The DS-2- commonly known as a "Doo-Wop" after the distinctive sound it makes when fired- is a simple, sturdy, and reliable weapon for anyone looking to pack a non-lethal wallop in a clunky carbine sized package. The DS-2 fires stun waves equal in power to many modern blaster rifles, but without the resultant explosive mess. The blasts are short range and dissipate coherence quickly to further minimize the chances of causing collateral damage or injuries. The Manufacturers marketing materials claim it is an effective one-shot-stop for most unarmored small-to-medium sized humanoids, though it recommends a multiple strikes against Wookies, Gammoreans, or similarly large creatures.
