To the Empress Andraste,
On this solemn day, we bring together those courageous souls whom, as liberty lies dying, declare their willingness to spill their blood in order to save it; these defiant generals and soldiers who stand against your tyranny.
Let these sacred words unite us, and be the signal of battle and of our rebellion;
We stand for the Light, for a galaxy united in peace and free of Evil and corruption. We serve Justice, and seek a harmonious alliance of planets and species, all working towards greater unity.
Though you, and your Imperium stand in opposition to these ideals, and your every action revives the memories of the cruelties inflicted by your barbarous minions, still the flames of hope and righteousness burn strong. Though we were once defeated by our differences, we now find common ground. We say to you, we are tired of breathing the air that you breathe.
We hold nothing in common with you, and your genocidal crusades against those whom offend you, your torture pits and your blood sports. The disparity between your desire for callous murder and wanton rapine and our want of justice and peace could not be more obvious. These differences tell us plainly that you and your Sith and not our brothers, that they never will be, and should your beliefs find refuge among us, they will once again plot to trouble and divide us.
To that, we say nay. We, the brave warriors of Mandalore and the soldiers of the Galactic Alliance, the Jedi Order and the Imperial Knights, we rise up in unison and declare our defiance, our rebellion against you.
We seek not simply your defeat, but an ontological revolution that wipes your poison from our galaxy. We dare first to be free, by ourselves and for ourselves. We imitate the grown child; his own weight breaks the boundary that has become an obstacle to him. Though many fallen heroes once fought for us, we now fight for ourselves, to break the shackles that you would place upon us, in order to enslave us.
To the people of the galaxy, so long without good fortune, if there could exist among you a lukewarm heart, let him distance himself and tremble to take the oath which must unite us. But those of you of stout heart, and fierce mind, we implore you, vow to yourself, to posterity, to the entire universe, to forever renounce the Sith and to die rather than live under their domination; to fight until your last breath for the freedom of this galaxy.
Witness the oath we ourselves have taken, and remember that we count upon your constancy and courage as we throw ourselves into the career of liberty to fight the despotism and tyranny that you have struggled against for over a decade. Remember that we sacrifice everything to rally to your defense; family, children, fortune. We are now rich only with your liberty, and our names shall become a horror to those who wish enslavement and bondage. The Empress, Andraste, shall curse the day we were born. We shall, hand in hand with you, sustain the liberty that you cherish. Stand with us now, in liberty
Stand with us in Rebellion.
Stand with us in Defiance.
