SPECIES: Human
AGE: 33
GENDER: Male
FORCE SENSITIVE: No

APPEARANCE:
Height: 6'2
Weight: 152 LB

General Description: Dolor's build can best be described as "full". In no way thin enough to be described as lanky, he is also not wide or strong enough to appear stocky. However, his demeanor and posture contribute to giving him a rather imposing presence in whatever room he is in, added to by the fact he rarely removes his mask. When his mask is revealed however, it reveals a bald, shockingly pale man, with grey eyes consistently hovering over dark circles. Many would describe him as appearing dispassionate or empty judging off of his eyes and mouth, locked in an indifferent expression, neither grinning nor scowling. Those who speak to him know that this look does not hold a candle to the truth.

He carries a large patch of skin that appears to have been wounded with acid over his back, presumably due to a testing accident, which has never been confirmed or denied by the doctor. Other than this obvious scar, he carries few others, minor puncture and slash wounds scattered across his chest due to tests on unruly subjects before he was able to work in a complete lab with security staff.

ATTRIBUTES:
Strength: 6/10 - His build ensures that while he pays little attention to his strength, he is able to hold his own.

Dexterity: 4/10 - Slow by most standards physically, he would ratherbe behind a wall of guards and walk away snickering than have to perform feats of escapism.

Endurance: 4/10 - Physical activity is not common for the good Doctor, and it shows when he has to run.

Constitution: 6/10 - Being in a mask, or when needed a biohazard suit, he receives little exposure to disease, and his immune system is beginning to weaken as a result.

Intelligence: 9/10 - On the subject of genetics and biotechnology, few sentients come close to his level of expertise.

Wisdom: 8/10 - Years of working in a dangerous field with many avenues that lead to prison or execution has taught him the best decisions to make.

Charisma: 8/10 - His charisma is a strange one. He gives off an air of confidence, and has a reputation for getting results. His charisma stems less from his personal ability, but rather his will and speech style.

PERSONALITY:
Described as dispassionate on the outside, Dr. Morbus seems to pursue his sciences with utterly impersonal, if implacable drive. He is determined to fulfill his goals at any cost, and has a severely broken moral compass. This manifests itself in both his tone when referring to "inferior" beings, and his habits of performing tests on unwilling specimens, as long as it provides the best results.

Dolor lacks a basic understanding of good or evil, simply sees himself as fulfilling his own desires and goals, and that if he has the strength and will to do it he has the right to do it. A longer conversation than a few passing remarks will often reveal these facts, but to less reputable businesses and clients this is an invaluable asset to use.

This also has the effect of him being seemingly virulently xenophobic towards some species. He uses biological and mental capability as the ultimate judge of worth, and so a species he has studied and deemed weak will often receive the full extent of his horrific attention, attempting to "improve" them.

BIOGRAPHY:
Born to a pair of wealthy geneticist parents on Chandrila, Dolor was destined from birth to carry on the family business. To their only son, and to the outside world, the pair presented a very respectable pretense. They had cured major diseases and defects, improved agricultural output, and been a massive boon in general. However, as the boy would soon learn from reading his fathers notes, there was a darker side to his father's experimentation. His mother had no knowledge of this hidden part of her husband. With notes detailing experiments on criminals to try to "improve" the species, and information in a similar vein, the boy was slowly corrupted by an all encompassing need to abandon his growing resume of normal biological work, and perform his newly learned experiments regarding biotechnology and species improvement in secret.

When his father inevitably found him reading his notes, he was in no way upset. When Dolor showed him his own experiments, the father had never been prouder. They compared notes, performed each others experiments, in a feverish few nights of immoral scientific ecstasy. After years of unimpeded research, the pair realized the mother was becoming suspicious. At this point neither of them held any reservations about keeping their science safe, and elected to have the woman removed from the picture. After an unfortunate accident befell the woman, the pair began receiving visits from police.

The local government had finally decided they had enough evidence of long suspected immoral practices to at least get a warrant to search the premise. Dolor elected to leave the planet, but his father was unable to abandon his research. With as much emotion as one would have saying goodbye to a respected coworker, the father gave his son his mask, used to shield himself during his more dangerous experiments involving bioweaponry, and bid him farewell.

Now loose on the galaxy, with little plan other than to create the perfect lifeform, and improve all he could get his hands on, he set off to begin his research, which he affectionately refers to as his Quest of The Flesh.

A time after working for Czerka, the connections and credits necessary to clear his good name and erase his records had come into his possession. Now the galaxy was truly open to him, his status as a Doctor returned and any mention of his ethical issues removed from Republic records.

SKILLS:
Genetics: Spent most of his life performing research in the field of genetics and biotechnology
Medical Expertise: Knowing most species inside and out, literally, he is an expert on providing medical assistance, despite the fact he is no longer legally a Doctor.
General Intelligence: Supple of mind, willing to learn, Dolor is well equipped to learn anything and everything that can assist him in some way.
Connections: His work affords him a certain amount of political clout on sufficiently corrupted planets.

GEAR:
Biohazard Suit: Basic hazardous materials suit used for dangerous experiments
Re-breather: Worn most of the time, can be used with replaceable filters or standard air supply. Used in conjunction with mask
Mask: Covers his entire head, offering little protection other than being a little bit more metal protecting his scalp. Equipped with re-breather, he intends to upgrade the mask as time goes on.
Assorted Medical Equipment: Basic medical equipment is on his person at all times, enough to perform field surgery and stabilization of injured individuals. Research equipment and large scale equipment is kept in labs.
Lab Gear: Simple suit shown in image, designed for use in lab work, supported by thin plastid plates in vital areas.
Blaster Pistol: Average power blaster pistol for emergenices
SHIP:
Small freighter equipped with a basic lab for his research, with enough Security and staff to allow him to be in his lab at most times.

ROLE-PLAYS:

OOC NOTES:
As always, criticism is appreciated, been a while since I made a character. I won't cry, I promise.

If you're looking for less than reputable work, The Exchange may be up your alley.

Just took a look, certainly interesting. I'll keep it in my head, but I think that's a bit too underworldy for him, I think he would fit better in a company. Thanks a bunch though!

Well, in that case, if you ever require the underworld's services...you know who to find.
