Kane sat in a little used courtyard of the Jedi temple on Jedha, waiting for someone he had not seen since they used this courtyard for their training.

He had been slipped a note saying to meet here, and he was very curious why he had been summoned. Knowing his former student it would either be something ridiculous or against the rules. Possibly both.

Stark-O stepped into the courtyard, spotting his old friend a mile away by his telltale hair and jacket. Not that he had much room to talk though, parading around in a pink flowery kimono and large bamboo hat. His hands concealed in his sleeves he made his way to the older Jedi, though the two of them were much closer in age than what seemed like the rest of the order.

He did his best to look as happy as he usually pretended to be, but today he wasn't fooling anyone. He had come to Jedha to seek council with his old mentor. He needed some guidance in how to proceed with what he was about to do.

Hey there Kane-sama. Long time no see. How have you been? He said as he finally got close enough to the man that he would hear him without him having to shout. Giving his old mentor a warm slap to the shoulder and holding it there for a brief moment as his other hand came out of his large sleeves and revealed a bottle of sake.

What do you say we stretch our legs? I don't much feel like sitting in the same spot we did for so many years. If we keep our feet here much longer, we might start to grow moss. He joked, then gestured towards the path leading out of the courtyard and to the outside of the temples grounds. He didn't want one of the council members, or even worse, the master of the order, to walk up on him while he was doing his best to drink his way to a solution for his dilemma. He shook the bottle a little to let kane know that's the reason he wanted to get away.

Kane looked up at the sound of a very familiar voice, one he had not heard for years now. He stood to meet his once-student and returned the friendly shoulder slap.

"That my old friend, is an excellent plan." he said, a smirk slowly spreading accross his face as he looked Stark-O up and down. "Good kriff you've gotten old." he laughed as they exited the courtyard.

"Though to tell you the truth I'm starting to feel like I might sprout moss at any moment these days." he added with a chuckle. He had worn his old jacket and other non-Jedi clothes today fir some reason. Though he usually wore the brown and tan robe and outfit of the order lately, today just felt different.

"How have you been keeping Stark-O? I haven't seen you since before Ilum and you seem troubled." he asked, his expression changing to one of concern.

He smiled as his mentor agreed. As they turned and walked he put his hands back inside his sleeves to conceal the sake till they were at least out of the courtyard. After that the sound of a cork being undone from a bottle could be heard slightly echoing around them and he winced slightly. He hadn't meant for it to be so loud.

Oyyee don't remind me, please. I have to look at this old face every morning. He said before taking a swig from the bottle and handing it to Kane. He shook his head slightly as he swallowed, forgetting how much that first one liked to burn, but it wasn't too bad.

I have been better. You know I keep to myself mostly. I've never been one of those temple Jedi. And you know about what happened with my apprentice. Well I guess you could say that's what's got me down in the dumps today. He and I had.. a.. reconciliation of sorts I suppose. He said, not divulging too much just yet. He wasn't sure how he wanted to present this to Kane so he figured he needed to take his time. He pulled his bamboo hat down a bit and continued walking along side his friend.

He's here. On Jedha. Currently knocked out and in a cargo box in his ship just over there. He told Kane, his left hand pointing to over the other side of the temple.

Figured before I did anything, might want to talk to you about it first. I was going to march him right on up to the council members and demand a trial on the spot, but I have a feeling they might get pretty sore about that. He said, only half joking about what he had said.

Kane took a deep swig from.the bottle and stifled a cough as he handed it back to his former student. "Brought the weak stuff huh?" he joked as they walked.

"And how the hell do ya think I feel? 'Least your hair is the same color as it was last time we spoke." he chuckled. He really did not mind aging, but the laughs were there to be had. And they were few and far between these days.

Then Stark-O told Kane about his apprentice. "Ahh. Never thought we'd here from him again after he left. I had followed your training of him intently and was quite proud of you. I should have come to you after he fell. I am sorry for failing you."

Kabe knew the council would not be pleased with Stark-O for keeping Vaax's capture a secret from them, not if did it for too long anyway. He stroked his beard as he considered what they should do.
