being needlessly dangerous or.. difficult in the slightest. Shaking down that guy a few weeks ago with Narr had gone about as well as one could imagine. No reason to think this job would be any different.

Of course, it was a little different. They weren't beating a man into submission this time but protecting one who didn't know when to keep his stupid ass at home. Pissing people off to the point of murder wasn't a particularly hard feat to accomplish in the galaxy, but Aadya would have thought a banker would have a little bit more.. savvy and intelligence than that. Oh well. Saving idiots from themselves paid the bills in all walks of life, apparently.

Aadya had already arrived at Wresk's suite, getting there a few hours before they were supposed to to sweep the around the place for bugs or cameras and things like that. Assassins these days were getting craftier and craftier these days, you could never be too careful.

When the elevator doors signaled the arrival of her partner, Aadya greeted Callum with a wave and a small smile. She'd never met him before but that was common for Aadya when doing Empire work. There were so many Sith out there it was impossible to know them all. "I've already gone through the place looking for cameras or bugs. So if they do send assassins, there's a good chance they won't already know we're here at least."

Walking into the kitchen, Aadya grabbed the glass of liquor she'd been working on for the last bit and took a drink of it. "Wresk is in his room watching soap operas or some shit," She said with a laugh. "He should be safe back there, the weird ass doesn't even have any windows in his bed room." Realizing she'd been mega rude and forgotten to introduce herself, Aadya took another quick drink and apologized. "I'm Aadya by the way," She said, smiling again. "Your name?"

Having spent his time in the elevator trapped within his own thoughts and dealing with this blasted smell that was giving him a headache, and left him feeling like he was trying to keep an emerging drunken haze under control, by the time the Acolyte had entered the Muun's quarters, he was left face to face with a girl, about his age, who had already gotten some work done. No bugs, meaning they held some element of surprise. Excellent. She'd gone straight to business. He could appreciate that... Then again, not quite. Just as he thought he'd had her pegged, she moved onto a string of expletives no doubt hinting at her unwillingness to be here in this situation, echoing his thoughts to the letter.

By the time she'd introduced herself, the Coruscantian was a little stunned. So, after a few moments of blinking, the pureblood let off a few chuckles off at the situation, that had seemed to defuse his growing migraine. "I think I needed some reassuring of just how ridiculous this situation was. Thanks for that." - he said, in an uncharacteristic moment of total honesty.

After a long, satisfied exhale, with the mounting frustrations growing quieter, the Acolyte returned to his usual, composed and serene self. Offering up a cordial greeting, he finally responded: "I'm Callum. Very nice to meet you."

Stealing a glance at the closed door of this windowless room however, it was clear that not all of them were gone. He needed to steel himself. "Any chance I can get one of those? - he asked, his face politely gesturing towards the drink Aadya held.

"Have at it, chief." Aadya said idly, using the force to float the bottle of liquor she'd been drinking over to to Callum. "Glasses are up there in the cabinet. This dude might have terrible taste in decor but his choice in booze actually ain't bad."

Aadya returned to her own drink, downing what was left in the glass and then putting in on the table. She probably shouldn't get too drunk given the nature of their mission, but she was so incredibly bored that it very well just might happen. Taking out a smoke, Aadya lit it and let out an annoyed sigh. There were very few things in the world that she hated more than being bored.

Though it would seem the luxury of boredom wouldn't last very long. It had been maybe ten minutes or so since Callum had arrived when the elevator lit up again, signalling that someone was on their way up. Arching an inquisitive eyebrow, Aadya looked at Callum. "Were we expecting anyone else?" As far as Aadya could remember, they were the only two assigned to protecting this guy. She had a bad feeling about this.

The man wouldn't even really get the chance to answer before the elevator would ding, its doors sliding open to reveal... no one. It was empty. Visible confusion spread across Aadya's face, not entirely trusting that the elevator had came here on some kind of fluke. Just as she was about to ask Callum a question, the sound of shattered glass erupted throughout the apartment as three beings in all black busted through the windows behind them.

Apparently the elevator had just been a diversion, and it had sort of worked. Aadya had been taken by surprise but not so much that she was completely flat footed. Whipping around, Aadya drew her lightsaber and ignited it instantly. The would be assassins were holding various weaponry, though it appeared to all be melee. Clearly they'd wanted to get up close and personal with Drago.

Given that the assassins didn't attack instantly told Aadya they really hadn't been expecting much resistance. Unfortunate for them that this apartment would soon become their grave.

"Show 'em what you got Callum," Aadya said with a smile, motioning to one of the assassins to kriffin bring it on.

With a polite gesture of appreciation, Callum calmly made his way over to the cabinet and fashioned himself a drink. Naturally, it would be unbecoming to dull one's senses while expecting a fight, but a little to steady the hands wouldn't hurt. Might even make things more interesting.

Then the elevator sounded, and the Coruscantian's eyebrow rose as Aadya echoed his thoughts aloud. When it proved to be empty, his senses sharpened. The distraction had proven effective. Truly. He had absolutely no idea such an entrance would come to pass. Unfortunately for them, it seemed the Drast's previous remark had hit the nail on the head. They weren't expecting opposition, and seemed as surprised to see them as they were.

But he'd been trained by the Sith for the entirety of his existence, just about. So, even while his mind struggled to cope, his body took over and out came the lightsabre. Aadya had beaten him to the punch by drawing hers just a few instants before.

Normally, Callum wasn't much for pointless taunting, or exerting needless effort in general. But Zeltros seemed decided on making him act on his more animalistic impulses, and just now, that felt like just what the doctor ordered. He'd beat the daylights out of these assassins and he'd love every second of it.

"Gentlemen. How nice of you to show." - he said, stepping forward, his blade arcing to meet the torso of the black-clothed being closest to him. A cliché, true, but then if he couldn't pull it off, then who could?
