The EBF has a small screen on the side, allowing for the user to change the amount of power used for welding. If the dial is turned up to full power, the welder will function as a short-range, light blaster pistol for two shots on a full power pack. The main body of the blaster is durasteel, only using cortosis weave for the barrel/nozzle for welding.

LEGALITY
Legal in all systems and most commonly found on mechanics of large ships.

INTENT
The intent of this was to provide a useful, but effective sidearm for engineers and mechanics of ships to use should their ship be taken and they cannot reach the armory.

While I like the idea of tools that can also be used as weapons (see the Versatech Cosmowrench) I don't think this is the best way to go about it. Making an industrial tool that is also intentionally engineered as a weapon is wildly impractical and unsafe. It's also not very star warsy, in form or function.

If you wanted to do something like this, I would maybe go with a laser welder or something who's highest power setting can act as a short range light blaster.

That was actually kind of what I was going for, but I couldn't think of how to phrase it that way nor could I find any other picture of what I wanted it to look like. I'll make the edits to it ASAP. Thank you.

Yeah, I’ve been kinda busy the past few days. I’ll hopefully get to it this weekend.

@Phantom, still planning on making those edits? The weekend has been and gone, and I'd rather not keep submissions taking up space here if they've been abandoned.

I am so sorry, this totally slipped my mind over the weekend. I have some free time coming up today. I’ll finish the edits then, promise.
