BIOGRAPHY
Born off-world adrift on a colony vessel, Dredgen was born to an unremarkable couple that was selected for an initiative that was directed to colonize a new world in the Outer-Rim. Primarily they were farmers, able to tend the fields and livestock that would be both beneficial and crucial to their survival when building the infrastructure of the colony. The operation itself would only take a matter of 10 years to fully have the colony up and running at a capacity that would allow for further efforts to have the planet be a successful colonization effort.

Strateris, the name of the planet, is where Dredgen would eventually come to call his home. Though the colonization efforts would be a success, they were not without their hardships. Many times it seemed as if the colony was doomed to fail through a variety of reasons. Terra-forming was not always a success. Equipment failed, shortages of food and water were frequent and disease was common. But in the end Dredgen and his parents were able to help stabilize the colonization effort and were inducted as Strateris' actual first citizens of its newly found government. Though with many colonization efforts, there was always room for a very common problem. Being so far from the rest of the galaxy meant that they were regularly cut-off in a sense. Hyperspace travel is indeed an effective mode of travel but for such a far jump to their location, it was a hurdle in of itself for fuel and having the proper warp-drives to make the jump safely back and forth.

And in the case of being so far removed and the problems that would crop up every now and again with supplies and the like, Strateris was faced with the problem of in-fighting, especially in the governmental collective ruling body. It was soon apparent that their model for ruling, the way most of the Republic was ran, was failing as the in-fighting grew and grew, eventually culminating in many cities dividing themselves away from one another. Taking up their own forms of independence. Civil War was breaking out across every settled location. Two sides were constructed. The Loyalists, those who wished to continue on with the current governmental powers and the Dissidents, those who believed that things needed to change for the betterment of all and solve the issues that they were facing as a people swiftly.

Though Dredgen and his family were not aligned to either side and simply wanted to escape the fighting, their settlement was raided by Loyalist forces out of a desperation for food and resources. What originally started as an order to hand over what they had, it soon turned into a slaughter of everyone who wasn't on the Loyalist's side or wasn't willing to part with what they had. Dredgen was spared but not without being first given a scar over his left eye by a vindictive Loyalist soldier.

Dredgen joined with the Dissidents soon thereafter and proceeded to learn how to fight as rebels do. Mostly through guerrilla warfare and loosely based tactics founded by prior military veterans who had joined the colony's initiative years ago. The young man who had lost his parents turned into a hardened rebel fighter whose dedication to the cause knew little bounds, often leading operations himself after proving his fighting and leadership capabilities.

Though they were close to liberating the key city that held the reigning governmental powers, ultimately they agreed to a ceasefire in order to begin talks of peace and negotiations. However, it was something of a ruse as a detachment from the Republic Fleet was sent to rescue the colonists. Though the Loyalists had managed to convince the Republic military forces that they had done no wrong and that the Dissidents were simply savage dogs looking for power and wanting to rule with their own iron fist. Shortly thereafter the Republic forces attacked and decimated the Dissidents. Eventually they were forced into a bitter surrender and Dredgen himself was taken prisoner in order to face trial and was extradited back into Republic space.

He served some time within the Republic petitionary system, though the prison itself was privately owned through a corporation that used its prison populace to mine asteroids for resources. All the while the hardened rebel fighter was now smoldering with a bitter hatred for the Republic. Eventually he was able to stage jailbreak from the prison and found himself fleeing back to Strateris, seeking out those who might have remained and managed to flee.

Though he was unsuccessful. Nothing but a broken land ravaged by war with people simply trying to survive by this point and so he set back out across the Outer-rim. Involving himself with the more nefarious parts of the criminal underworld. Acting as an enforcer for cartels, handling shipments and transactions for black market deals for things such as weaponry and illicit drugs and the like. His primary passion was taking part in proxy wars, selling himself as a hired gun to break whatever element was in front of them. Although he had a particular soft spot for rebel causes, always lowering his price drastically in order to fit what they might need. It was his way of righting the wrongs of his own past and thus he continues his operations in the Outer-Rim to this day.
