Social for mandalorians and any who would be invited. Celebrating the death of the Emperor
Raffle ooc drawing thread
THEME

Koil was smiling and standing on the recently setup stage, his foot tapping to the beat. It had been implimented after the last time they had used the establishment. Burkhart had actually apparently realized it would have been cheaper to just buy the place and use it for their own hangouts rather than pay for damages.

The Emperor was dead and there was a lot to celebrate. There was a turning point in the galactic politics and relations. Chaos and victory went hand in hand. The Mandalorian realized that he would not waste too much of his time ignoring the delights that life had to offer. Whether that was drink, music, adventure or other experiences he would not take them for granted.

Tonight much of the greater galaxy were celebrating the downfall of Darth Vrael, also known as Ozias Zameer-Drast. But some people, the Mandalorians and especially the members of Clan Solus, would be sure to celebrate in greater display since they had a direct hand in his death.

Archie say in a booth, curled up in a mile of coats various patrons had probably forgotten in their drunken stupors. The back of the bar and the bathroom had been cleaned up and repair. If this was Koil's first time in the establishment he would not have known that a galactic war had been waged on its inside after they had freed Hutt space of Imperial Hutta rule.

Already there were quite a few Mandalorians around. Burkhart was somewhere to be found in the back probably. Hopefully they would get to do the raffle Koil had planned for later. That would add to the fun. He sipped his second drink so far. The first he had imbibed while assisting the setup, the second was now helping him relax in anticipation for other people's arrival.

There were a some tables for pazak and sabac, there were screens for sports with subtitles on though the volumes were down. The lighting was dim to match the time outside and the night life. At the back of a stage there was a board that had the possible prized for those that participated.

[fancybox2]
First: One mandalorian ship of your choice (cannot be AT)
Second: One item or weapon of your choice (cannot be AT)
Third: A free tattoo at Koil's tattoo parlor
Fourth: A free night of drinking at the Charred Arch
Fifth: You get to order Koil to do one thing (within reason)
[/fancybox2]

The man was not completely sure how comfortable he was about the last one but shrugged and downed the last of his second drink. He was ready to cut loose and have a good time. A run of successful missions and much more he had to be thankful for. Soon great company would arrive and that was all he could ask for.

Reyna had heard the news of the Emperor's untimely passing not too long ago and she'd been laughing about it ever since. It was quite astounding to her that anyone could have ever found loyalty or supported such a decrepit and clearly stupid leader. Getting blown up in your own house had to have been the most pathetic way to go as far as she was concerned.

Arriving at the deathday celebration, Reyna looked around and didn't see many of her clanmates yet. It wasn't common for her to be the first to arrive so she felt kind of awkward, and the only solution to that feeling was to start drinking. Finding the bar, Reyna ordered some sort of amber whiskey in a glass with no ice. She noticed Koil and gave him a wave and wandered over towards the stage. She saw the sign about the raffle and snorted at the list of prizes. Koil had no clue what he was getting himself into.

Looking around again, Reyna took out a smoke, lit it and sipped at her drink. Hopefully her friends would arrive soon and the party could get started for real - Solus style.

The Wookiee walked to the place of the celebration, at the moment wearing just a simple bandoleer, his light repeater on his back. At the news about the Emperor's death, he honestly thought that it was impossible. Such a powerful individual, blown up in his own house? Damn, that should have been quite the hard hit for the Old Empire.
The Kelborn poked his head in the room where the party was supposed to be, and for a moment he thought that he went into the wrong place, until he noticed the two Solus, and so he came in. At the moment the translator mask was hanging from his bandoleer, but if needed he would put it on.

Rayne sat comfortably on her chair, a flute of champagne in her left hand, and a shot of whiskey in her right. She'd been riding a nice buzz for the majority of the day. Whoooo! Rayne cheered, then downed the whiskey before chasing it with the champagne.

Rayne looked about the area, and then she saw him, @Shorwarr Kelborn, the Wookie.. she'd been meaning to meet him for a while, but had just been too busy to introduce her self. Walking over to him, and only stumbling once on her left foot from the alcohol, she approached the Wookie Kelborn, Heyyyy guy! Rayne said, placing her left hand on the wookies left shoulder as she moved her right to cheers whatever drink it had in its hands.

After downing the rest of her drink, she tossed the glass, and said, I am Super Commando Rayne Kelborn, pleasure to finally meet you brother! With her, now free, right hand extended to shake the wookie's hand.

Rayne kept looking around, and spotted @Reyna Solus, after that tower job, she'd been meaning to have a drink with that one, it'd have to wait till later though.

The Wookiee tilted his head as he felt a hand rest on his shoulder and turned around to look at the woman. He smiled widely seeing that it was one of his clan. Even though it was five years since he joined the Mandalorians, he didn't have many occasions to talk with other clan members, even when he was officially made a Mandalorian.
He shook hands with Rayne, holding her hand quite hard, and roared a "Nice to meet you!" but then realized that maybe she didn't understand him. So he gestured to the mask hanging from his bandoleer and looked at her like to ask Do you need that I put my translator on, or can you understand me?

Given that @Rayne Kelborn had dragged her to the bar to celebrate with the rest of her clan, Brianna sat not too far from her, merely watching the celebrations kick off in full swing. She held back a laugh as she watched Rayne stumble drunkenly towards a Wookie and introduce herself. Brianna hollered her from her seat at the bar: "Careful Ray, I'm pretty sure he can kick your ass."

She recognized Koil from their mission back on Taanab, though he seemed preoccupied at the moment; though, she was considering the Pazak game just for the hell of it. She had found it odd not to bump into any of her fellow clan members in recent times, but it wasn't a big deal, she had been in some many missions with Kelborn clan members, she sometimes felt she was part of them. She had thought about swearing off her clan and asking to join as a member, but the hoops that would involve were something she wasn't sure she wanted to go through. But that didn't matter right now, they had kicked the crap out of the Empire good today, and without their Emperor at the top, it was only a matter of time before the Sith turned on one another like a pack of dogs. The last time she had gone to one of these socials she ended up shacking up with Rayne, she could only imagine the nonsense that would come out of this.

Well, they'd done it, sorta. The Emperor was dead, killed by Mandalorians- the Mand'alor. The story differed depending on who you asked or what source you went to but the general consensus was that Raz, the glorious Mand'alor, had been the one to take him out. Arturo still couldn't quite believe it all, his mind still processing the information as he walked into the bar, clad in his Beskar'gam minus the T-Visor. The news had hit him far harder than any ordinance he could care to name, and that particular bombshell had left him reeling. In a good way, mind you. It wasn't every day one learnt of such a decisive blow against such a hated enemy; it wouldn't surprise him if the attack proved to be a crippling one, delivered by one of the strongest women he'd ever come to respect, and love.

Crossing the floor to the stage, Arturo couldn't help but grin as he recognized a few familiar faces amongst the growing crowd. Reyna was here, as was Koil, the man responsible for organizing this little get together. The tracker threw a wave their way, noting a few members of Clan Kelborn amidst those Mandalorians occupying the tables and propping up the bar as he did. Out of his right-side periphery he noticed one other addition to the party: Archie. He would've completely missed the Badger had it not poked its head up as he walked in, its body submerged beneath a growing pile of jackets and coats. Arturo nodded. The badger -Daniel's badger- yawned widely, sinking back into the coat-burrow, taking no more notice of him or anyone as it settled down.

Reaching the stage, Arturo drew to a stop next to Reyna, his sister of Solus, waving a cloud of smoke from his face as he gazed at the list of raffle prizes. He double-checked it, focusing on the fifth prize, before breaking out into laughter. "Am I reading this right, Reyna?" @Logan Arturo asked, nodding a proper greeting now that he was amongst friends. He already knew the answer; his eyes hadn't deceived him, as much as he'd thought they had. He turned to Koil, grinning up at his brother-in-arms, shaking his head, confused.

"I have to say, vod, @Darasuum you're either incredibly brave...or incredibly stupid." His voice dropped an octave as he leaned closer, a conspiratory whisper on his lips. "Between you and me, I know it's a strange mix of the two." He winked, grinning all the while. Perching himself on the stage, Arturo ordered himself a drink as they waited a few minutes longer for more of their brethren to arrive. It wouldn't be long before this party truly started.

After hearing of the Emperor's death and how he was taken out not too long ago, Radth has been in the party mood. Strolling into the placehe noted how some had already arrived to celebrate. At least he is not late this time, though if he was the warrior was prepared with an excuse.

Taking a seat next to the wookie it did not take long for Radth to have a drink in his hand. After cheering he downed the entire glass of whiskey then pouring another. Then he figured that he should at least be a bit social before he has too much to drink. So he turned his attention to the wookie, "Woah! Are you our new brother?" He asked leaning towards Shorwarr. He had never seen a wookie before until now, amd well he had a lot of questions. Not to mention he wants to try having a wrestling match with the wookie.

Already emptying his second glass Radth leaned against the counter a bit with his arms folded in front of him, as he looked around at the people who had arrived so far. Which were strangely mostly women so far. He imagined the place would be full of more so of men.

The Wookiee tilted his head and turned to look at Radth, and gave a soft chuckle. Figuring that probably most people there didn't understand Shyriiwook, he put on the translator mask and turned it on Basic. "Yep, that's me. The name's Shorwarr" he said, offering the man a hand. "I'll be honest, despite being among the Mandalorians for a few years, I haven't seen many clan members around" he said with a voice that sounded like an aged man, like in its fifties or so.

Solone sat quietly in a booth, legs outstretched in front of her, her beskad on the table to threaten anyone who tried to take a seat across from her, even with the death of the Emperor, she was not feeling festive, but found the opportunity to finally not be drinking alone. She had not been feeling herself, she had not been feeling as though she were a Mandalorian, enough so, she had left her beskar'gam back in her apartment but still carried her weapons, those seem to deter frisky patrons of the crime world. She had thought perhaps she was feeling homesick, but the thought of returning back to her family and listening to how she has still not done enough quickly extinguished that idea. So instead Solone had stayed put, waiting for bounties to come through in order to earn her credits and occasionally show up like now to interact with other Mandalorians.

The Wren watched as the bar begun to fill, she recognized the sigils of many who entered and some of the helmetless faces that joined in the party. Interacting was low on her list, she more just liked to be in the company of others to give herself the illusion she was not being mopey and withdrawn like some teen going through a phase. Least though, she could drink and that made things a little better as she hoarded a couple of whiskey bottles for herself, nearly gone through the first bottle as she filled her glass, as she wasn't a heathen. She quickly emptied the glass and started on the next bottle, waiting to decide if she would just drink herself under or if she would actually do something.

When @Shorwarr Kelborn responded in his native wookie tonuge, Rayne garbled back at him, in an attempt to mimic the wookie language, but it more just came out in a gargled moan, she then clarified, That means hello.. it didn't..

Rayne was already fairly drunk, having pre gamed heavily just a little before coming down to the party. She'd intelligently decided to leave all of her weapons behind, except for her shock gauntlets of course, cause everyone knew, especially @Brianna Saxon that it wasn't a party without shock gauntlets..

Using the wookie for balance Rayne looked @Radth Kelborn in the eye, Hey.. that tower was a mess.. she said slurring a couple of the words. When he started talking to the wookie / stability cane she was next to Rayne appreciated the wookie putting on the translator, Now we can communicate.. she said..

Koil would notice the arrival of several mandalorians. He would give Reyna a nod when she waved to him. Other people, in spectacular fashion had already been getting blitzed throughout the day, or at least a standard day. Koil knew how long the days on Nar Shaddaa could be and had learned that the hard way, essentially partying for two days worth in one night after the celebration of the Mandalorian - Jedi - Rebel party from last time. Thinking about that time, mixed with his growing buzz and the relative quiet in the moment made his thoughts drift.

Koil had heard about how Leandros(@Painus ) had felt after the night, about Raz. He had seen enough of it on Nar Shaddaa between him and Valentine and the two testosterone filled men had not exactly been subtle. While Koil had not gotten involved during the event nor inquired about it afterwards, people talked and the man was observant enough as it was. Putting two and two together was not a stretch. But one thing he was uncertain of was how Raz felt about Leandros or if she knew. When he asked himself why he cared it was then he realized his own feelings. But as far as he was concerned Raz (@Sreeya ) was probably not in a place to be approached about personal life. After all she just saw Koil as an advisor, which she had made clear while he had helped her with her physical therapy after losing her arm.

It would be in poor taste for him to do something as simple as asking her out. With his luck the woman would be completely offended, put on the spot. He was not Valentine, he was not Leandros or anybody else. Koil was not really sure who he was anymore. Raz made him want to be a better person. He would be acting to the contrary by committing to such a selfish act as to seek her affections at a time like this. But tonight would hopefully change some of that.

The only struggle with having an overly analytical mind meant he was constantly second guessing himself. What if there was no future chance. Koil loved Leandros like a brother but on a few things they did not see eye to eye. Perhaps the man did not know it because Koil rarely spoke but he had different priorities. He just was not sure if he was the best thing for Raz and while part of that the Echani recognized as some biased, the other was genuine concern for her well being. Regardless of it all his Mand’alor could think for herself and it would do neither of them any good to approach her when she did not have the space in her life for that sort of thing.

With all that in mind that meant he had to occupy himself or continue to dwell on what was out of reach. So he kept going on missions, kept doing what was best for the Clan, the House, for all Mandalorians. Perhaps the main reason he had decided to rise to the rank he was now was because he could not see himself taking orders from anybody but Raz. While he would do right by all of his comrades he would not heed the words of anybody save for his own.

He was jerked out of his mind at the arrival of one of his closest friends (@Kraken ). Underneath his helmet he smiled and raised his glass. "A bit of both I'm afraid." He said admittedly. Hod Ha'ran, he hoped he would not regret putting that prize up there. Then again, that made him want to get another drink because while some fears of doing some stupid task entered his mind, knowing his clan mate's immaturity, he would rather be plastered when doing those tasks and it would probably look bad if he refused to do an order even if it was won fair and square. In fact, he would curse to himself for the hell of it before cupping both hands in front of where his mouth would be and shout out to everyone in the bar. "A free shot for EVERYBODY!" The server droid would pull out over a dozen glasses and begin pouring. Maybe if other people were super drunk they would not ask something ridiculous of him.

The Wookiee turned towards Koil (@Darasuum) and chuckled, approaching him with his lumbering pace, and gladly accepted the drink. "Heh, I heard that it was a group from the Solus clan who killed the emperor. Well, you have all my compliments! I'm just wondering how they managed to sneak such a powerful bomb in the Emperor's house. By the way, the name's Shorwarr, from the Kelborn clan" he said through his translator, offering the human a hand.

After Rayne enjoyed another free shot, since all her drinks were free here.. she mingled around a bit longer, saying her hellos to those she knew, and introducing herself to a few she didn't, she spotted one of her Marauders coyly trying to get her attention.

Perplexed she nonchalantly made her way in his direction, finally arriving with an interested and half drunk, What's going on? Her mouth hanging half open after the last word, and he handed her a small vial with a trademarked powder inside, Oh.. you're a life saver! She giggled, hugging the man.

Finding herself a nice secluded spot, she poured a dab of the KIK Dust onto the back of her hand and proceeded to lick it up, the familiar drug coursing through her body dissolving most of her alcoholic stupor, and bringing about a nice supple high.

After a second hit of the dust she pocketed the rest of the vial and made her way back to the party and its attendees, with but one goal in mind, and it had been a long time coming.

She was still a little drunk, and was now fairly high, which gave her the perfect amount of courage.. Rayne ignored everyone she walked by, the drunkenness and state of being high giving her tunnel vision, Rayne made a B line for @Brianna Saxon. Pausing for a second to giggle at the fact that "B line" and "Brianna" both started with a B.. Or a Bri line..

When Rayne finally arrived, she took the girl from her her stool, pulling her by the hands to a standing position a few feet from the spot and knelt down, Bri.. Rayne started, fighting hard to get some thing out of her pocket. Finally getting a grip on it and pulling out a black diamond encrusted platinum ring and holding it up to the @Brianna Saxon, We are one whether we are together or apart, we will share everything and we will raise our children as warriors. Be my wife so that everyone here may forever be jealous.. Rayne said, the rehearsed lines spilling out just like they were supposed to, and Rayne's heart was pounding harder and harder by the second, any harder and she was sure it was going to pop out of her chest, how fitting would that be the girl who had Rayne's heart in her hands would then be able to literally hold Rayne's heart in her hands...

Seeing the milling about in the bar put a smile on Brianna's face, and a few shots of Corellian Whiskey didn't hurt either. Koil had announced a free shot for everyone, so Brianna jumped on the chance to take another shot of whiskey. The Emperor was dead, and the Empire on the ropes. This was a day worthy of a hangover in her mind.

She was busy watching Rayne try to communicate with the Wookie, though she seemed to be failing quite utterly. She had to laugh at that, before going back to people watching. She wondered how her father was doing, curious if he was still living in that run down shack at the edge of the woodlands. She wasn't sure if he was even alive now. The thoughts brought up feelings of guilt, so she drowned it down with her newly gifted shot of whiskey. She was feeling quite a bit drunk now, not nearly as bad as on Nar Shaddaa, but she was getting close.

Shortly after finishing her drink, she noticed Rayne shambling towards her with all the grace of a drunkard. She had seen her like this before, but it still brought a grin to her face. All of that discipline brought low by one too many drinks, it was amusing to say the least. She was waiting for Ray to drag her away to meet with someone she had bumped into, or maybe take a shot together. She hadn't expected to be pulled off her stool, and almost sent tumbling into Ray in the process, and have Ray drop to one knee in front of her. Laughing, she was about to ask Ray what she was trying to do, but stopped as she realized what was going on. She pursed her lips together and looked away, trying to conceal the big ass smile that was slowly spreading over her face; obviously it wasn't working.

She would have to get back at Ray for doing this, getting her emotional in front of all these people? Maybe next time they went to the shooting range, she wouldn't go easy on her. Yea, that'd show her. But now, that didn't matter, not really anyways. Bri looked back at Ray, her eyes watering as she tried to find the words. She settled on another method, knowing Ray would understand it. She threw out a punch, it had hardly any force behind it, to Rayne's cheek. She followed it up by embracing the woman, and whispering to her. "I will." She laughed, through a set of happy tears, recalling the promise she made so many nights ago on Nar Shaddaa, after Rayne had clocked her with shock gauntlets during that bar brawl. It might have looked odd to onlookers, but that didn't matter. Of course, by the powers of drunk combined, the two were having to keep each other propped up.

She tried to keep as close to Ray as possible, so she had more time to recover from her crying. She wasn't sure if the rest of the bar was aware of what was going on, but that didn't matter. After what felt like a lifetime of not being good enough, someone had finally seen her as valuable. All that mattered in this moment was the two of them, and whatever the future had in store for them.

After the death of the Emperor, Raz and Leandros had both been stuck on Raxus for some time. There had been lockdowns on travel to and from the planet, and this meant lying low for a while. Mandalorians everywhere cheered and celebrated, but Raz hadn’t had the chance to join them till now. She had been in communication with her war council whenever possible, though it was risky to contact them often. As soon as they were able, she and Leandros quickly made it off the planet and back into their own space.

Raz wasn’t entirely sure about returning to the very same bar that had some painful memories from last time, but she couldn’t deny the desire to reconnect with her people. She arrived slightly late, walking in with her armor on without the helmet. She was in good spirits, spotting familiar faces all around and smiling at them all. It was still surreal that she had assassinated the Sith Emperor, but she couldn’t have done it without the help of Leandros, Koil and Drace. She would owe them all big time for this.

She walked in just as Koil called out for free shots, and she grinned as she went over to get one for herself. Raz walked towards him @Darasuum, clapping a hand on his shoulder, “Good to see you,” She said, “I didn’t think I’d make it out of Raxus alive,” She clinked her glass against his before throwing down the shot. Raz was temporarily distracted when the crowd hushed to observe something. It took a moment to register that there was a proposal going on.

She watched the mild interest as the proposal was made, and Brianna took her sweet time before responding. After she did, everyone burst into cheer and Raz raised her drink to them, “Oya!” She had enjoyed the last wedding, though she never planned on being in someone’s wedding party again. That was far more effort than she liked.

The mission had been a complete success, and the assassins finally returned to their home space. Raz and Leandros spent quite some time on Raxus avoiding the authorities in their frenzied search to apprehend those responsible for bombing Vrael, though Leandros wasn’t exactly sore about the whole situation. It felt good to be back in his own armor and in friendly territory, though the venue for tonight’s celebration brought back some unpleasant memories. Still, things had changed significantly for the better since then, and he decided that it did not do well to dwell on the past.

Leandros walked in a bit after Raz, armored up sans helmet, and took in the sights. There were a few who he recognized and others he didn’t, but all were brothers and sisters in the fight against the Sith. He arrived just as a proposal went on and stomped his foot, shouting out a celebratory ”Oya!” for the newly-engaged couple. The last wedding he went to was fun, if a bit longwinded, and he hoped the next one would have less talking and more drinking, as all weddings ought to have. He grinned cheerily at those gathered as he made his way through the crowd, greeting each Mandalorian in kind, and headed for where it looked like free shots were being served from a serving droid.

He grabbed a shot for himself and raised it in a toast to nothing in particular, throwing it back and breathing sharply through his nose. Leandros set the glass down and looked over at Koil, offering a firm, friendly nod of the head. ”Oya, brother!” he said cheerfully, panning his gaze around the bar at the reveling Mandalorians. His eyes fell on Raz for a moment and he let them linger, his smile softening. He opened his mouth as if he was going to say something, then closed it for a moment before he letting out a simple, ”Hey there,” before sauntering over a little closer towards her, grabbing another two shots from the serving droid as he passed by. He offered the shot to Raz as he said, ”Feels nice being back on our own turf, doesn’t it?” He glanced around and looked at Koil, holding up his own shot in a celebratory toast, ”And we couldn’t have done it without your help,” he said to the other war councilman.

Around them, Mandalorians from all walks of life cheered and made merry, celebrating the death of yet another Sith Emperor. Things were looking up. They were home now, and it was time to get drunk.

One keg was over his right shoulder with the other hanging underneath his left arm. As he walked with a smile he called over to both of his verde (@Nommie @samdragon ). "That's funnay cooz I been seein more an more wolves round these days than a couple a years ago." He said refering to the Kelborn Clan's sigil. They were all wolves and he was glad to see more black and orange among the once predominately red and black of clan Solus. He was not charging Radth for his first drink since he was a clan mate, nor would he charge any of his own clan members though he was not about to announce that either. Chances were some of the other mando'ade would give him flak for it.

With a heavy thunk he set the kegs down and reconnected them to the taps. He poured himself a pint and drank it down almost immediatly, letting out a satisfied "ahh" foam from the head of the brew stuck around his chops and caused him to lick several times around his lips before finally getting it all. It was like getting to taste the beer twice.

When it became apparent that Brianna Saxon and Rayne Kelborn were getting engaged right before his eyes he began filling another glass in preperation. He hoped Brianna would say yes and once she did he raised it and let out a boastful howl. Both of them had a rather mixed path with the Alor but on principle he was happy to welcome Brianna into the family. The two had made it back from wild space after that korriban catastrophe after all. After they all settled down with cheers for the newly betrothed he let out a call to those all present. "Remembuh ta get yer raffel tickets now."

He was hoping to see more than just his own clan though. He saw Solone in the crowd and hoped she would come by the bar as well as perhaps seeing more of clan Wren. Varus had been a decent fellow and would not mind hanging with the burly guy. Though from what he remembered Wren and Saxon did not exactly mix well. While he did like keeping a clean bar he also somewhat wanted to see a fight break out. It was not a party until someone threw hands.

"It is a pleasure to meet you Shorwarr." He said cheerfully as the warrior shook the wookie's hand. He grabbed a glass that was full of something that is alcoholic. Lifting the drink to his lips.

Radth looked to the wookie after downing what his fourth drink already? The warrior lost count lf how many he had, "It is because there are very few of us Kelborn brother. Because of that it is rare to have so many of us in one place." He told his fellow Kelborn.

Then a thought came to his head. The Kelborn looked to the wookie, "Say. You wouldn't perhaps mind a wrestling match would you? I have always wanted to wrestle with a wookie." He will tell Shorwarr drunkily as the alcohol started getting to his head. Usually he was a bit calm and collected but right now he is a drunken fool, "I want to challenge you to a wrestling match. It will be fun!"

Then there came the server droid handing out another free drink, if Koil wasn't going to charge for the four he already drank, downing half of the beverage in a single gulp. Only adding to his stupid wrestling challenge. He had no idea just what he got himself into.

The Wookiee froze for a moment as that question came to his ears, and turned to look at Rath (@Nommie ). He gave the clearly drunk human a long look, like to see if it was worth it, and chuckled softly. "Are you sure about what you're asking, my friend? I hope you realize that I am WAY stronger than you?" he said in a joking, but also slightly concerned tone. The Wookiee was quite taller than Radth, and definitely way stronger, so it was pretty much obvious who would have been the winner...
