Malastare/M.G. Fuel Refinery "Base Alpha"
19:38 local time
It had been a day since the attack on the landing zone. The Mining Guild's landing went without a hitch the entire time and, while a few scouts were killed off, no Dug attacks were reported in whatsoever.
This gave the force more than enough time to get things in order. The unloading of the ships was underway. Scanners were looking deep into the ground for veins to tap into with the pumps. The Logos was lifted out the ground and its landing gear repaired. Now it was sitting properly and a crew was working on the damage done to the Cutter.
While that was underway, Mid was on the bridge of the Mining Guild Celtic-3 M&M heavy freighter arguing with the governor of Malastare. Dugs with weapons and gear used by Malastare's military was likely to raise a few eyebrows, so assuming that this was conspiracy to indirectly chase the Guild off the planet was certainly within the realm of possibilities.
"Look, we were attacked by Dugs carrying your weapons! My ship was shot out of the air and my crew injured by your missiles. Is it really that crazy to suspect you first?!" he shouted at the holographic image of the governor, who looked just as angry as Mid did. "I've told you twice by now that we have no reason to chase the Mining Guild off. Our economy grows from this partnership!" the stocky Dug's voice boomed through the speaker, distorting somewhat as he shouted.
Mid's golden eyes stared daggers through the Dug's image. "Then what? Who are these terrorists?" the Pureblood fired right back, folding his arms across his armoured chest. "As soon as I heard of your attack I've have my army look for anything out of the ordinary. They're a group of hard-headed radicals that believe this alliance would only cripple our planet. We have identified the leadership and they are in custody. We...persuaded them to hand over the location of their base as well as their numbers. Lucky for you that group you faced was almost the entirety of their group. Rather amusing if you think about it." the governor explained, finishing with a rather sinister chuckle.
"I would have my own army take care of them and save you the trouble...but as a gesture of good faith I'd rather leave that deed to you, Sith. Would that ease your mind of this conspiracy of yours?" he offered, picking up a datapad and tapping a few buttons. Mid eyed him for a while before speaking up. "Sounds like a plan." he said flatly. The Dug gave a nod and with a press of a button a notification popped up on the console with a location as well as various other details.
With that they ended the transmission and Mid looked the details over, stroking his chin spurs in thought. "What's your thoughts? Think he's telling the truth? Or simply trying to lure us into a trap?" he asked his companion next to him with a smirk, looking down at her.
