Yeah, that Avondale place? That's where I lived and grew up. West Grove? Where my high school was located. It's a small community, and while we're used to thefts and stuff, murder is pretty much unheard of. I got really worried when I saw that article, I was actually relieved when it wasn't anybody I knew. Scared the crap out of me....

had to have been a small town....a double homicide is a nearly daily thing in most cities of any half respectable size.....you know not counting the other homicide, attempted homicide, assaults and other things.

There was a double murder/suicide a few years ago on my town. Some guy killed his parents and then killed himself. Horrible.

It isn't exactly a shithole. Alot of Hispanics have settled in the area, and many of them are illegals. They have a really bad reputation since it seems they're always getting into some sort of trouble with the law. I feel a bit horrible in saying this, but the fact that it seems a Hispanic committed the crime isn't really that surprising. What is surprising is the homicide.

there was a kid i went to school with in Atlanta who's dad was a lawyer. A man he helped convict got out of jail, went to his house, the dad wasn't home but his son (kid from school) and wife were. I don't remember if he was caught or not.

Only notible murder we had in my town was the Murder of Laci Peterson. Though a murder here and there rarely pops up, unless vehicular man slaughter counts which we had this Thanksgiving. Oh, and two hold ups with one being a bank and the other a chuckie cheese.

A shithole would be if a murder happened everyday, there were chronic thefts, and the place looked like a slum. It doesn't. We just get bad people. ;)
