Dunlakta is an exile from the Jedi Order not because he believes in the use of dark side powers but because he grew tired after 117 years and felt retirement was appropriate. He had outlived two generations of his human compatriots. He does not believe that simply because you are a Jedi you should have to have to spend a half a millennia or more doing the bidding of the Order. So came the day when he was sent to hunt down another Jedi and he decided just to not return. Three years ago He hired himself on with a free trader and scavenger as a crewman and after only a short time he found himself the only survivor and thereby the owner of the ship. The Deep Core a TR -140 and it's droids
Dunlatka had spent nearly a century as an enforcer, soldier and when necessary a miner for the Order. Due to his inability to speak any other language without the use of an interpreter Dunlakta made a poor negotiator.
Dunlatka is unique in the fact that he has an Eidetic memory with total recall, he has spent a large amount of time learning aspects of mining and structural engineering. He is also very adept at mining all sorts of information and While he has massive amounts of information at his disposal he has little practical experience. He has learned over the years that knowing how to do something is not the same as knowing when or why to do something.
Dunlatka will never willingly enter large social events, there are just too many people to keep track of and his need to depend on his translator droid to speak for him embarrasses him. He does ok in small social settings or when with other Wookies. He grew so tired during the war that he has no interest in hunting his brethren for the order. He has spent the last three years building and repairing droids, and finds he enjoys building things, with no preference as to what. He has become adept at scavenging old battlefields for usable equipment. Since he was at many of those battle fields he already knows where to look.
Dunlakta will freely admit that he never particularly stood out in the order nor was he ever interested in leadership but was however a very good soldier. He has no true friends most of them having died over the years and is pretty sure he is only a name on a roster the last time he walked through the temple nearly 10 years ago he recognized and was recognized by absolutely no one.
His Eidetic memory makes learning things easy but possibly the greatest thing he has learned is
Practice does not make perfect, practice makes permanent,
only Perfect Practice makes Perfect.
As part of his training in Healing he studied the anatomy and physiology of every known species and his memory allows him to instantly recall that information for use in the field.
His ability with telekinesis is significant he can effect large objects and finesse small and delicate objects as well, he is however limited to the number of items he can effect at one time. He finds he is particularly effective at yanking weapons from hands or causing them to point another target while firing.
His ability with energy manipulation is significant, he can deflect a blaster bolt or even catch a light saber by the blade with his hands.
While young Dunlakta downloaded several Juyo sabre Masters performing forms, when by his racial tendencies he realized that he was particularly suited to that Form. He did an analysis of the minute difference between the masters then made the small adaptations he discerned were necessary to accommodate his physique. He practices this form every morning, first empty handed, then statically with his vibro blade, one handed, then two handed. then one handed with a light saber then two handed with a light sabre. His final practice being fully fluid and dynamic. He has compared each of the other saber forms to Juyo and has developed effective counters to the strengths of each one. He has begun the study of the Shien sabre form due to the need to deflect blaster bolts but will admit he does not give it the near religious dedication he gives to Juyo and his own developed counters.
Dunlakta has absolutely no restraint or mercy for anyone he sees as an enemy. He also believes that the enemy of my ally is my enemy and is due no mercy. He has no problem using any weapon available to get the job done. He hates slavery and will go out of his way to free slaves, if killing the slaver or owner is necessary to do so, so be it.
During a recent mining and prospecting survey run through Vrogas Vas He had been attacked by a Pirate (A captain Rikers in The Bandu Pirate Bravebird) Fortunately the entire incident had been observed and recorded by a Jedi Alphonse Carraway. Due to those recordings The insurance company had paid off for both his ship as well as his high credit value rare mineral cargo that he had reported as lost. The Jedi wanting to develop the mines in the asteroid field had purchased his 30 Claims that had been marked by his droids in the hours he waited in his escape pod for a rescue ship to pick them up for 15% of the estimated values. Between the bounties on the pirate ship, its crew and the insurance pay off. Dunlakta had been able to purchase a brand new Fathier class light freighter complete with upgraded medium military grade shields and generator system. He named the ship Void Prospector. Now he just had to wait for the Jedi to payoff the claims registered in the name of Deep Core Mining.
