"If only there was a cure for suffering..."
It is one thing to be born with the expectation of a healthy and prolonged life...and quite another to be expected to die within twelve months. I wasn't born perfect, nor will I ever be. The best I can do is provide the most out of my life to make sure nobody else is created like me. A mistake...and thought best to be left to die. I survived. And here I am now...though for how long, nobody knows.
From a young age, I struggled with a weak heart. The doctors said, every time, that it was a miracle I could even walk. I sought to prove them wrong, swore on my life and my soul that they would not see me fall because of a statistic. And I did. I could run kilometers on end, I could crawl, I could enjoy the sun on my face as I never was allowed to before...just because the numbers on a screen told my family that I should be dead. I sought to achieve more, to push myself harder and find a way to make sure nobody became me.
Once I was done making sure my body would not fail, I made sure my mind kept up as well. It was important for making sure I could end the terrible disease that plagued me, and being able to run was the least of my worries. I pushed myself to excel in academics, past what anyone could have guessed because of my 'weakness'. I became the best, the smartest...I was getting closer to my goal. I attended universities, performed groundbreaking research, and experimented on myself...all the while remembering why I had chosen this path.
At the same time...I realized that I wasn't going to save anyone with my work from a desk at a university. I needed to do more for the people that needed it most, not just the rich and privileged. After all, I had never come from a wealthy family in the first place. I joined the Republic Judicial Forces, hoping my research could be of some use there. It was..but a few years too late. Nobody needed to save themselves from disease and chemicals anymore...rather the terror of the Sith.
Now I am in command of a rather lowly CBRN unit, which picks up on the jobs nobody else wants. We're here for when things get rough...or if someone needs to blame the Doctor (me) for what went wrong..

Aga is tough, and pushes herself to the extreme whenever she needs to get a task done. She focuses on that single task as best as she can until it is done, before moving on. This isn't to say she lacks the ability to multitask, as achieving a degree in pathology and researching genetics in an extremely short span of time meant that she was more often than not pushing sleep out of her schedule. She is hard wired by her own doing to push as best as she can, whenever she needs to.
Despite her extreme sense of getting the job done-isms, she is very compassionate for people, especially those in her similar shoes, and this is one of the driving reasons for her joining the RJF. She wanted to make a difference for those that were poor, or couldn't afford lifesaving medicine. She wanted to stop epidemics like the ones that had taken the lives of her sisters, and all along this path she grew into an able leader, achieving a promotion and feeling redeemed for what she thought was a just cause in the university that she had attended.
Her concept of being straight, truthful, blunt, and to the point translates into the way she looks. Her hair is swept aside just enough so it isn't in the way and is easy to slip a mask over, and she never tries to make herself look any better than she is. Doctor Landis is not one to worry about what looks the best, only what works the best. This translates into everything she had done, even with her research on medicine and conquering her weaknesses with the power of technology on her side.
She possesses red hair, hazel eyes, and an athletic build from the training that she put herself through her whole life. Landis is almost never seen outside of either equipment and apparel or the uniform of her unit. She keeps strong, but wonders if some day her disabilities will get the better of her.
