NAME: Drom Rekkin

FACTION: Independent

SPECIES: Zabrak

AGE: 27

GENDER: Male

FORCE SENSITIVE: No

APPEARANCE:

Drom reaches the 6 foot mark with the inclusion of the vestigial horns that crown the top of his head. He is well built, all the muscles on his frame have moderate bulk as if they have seen physical labor but lack strong definition. His skin color is primarily tan with darker patches on his forehead and cheeks. His near-black facial tattoos accentuate the sharpness of his brow and jaw. Depending on the lighting, his dark brown eyes are barely discernible from the shadow that his brow creates.

In most settings, he will wear dark colored form fitting shirts and equally dark colored worn trousers. .He will either adorn a dark gray duster or black bomber jacket.

ATTRIBUTES:

Str - 7/10 - Has enough strength to lug heavy equipment around his workshop

Dex - 7/10 - dextrous enough to work with hi-tech items, strong fine motor skills, athletics are average

Con - 6/10 - nothing special, tad higher resistance to physical pain due to Zabrak characteristics (two hearts)

End - 6/10 - is able to work for long hours in less than comfortable surroundings

Int - 8/10 - well versed with weapon and armor tech, knowledgeable in general electronics

Wis - 4/10 - living a sheltered life as smithy afforded little time outside the workshop, may be aloof at times and lost in thought about work

Cha - 5/10 - misses on some social cues, but has basic bargaining skills as most social interaction is with customers

PERSONALITY:

Drom holds dear to two things in his life: family and his work. With his parents being imprisoned, he is very protective of his younger brother Val Rekkin. He tries to watch out for him as best as he can though he is aware that Val’s actions usually end him up on the wrong side of the law.

His work is his escape and passion. Contract or not, Drom will spend hours in his workshop tinkering and perfecting his craft. He takes pride in his work will never sell anything less than perfect. While working, he may ignore others unintentionally. Only his mech droid OEM-3 can keep up with his train of thought. Customers are generally pleased with his mods or repairs to their equipment and offer a bonus, however he always refuses. The phrase ‘there ain’t no such thing as free creds’ was one instilled to him as a child.

Rarely is he ever in a social setting outside his workshop. If he is, he comes off as reserved or shy. It is hard for him to make small talk as he never practiced that skill as a child and will often miss out on different social cues. However if someone were to show interest or engage him in talk about his work he would be able to go on for hours.

BIOGRAPHY:

Drom was born in Iridonia to Kaffe and Renkt Rekkin, four years later he had a younger brother named Val. They were one of ten families that made up the Rekkin clan. At a very early age he showed a proclivity to electronics. His father Renkt, being an engineer, taught him as much as he could. The two crouched over their home workstation was a common sight in the household.

The Rekkin clan along with other clans were unhappy with their overlords on Iridonia. Discontent soon turned to unrest once tribute rates were raised in their sector. An insurgency began to grow, of which both Drom’s parents became heavily involved in. His father began to supply the insurgents with modified weapons to aid the fighters in achieving the goals. His mother took to crafting a designer type of spice made from an indigenous plant of Iridonia. She would sell the drug to raise funds for their movement.

The insurgency lasted into his late teens until a highly specialized team of government operatives were able to make key arrests. Drom’s parents were few of the first to be apprehended. Instructions were passed along from prison to Drom and his brother. They were able to recover their parents life savings and fled the system. They headed to Nar Shaddaa.

Both brothers began to use what their parents had taught them to survive on the moon. Drom took on a two year apprenticeship to a weaponsmith before striking out on his own after he had saved up enough. With help from his brother, he opened up a small workshop called Rekkin Repairs. He has now just built enough clout for a few customers that come in looking for modifications and repairs on their equipment. He hopes to one day have saved enough to hire a team to free his parents from prison and see his family reunited.

Edited to link some of his possessions. Let me know if the other workshop tools need tech write ups.

Hey @Rekkin! Your link to Rekkin Repairs is broken and your droid is not linked.

Cool character though. Tag me once you've fixed what I pointed out and I'll review your profile again.
