There was a lot of pouting when Trael walked over to hug Azar. The Pureblood looked grumpy and simply stood there without hugging back. However, his expression softened when Trael kissed him on the cheek and thanked him, “Hmph,” Was the only pouty response to the gratitude, but it was clear he was just putting up an act at this point.

He gazed in surprise when Trael tilted his face up to inspect it, blinking rapidly. His face took on a purple tint when Trael looked right at him and said he was beautiful, his heart racing rapidly. Whatever pout was there vanished instantly. For once he was at a loss for words, only staring at Trael in silence. Fortunately the other man closed the distance for a kiss and Azar eagerly returned it. He drew back and smiled at Trael, placing a hand against the side of his face, “I can have dragon shit on my face and you’ll still make me feel beautiful,” He said with a tender smile, his fingers gently brushing along that beard he loved so much.

Azar was in better spirits even with the storm brewing. In fact, he didn’t even notice Trael gently telling him that his choice of tent location was hot garbage. He walked around and helped pitch it, though with a lot of cursing in ur-kittat and general confusion. However, at the end of it, the tent was up and right on time as the storm began to get worse.

Azar climbed in quickly but realized Trael was still standing outside. He drew out of the tent and stared at Trael in confusion as he simply embraced the rain, “What’re you doing, you dork?” He asked with a chuckle before he walked towards Trael, also getting drenched.

He dramatically threw his arms around Trael's neck, leaning up to kiss him in the rain just like in the sappy Holomovies he liked to watch, complete with sticking a leg up behind him. He giggled as he drew back, gazing fondly at Trael as his hair was matted to his face from the rain, “All that work and injury for the stupid tent..” Azar started laughing again, completely and utterly soaked.

Trael wasn’t bothered by the pouty Azar as he hugged him and tried consoling him. He kissed Azar on the cheek and made sure to thank him and got a simple ‘hmph’ in response. He had a feeling it was act as the Purebloods face had soften significantly.

He gazed down at Azar as he inspected his face. He leaned in and kissed him after the compliment savoring the taste of Azar before they pulled apart. He felt Azar’s hand on the side of his face drawing out a genuine smile, “That’s because you still would be.” He said softly, “Once you wash it off anyways.” He teased as Azar brushed his beard giving Trael the sense of warmth he always felt in the tender moments.

Though he heard Azar cursing in Ur-Kittat he was happy to have him helping. Even if it took a bit of extra effort to teach Azar rather than do it all himself. He’d rather take longer and have a memory with his boyfriend than do something the easy way. Together they got the tent up and ready as the storm started to get bad.

Trael had grown up loving the rain. He felt an odd sense of peace and safety in its embrace. Even now as a different man it still instilled the same sense. It was a remnant of his past, the fear of burning like his family. Rain was capable of putting out fires and washing away the ashes it left behind. He was drawn out of gazing upwards by Azar’s remark his gaze lowering to him affectionately.

Azar threw his arms around Trael before leaning up and kissing him. Trael wrapped his arms around Azar as he did. When Azar pulled back and his hair was matting on his face Trael brushed it to the side with an affectionate smile. Azar quipped about the tent before laughing still embracing Trael. He gazed down at him his eyes full of affection, “I love you.” He said gazing fondly at Azar, before leaning in for another kiss. He pulled back and looked up at the still raining sky, “Maybe we should get inside the tent.” He playfully said with a slight chuckle as he grabbed Azar’s hand and walked with him into the tent.

The rain felt surprisingly good against the heat of the planet, though the humidity did no favors for his hair. Azar let it go, simply focusing on Trael as they embraced in the rain. It was just the kind of sappy romantic stuff he craved. He stared at Trael, still smiling brightly as they were both soaked and drenched. Trael said nothing for a moment, simply staring at Azar. The Pureblood was about to ask about it when he uttered the next words. They flowed so easily from his lips and yet it was as if Azar had been tossed up into the clouds and past the hazy atmosphere of the planet.

He said nothing at first, caught in the breathless moment as he stared in stunned silence, just getting further soaked by the rain. It was a tidal wave of emotions all at once, his mind spiraling back to the very first time they met and didn’t even register one another. He thought of how they were two ships passing in the night, all the various socials where they appeared but never noticed one another. He thought of Nar Shaddaa and that very first time. He thought of the tumultuous storm that was Trael struggling with his sexuality. He thought of the times Trael ran from him. He thought of the times Trael chased after him. But through it all, Trael found his path regardless of how many pitfalls. Azar gazed into Trael’s eyes and didn’t see an ounce of fear or doubt when he said those words, and that meant more to him than the words themselves.

“I love you too..” Azar whispered back, admitting the feelings he had been wary about since that ridiculous report. He kissed Trael as if for the first time, lingering there and savoring it, “You make me happy…make me whole..and you anchor me when the galaxy threatens to tear me away from my humanity,” Azar admitted, “I…feel vulnerable and powerful at the same time with you, baby,” He whispered, “But I’m not afraid of it anymore. I’m not afraid to be in love with you or falling into that pit,” He added with a faint smile at the reference back to the conversation on Trael’s ship on Nar Hutta.

Azar was still smiling when Trael tugged them back inside the tent, both of them soaked. He quickly took out a few towels, drying Trael off first before he tended to himself. He took his wet clothes off, pulling on some simple sweatpants, not bothering with a shirt. He unrolled the bedrolls, the storms picking up outside as the sides of the tent flapped from the wind. Azar only hoped the storm would be enough to deter the dragon from coming back to have a snack.

The pureblood tugged Trael to lie down beside him, turning to face him. Azar lazily draped a leg around Trael’s hip while he gazed at him, “So now that you’ve had some time to…reflect..” He said as a polite reference to his prison time, “What kind of man do you want to be going forward? What things are you keeping..and what are you leaving behind?” Azar asked as he gazed at Trael. They were lying close and intimate, and yet it was more tender than it was sexual right then.

Trael had said he loved Azar with a surety that honestly surprised even him. When he was first falling for the Pureblood he was racked by fear and insecurity. He had admitted as much to Azar on that day in his ship. He used to be terrified at the hold Azar had on him and the ease at which he could wound him if he wanted too. To say it had all disappeared over his stint in prison would be a lie. But once him and Azar were reunited he realized that Azar was worth all the pain and risk that came with giving in to his feelings fully. The fear, anxiety and insecurity had all been washed away at that acceptance. All that was left was the fact that he was going to simply going to give Azar his heart and trust he would take care of it.

“I love you too…” Those words made Traels entire world spiral. Trael wasn’t prepared to hear Azar so readily match his sentiment. It made his heart skip multiple beats and his face turn slightly red. He didn’t have time to fully spiral as Azar kissed him and overwhelmed him with a whole new rush of emotion. It was different from their previous kisses, it felt like it was their first even though it wasn’t.

He gazed at Azar as he began telling Trael how he made him feel. His heart fluttering as he listened. “You gave me a sense of purpose after I felt I lost mine. You make me happy even when I’m covered in dragon shit or climbing a million stairs. And whenever I fall your memory helps me get up and continue fighting.” He explained, “I’ll gladly fall into every pit for you, baby.” He replied with a smile.

Trael stared in stunned silence when Azar dried him off first. As Azar dried himself off Trael took off his wet clothes and threw on a pair of gym shorts. He tried helping Azar unroll the bedrolls but stopped when the Pureblood protested that he could do it himself. Azar pulled Trael to lay down with him to little resistance. Trael wrapped his arm around Azar as he put his leg over him.

He gazed down at Azar as he asked him what he did to change and would continue doing. He thought for a second as he tried to imagine himself in the future and how he’d like to see it, “I want to be the kind of man that forges a path others would be proud to follow.” He stated after a bit of thought, “I want to keep my humanity first and foremost, I still don’t want to lose myself to the darkness though I fear it may be an eventuality. I also want to keep my ability to bounce back from any blow and not allow it to dishearten me.” He mused, “I want to leave behind my overly trusting nature and desire to please everyone. I sought validation from others that I lacked in myself.” He concluded as he gazed down at Azar resting in his chest. He pulled him tight against him as he leaned down to steal a kiss. “Am I living up to my goals?” He asked him curiously, the only person whose opinion he truly cared for was Azars and he wanted to know what he thought.

Azar listened quietly as Trael spoke, actually enjoying the sound of the rain pelting the side of the tent while they cuddled inside it. He idly traced his fingers along Trael’s chest while they lay together, pondering the bits about keeping humanity. It was a fear Azar himself had sometimes, one he had trouble admitting. He thought back to years ago when he was lying in the plane of the Force in a manufactured world on a bed of leaves next to Zorya. He thought of the ways he cautioned her against her ambitions, the same ones that ultimately saw her downfall. He had to remind himself of the same - not to fly too close to the sun.

He smiled at Trael at his question, “Only you can decide that, love,” Azar whispered back, “No one else sets the benchmark of your worth but you, baby. You cannot control how others see you, nor should you try. But you should stick to your principles and values and those that remain with you through it are the ones worth keeping around,” Azar said as he slid his hand up to trace along Trael’s beard.

“I saw in you a man I knew I could love well before you were prepared to meet him,” Azar admitted, “Because I saw a man that never wavered on his principles. If you change, it is because you make your mistakes, you take accountability and you change for you. Not because anyone else asked it of you,” Azar explained, “So you have been living up to my goals for a long time,” He smiled before he leaned over to kiss him on the forehead, “The last remaining critic is you.”

He exhaled as he pressed his face against Trael’s chest, hiding it briefly, “What does a perfect life look like for you?” Azar asked as a quiet mumble, snuggling close against Trael.

Trael laid there running his fingers along Azar’s back as the Pureblood answered his question. He set the benchmark of his own worth, those words were true. Only Trael could determine his worth and act upon it. He gazed down and smiled at Azar, “Well the only person worth it is here in my arms.” He stated as he felt Azar begin to trace along his beard. It was a familiar affectionate display that only Azar could do.

He gazed down at Azar fondly, “I doubt that was the case on Shaddaa.” He said softly chuckling, “Once you caught my eye it was over. I had fallen for you before I could even realize it.” He mused aloud, “I might be the last critic, but you are the person I listen to the most.” He said with a soft smile. Everything Azar had told him was the truth. Trael had to focus on doing what made him feel happy and accomplished not just doing what he feels is his duty.

Trael was enjoying the peacefulness of lying here with Azar. The pattering of the rain, the soft sounds of wind, the warmth and affection of Azar laying on him. It was everything he needed and wanted. So when Azar asked his question Trael didn’t need to stop and think, “This, you and me enjoying each other’s company with the cares of the galaxy nothing but a distant thought.” He muttered, his expression changing to one of joy as he thought of a peaceful life with Azar, them a couple of kids, wait kids means mini Azars, he shuddered internally at the thought of that headache. His face turned solemn, “But with our designs and ambitions I doubt that will become a reality.” He said with a sigh, “What’s your perfect life?” He couldn’t help but ask Azar the same question.

Azar smiled as Trael reminded him of how much he mattered to him, the sentiment invoking all sorts of warm and fuzzies in him. The memory of Nar Shadda always made him giggle and he could vividly recall Trael’s stunned expression during the dance while wearing the ridiculously tight pink pants. He snuggled close against the other man, relishing the tender ways Trael’s hand traced over his back. Azar was finding it hard to stay awake, the sound of the rhythmic rain almost lulling him to sleep.

He sighed softly when Trael mentioned his doubts on his vision becoming a reality, “My life is one where I control as many variables as I can,” Azar admitted, “Where I can decide to steal away with you at any given moment just because I can. Where I can decide how a planet is run. A world where my family has access to the absolute best of the best and a sense of protection and security,” Azar said quietly as he gazed at Trael, tightly hugging him with his leg around a hip.

Azar didn’t mind envisioning that life - a life where he had many children, some which would no doubt have mixed blood. Being out in the wider galaxy allowed him to see the benefits of moving far away from the ancient practices of pureblood breeding that only allowed deformities to carry through. However, he did not vocalize thoughts of children or a lifetime with Trael - marriage was a scary concept to most men and they had just formalized their relationship.

He stifled a yawn and looked up at Trael, “All right, big man, I don’t think you’ve ever been the little spoon,” He teased as he nudged for Trael to turn around. Once he did, Azar hugged him tightly with an arm and leg, using him as a warm, snuggly oversized body pillow. The Pureblood kissed softly against the back of Trael’s tattooed shoulder, “I love you,” He whispered quietly before drifting off to sleep.

The storms stopped by the next morning and Trael was witness to Azar’s awful sleeping habits. The Pureblood managed to turn himself around counterclockwise, constantly shoving Trael against the opposite edge of the tent and being a general nuisance. By the time the sun was up, Azar’s head was by the tent flap opening and his legs faced the back of the tent by the pillows. Naturally, he was sprawled and draped across Trael, one of his perfectly manicured and moisturized feet pressed against the underside of Trael’s jaw somehow. Azar was delightfully oblivious, happily snoring away quietly while taking up all the room.

Trael laid there quietly gazing at Azar as he spoke. He listened and pondered as Azar described his ideal life. Trael had a soft smile on his face as he listened. Azar wanted to have as much control over what happened in his life as possible. Trael began to think on his ideal life. Was it too simple of a life for a Sith? Should he strive for more than just being able to settle down with Azar eventually? He doubted the quiet peaceful life was possible, so should he instead dream of one where no one could threaten his peace? He felt Azar tightly hug him and drew him back, "That sounds wonderful, babe." He whispered, fighting back sleep.

Azar yawned and looked up a Trael causing an eye brow raise from the Human. "I hav.." He was cut off by Azar nudging him to roll over to which he obliged. Azar wrapped an arm and leg around him, hugging him tightly. Trael felt loved, and oddly giddy at this. He actually liked how this made him feel. It was warm, loving, and gave him a sense of safety. He felt a rush of goosebumps as Azar lightly kissed his shoulder, "I love you too." He whispered back before he drifted away.

Trael had moved more this night than he had in a long time. By morning time he was pressed against the wall of the tent with a corner of the cover resting on his legs. The rest of it was wrapped around Azar as the Pureblood sprawled out taking all the available room. Trael woke up with a strong lavender smell hitting his nose. He then noticed the perfectly manicured toes of Azar peeking out from under his chin. He looked down to see Azar sprawled out a slight sigh escaping him. He sat there for a bit staring at the ceiling of the tent, knowing that if he tried to get himself free he'd wake up Azar.

He laid there bidding his time. The moment Azar rolled off him to begin moving he freed himself and got on his feet. He tried to make his way slowly and stealthily out the tent. Yet as he opened the door and went to walk out he tripped on the flap of plastic sticking up. The entire tent rocked and Trael fell flat on his face. He laid there in the mud, knowing Azar would be awake, awaiting the Purebloods outburst.

Not only did Trael have to deal with Azar moving around, but there were added complications. As an insanely powerful Force user, not only did Azar mumble sometimes in ur-Kittat, but various little uses of the Force traveled between his fingers. This was in the form of tiny little jolts of electricity weaving into pyro to the tips of his fingers forming into ice and then back to normal. Fortunately, because they were facing opposite sides of the bedding, Trael was spared from getting randomly shocked.

Azar continued to sleep, delightfully oblivious to Trael lying awake plotting his escape. Eventually he rolled over and allowed the other man plenty of room to get out. Unfortunately, Trael’s exit strategy came crashing down in the form of his giant form almost taking the entire tent down with him. Azar sat up abruptly, electricity dancing between his fingers as his eyes burned with rage. Fortunately, he was not as impulsive as he was as an acolyte, and he instead assessed the situation.

He rubbed his eyes, slowly emerging from the tent to find Trael sprawled on the ground and in mud. Azar blinked in confusion before gasping, “Of course! He exclaimed as he clapped his hands together, “What an incredible idea, baby!” He said excitedly, sitting down next to him. He took some of the mud and applied it to his own face and skin, also smearing some more on Trael, “A mud bath to exfoliate the skin first thing in the morning is such a brilliant idea. Honey, why didn’t you just wake me up for it? You know I’m all about spa practices. I’m so glad you take such good care of your skin,” He said happily as he spread a thick glob of mud all over Trael’s back, “We can keep the mud on for a bit and then go rinse off in the springs,” Azar said eagerly, his own face and body also covered in mud.

The two would sit there covered in mud for at least 15 minutes before Azar suggested they return to the springs to rinse off. After they washed off, Azar finally got dressed for the day after wasting time doing his morning grooming routine. This time he wore practical clothing that he didn’t remember packing (Trael’s doing) but was pleased to find. His stomach growled as they packed up the tent, “Babyyyyy, do we have anything to eat?” He complained.

Trael just laid in the mud silently. He was keeping his annoyance and anger subsided. He was doing fine with it as he picked his head up to get his face out of the mud. Then he heard it, Azar saying he had an incredible idea. Trael was absolutely puzzled as he turned his head to see Azar sitting next to him. He watched as Azar out the mud on himself bewildered. A mud bath? A MUD BATH? He thinks I’m taking a mud bath. He had to close his eyes and breathe to keep himself calm. Not from Azar’s antics but the fact he was now being tortured unknowingly by Azar literally rubbing it in. “That sounds great, honey.” He said defeated as Azar mentioned leaving the mud on.

He would look like he was doing breathing exercises as he sat covered in mud for 15 minutes after falling in it. So when Azar suggested it was time to wash off Trael was more than happy to get into the spring water. He rinsed himself off eagerly, moving to help Azar if he wasn’t finished before Trael was. Trael was already dressed and ready to go while Azar was still doing his routine. Trael went around gathering the loose stuff and packing it. He also completely reorganized the bag now that he *knew* Azar had extra stuff.

When Azar had finished getting ready they began packing the tent up. Trael was rolling it up and getting it ready to go in the bag when Azar asked for food. Trael’s face was its normal self with no indication of his emotions. Meanwhile in his mind it was utter chaos as he scrambled to think of something to feed Azar. “It’s safe to assume snacks aren’t what you’re looking for, right?” He asked sheepishly. In truth Trael only packed with the expectation that it would only be a day trip, or that they’d be close to getting back when they camped. Not that they would be on day 2 and have no knowledge of the beast or where it lairs.

He pulled out a variety of snacks and offered them to Azar, “Eat these to hold you over, I’m sure there’s something to eat on this planet.” He remembered reading about some kind of rabbit that inhabited the planet. He would just need to pray that he saw one before Azar ate through all the snacks. Barring any Azar stoppages he would lead the way towards the dreaded path humming a song before they got to it, “If you wouldn’t mind could you teleport us past the plank pathway?” He asked not wanting to risk a repeat of the last time.

Azar was delightfully oblivious to Trael’s fuming, mainly because his face was covered in mud. He was also impressed that Trael was fully embracing yoga and spa practices with his deep breathing. In fact, Azar also took deep breaths and emulated the techniques, completely missing the fact that Trael was doing it to keep from throwing himself over the cliff.

Once Trael asked if snacks would do, Azar gave him a scandalized look, “Excuse me?” He asked icily. Did Trael really think Azar would be satisfied with snacks for breakfast? He was used to a multi-course meal in the mornings with tea and luncheon later, “You did pack for afternoon tea, yes?” Azar asked, “And supper?” He continued as he nibbled on the Traelmix. He loved Traelmix so he blazed right through them within moments.

Azar listened as Trael hummed a song, finding it pleasing to the ears, “What is that song?” He asked curiously. Trael had a surprisingly good singing voice, and it sounded especially rich with a baritone. Azar could get used to that.

They hiked a bit further but Trael would notice that Azar was oddly quiet. The cheerful demeanor was replaced with the cold, calculated steps of the Sith Lord once more. Azar moved with a practiced gait, laser focused on a path as if a predator stalking a prey.

“Stay behind me,” Azar stated curtly to Trael, even the tone of his voice suddenly icy and changed from the whiny queen energy.

Without warning, a barrage of bolts came their way from a distance. However, all six of them abruptly stalled out in the air just a few feet ahead of Azar and Trael. The Pureblood hadn’t even bothered raising a hand, gazing past the bolts towards the now panicked figures over the horizon. With a simple jut of his chin the bolts were sent right back from whence they came. There were a few small explosions and a few figures screamed, but some survived. Azar didn’t chase after them, walking as if he was on a casual stroll as he moved towards them. It wasn’t surprising that others were out here seeking the prize, but they were now dealing with a hangry Azar.

Trael was doing the deep breathing to calm himself down. It was working rather well until Azar sat down next to him and begin to mimic him. At first he was slowly losing his cool again. Then he started to remind himself Azar didn’t know of his anger. This reminder was compounded by the way he reacted to Trael falling in the mud and Azar thinking it was a mud bath. This helped him calm down as he smiled a bit thinking of how silly they probably looked spreading mud on themselves.

When he offered the snacks, which were the only food he had packed, to Azar the Pureblood did not seem too pleased. Azar eventually took some snacks before asking about afternoon tea and supper, “Of couurse I packed afternoon tea and supper. You think I wasn’t prepared?” He said very unconvincingly. Luckily the Traelmix would, oh he finished it quickly. Trael was quickly realizing how much of a time crunch he was on.

When Azar asked him about the song he was humming he smiled, “It’s from a movie. The Tibboh. It’s one of my favorite songs from it.” He said as he remembered a handful of songs from the series that he enjoyed. “Maybe we could watch the whole series on day?” He suggested as they hiked along the path.

Trael noticed that the further the got Azar began to once again slink back into his Sith ways. It made him slightly on edge as he hadn’t noticed anything out of the ordinary. He quirked an eyebrow when Azar practically ordered him to stay behind him, “I’m not going to hide behind you. Even if you are leagues stronger than me.” He replied sternly, he knew he was a match to Azars fire currently, but he still wasn’t going to use that as a crutch.

They were quickly intercepted by a barrage of bolts which suddenly froze in front of them. Trael scanned where they came from as Azar sent the back. The flames from the explosions moved and formed into one, forming into a vortex that caused more explosions in the camp. The yellow cracks in Trael’s eyes were glowing as he manipulated the flames to his whims and caused additional havoc in the camp. This would be a display of power he hadn’t shown in the force. The vortex dissipated as Trael blinked and refocused on Azar.

As him and Azar made their way up the hill towards the makeshift base they could hear screams of people injured from either the flames or initial blaster return. Trael was a swirling vortex of anger now that someone had endangered Azar by attacking him. So as they crested the hill and a couple poachers pointed blasters at them Trael dashed forward choking one with the Force as he stabbed the other with a Vibroknife. He floated the one to Azar holding him before the Pureblood, “I think you have something to say to him. Also you might want to relay any information on this dragon.” He hissed as the poacher gasped for air.

Azar glared as Trael declared he wouldn’t hide behind him even if he was leagues stronger, “That’s exactly why you should get behind me,” He hissed back through gritted teeth, but Trael wasn’t listening. Azar couldn’t tell who infuriated him more - his boyfriend or the people shooting at them. He had half a mind to let Trael get shot somewhere to prove a point, his evil Sithy ways creeping in. However, his love for the man overruled all of that by a long shot and he moodily followed along to engage.

They stormed the camp and Trael’s intense pyrokinesis was already powering through the tents and makeshift set up they had. Azar amplified the fire, the flames suddenly taking on a gooey texture that began to explode on contact. People tried to use water on it and it only made it worse, Azar molding Trael’s fire into something devastating.

There were groups of people that rushed over to engage them, hunters from various planets that all came to collect a dragon egg worth millions in the black market. Azar glanced over at Trael several feet across from him, “Why don’t you ever listen?” He argued as he lifted the bodies of several screaming guards into the air. There was a sick crunch as their bones caved in as if Azar casually crushed a can of soda in his hand, “If I’m asking you to get behind me, it’s because I’m worried about you,” Azar huffed as the dead bodies fell unceremoniously to the ground. He coiled the Force around a man that was sneaking up behind Trael, throwing him clear off the cliff.

Trael would have his own series of attackers to deal with while Azar fought right alongside him, both men sweeping through the camp. The Pureblood used Tutaminis to catch a rather impressive sword likely made from a dragon fang someone swung at him a few inches away from his face. He grabbed the blade by the hilt, using his other hand to slam into the man’s chest and cave it in.

“Being so brash is what got you into prison in the first place, babe,” Azar called out as he tossed the blade over to Trael so he could dual-wield and become a dervish through the swaths of attackers coming at them. The Pureblood delved into the mind of the poacher Trael floated at him, counting on his man to keep the others busy while he extracted thoughts. He got what he needed, leaving the man an empty husk by the time he was done.

As he fought side by side with Trael, he began to rethink the idea of telling Trael to keep back. He was right next to him, just as a partner would be. Through their tender moments and now in the heat of battle, he was right there. Azar didn’t need to help him, but they worked as a team to cut through the ranks. Their enemies began to scatter and resort to ranged weapons and Azar conjured the Force across where he could see a few gathering behind a blaster turret, “Use your fire there, NOW!” Azar called out to Trael. If he did, he would realize Azar joined him in the Force to rain fire on them as if meteors were crashing into the earth. The fire balls would explode upon impact, obliterating everything within a wide radius.

After a moment there was nothing but smoke, ash and silence. Azar surveyed the ruins of the camp, glancing briefly over at Trael who was covered in the blood of his enemies standing amidst charred corpses. Azar had never wanted to fuck Trael more than he did just now. But it’d have to wait, “Come on, this is the path to the nexus,” Azar said urgently as he started jogging towards an incline that led to a cave system. He had an uneasy feeling because they were entering territory where the enemy had the advantage. No one was out in the open and they could be attacked from any side. A bunch of the hunters had retreated through here and who knew how many were still waiting.

“Our suspicions were correct,” Azar whispered to Trael, “The dragon has been sighted repeatedly around the nexus. It is empowered by it. I…don’t believe engaging it is a good idea,” He admitted, “I think we should steal an egg and make a break for it. Maybe all the explosions will have lured it away from the nest.”

Trael didn’t respond to Azars statement of why he should hide behind him. He simply shrugged as he continued on his path up the mountain his mind focused on taking care of that thorn. He didn’t care for why they were on the mountain or even that they could be after the same prize. It was the fact they shot at Azar and himself. That had angered Trael more than even he expected. The golden cracks in his eyes looked like streams of lava moving across his eyes.

His expression switched to confusion as he witnessed his vortex of flame seemingly completely change its nature. He knew he didn’t do that, he didn’t even know it was a thing that could be done. He glanced over to Azar as he watched the fire get worse as water was used to douse it. There was a slight twinkle in his eye at the sight, being someone specialized into pyromancy seeing a potential way to make that more potent was intriguing.

Trael watched as a group of hunters came running down the hill. He drew out his sword as he prepared to fight. His focus was on the encroaching group as Azar started talking to him, “I’m not going to just blindly follow your orders.” He replied bluntly as one hunter came at him with a knife. Trael dashed to the side with the Force slicing upward with his blade slicing off the man’s arm. He grabbed it before it fell and rotated his body, lodging the knife into another hunters head with the arm still attached. He launched a burst of Force lighting at another launching him backwards into another two. He walked forward finishing off one before he could get up. Slicing to the side to catch the other as he lowered his blaster at him, slicing him in half diagonally. “I worry about you too, doesn’t mean I’m going to treat you like a fragile flower.” He hissed back as he started delving more into the dark side. He heard someone screaming as they fell somewhere behind him but he couldn’t worry about that now.

Another trio approached him with blasters drawn. They stopped ahead of him and lowered their blasters. Trael swept his hand to the side as a spike of the earth shot out and impaled two of them. The other running away in fear, Trael grabbed his leg with the Force and dragged him backwards. He stabbed his blade through the man’s back as he begged for mercy in the mud.

He looked at Azar as this remark hit a bit deeper than the others. He saw the blade flying towards him and caught it, “You didn’t need to bring that up.” He practically yelled back as he watched Azar begin to delve into the mind of the one hunter that had been spared so far. He turned around to what he assumed would be the last batch rushing him. A smile forming as he twisted the two blades and charged the group.

There was one at the front of the pack who decided him being faster made him deadlier. Trael dodged to the side as he came down with an vibroaxe. The dragon sword pierced the man through the eye as he followed through on the axe swing. Trael oriented the sword downward slicing through the skull as the rest started to arrive. He caught one’s blade with his sword and tripped him with his foot as another went to attack. He stabbed out catching him in the gut as he twisted to avoid another swing. He had to let go of the vibrosword that was lodged into the mans gut. He kicked the man on the ground as he tried to get back up, grabbing him and sliding him to trip another using the Force.

He used the opening to pull the vibrosword to him. He got it just in time to raise both of his swords in defense and block two attacks. He was able to push through one of the attackers defense as they were scrawny. He used that sword to ‘disarm’ the other as he turned and pounded away at the other’s defense, each blow driving them to the ground till they fell and gave him the opening to stab them. He was standing over the corpses slightly panting as Azar dropped the husk of a man.

Trael could see them scattering after the display. This was where Trael had always thrived in the midst of battle. This time he was with Azar, the two fought as equals. Neither one actively protected the other. Each fought their own battle side by side as they swept through the camp together. As a warrior having Azar fighting next to him meant everything to Trael. His gazed darted over to where Azar pointed out as he dropped both swords, using both hands to conjure up fire to hit the area. His pyrokinesis was aided by Azar and turned into a stunning meteor shower that completely obliterated the area.

Trael stood amongst the battlefield, his gaze scanning the ground making sure none of the poachers stirred. Once he was certain that they wouldn’t be a threat Trael went and picked up the two blades. He sheathed the Vibrosword and continued holding the dragons tooth looking sword. He looked to Azar as he urgently spoke about the path to the nexus. “I’m right behind you.” He said as he started following Azar down the path. He quickly realized that this was where a group of hunters had run to. That meant that they still potentially had a battle ahead. Even worse likely an ambush.

He listened as Azar laid out the plan. “If it’s being strengthened by the nexus I agree we should avoid a fight.” He agreed whispering, “We’ll claim whatever eggs it has and leave. Only fight it if we absolutely need to.” He added, “Let’s also try to avoid our company so we don’t risk drawing the dragon to us.” He whispered as he started walking into the cave waving Azar in behind him.

As the two entered the cave they would hear a deafening roar behind them where the battle was. It was accompanied by what sounded like storm winds and eventually the sound of rocks crumbling. It would seem the dragon did not take kindly to the commotion caused and had went to investigate it. Azar and Trael would have to navigate the tunnels carefully as an untold number of hunters awaited them.

Azar was aware of everything Trael was doing the entire time they fought through the camp. He noticed the fluid use of the Force, the expert swordsmanship and the tenacity in battle. Trael was a wonder to behold as he tore through the hunters with his blades, easily augmenting his melee work with the Force. It was a smooth transition and shift as a testament to his skill. Azar had to wonder exactly how Trael found himself with such poor luck in the past when he was a perfectly capable Sith.

They were in the cave systems and a roar resounded behind them. Azar didn’t need to see the dragon to know it was big. The Pureblood walked calmly through the tunnel, not entirely rattled by the prospect of a dragon on their tails just yet. He was silent, which meant he was thinking. Azar thought back to Trael’s displays earlier, an idea forming in his mind. He turned to his man, “I have an idea,” He said simply, “Focus your mind and see these tunnels through the plane of the Force with Sight,” Azar suggested, “With your mind you will connect to mine and relay to me where you see the signatures of the individuals hiding. I will then create seals to block them in.”

Azar waited for Trael to do his part, deciding he quite liked working in concert with his boyfriend during fights. He channeled the Force to himself, relying on Trael as he waited for the other man to relay what he saw. Once that happened, Azar began to use terrakinesis to carefully raise earth barriers to seal the tunnels near where the hunters were hiding. Trael would find his efforts with Sight augmented thanks to Azar connecting with his mind - it was not to aid Trael’s attempt, but it was to allow him to have some more Force reserves to draw from. Trael was stretching his limits after using the Force earlier.

Once the paths were sealed, Azar grinned to himself, “I’ll be right back,” He said to Trael with a wink, "Please don't move from here, honey, I mean it," Without warning, his corporeal form disappeared as he teleported. For few seconds Trael would be left alone with his own thoughts. In the distance he would hear some heavy, thudding footsteps. From the sounds of it, the dragon sounded incredibly irritated and began to thunder closer to the cave. Something was clearly antagonizing it out there.

A moment later, Azar abruptly materialized near Trael again. He quickly grabbed him by the hand and bolted down the tunnel without offering any explanation. The Pureblood didn’t look back, rapidly adjusting the height of the ceiling so his tall boyfriend didn’t collide his head as they ran full speed. Behind them, Trael would hear the enraged roar of the dragon followed by the tunnels beginning to crumble behind them. Flames raged through the cave system and screams echoed behind them, confirming that the dragon was riled and actively breathing fire into the cave. With Azar’s ploy earlier, the hunters were suffocated and cooked wherever they were, and anyone that survived would die from oxygen deprivation because of the earth barriers. As a result, not only was the dragon distracted, but their enemies were killed as well.

Azar didn’t stop running as the path began to turn upwards and he could feel the pulse of the nexus. The Pureblood may have been an accomplished Force user, but cardio was not his strong suit. He was panting and struggling as they kept running while Trael was completely fine. Azar stumbled towards the nexus and looked past it towards a rock formation.

“I think…the nest…up there..” Azar panted, plopping down on a natural platform, “I need…to catch my…breath..you get…egg,” He heaved before he toppled on his back to lie down. It didn’t matter that the tunnels were collapsing or that the dragon was furiously making its way over. Azar was tired.

If Trael kept going, he would come across four perfect eggs (roll: 4/4). Not only would they have to take one or two, but they would have to find a swift means of escaping without the dragon catching them. And Trael also had princess Azar to deal with.

"Did you...pack the....egg bag?" Azar called out in between wheezing, recalling a bicker session before they left for the trip because the Pureblood wanted to pack a dedicated bag for eggs. Trael didn't find it necessary. Now there were several eggs to deal with and a full backpack.

Trael heard the dragon come flying past. It would’ve been impossible to miss. He made a mental note that the dragon was now present but continued on at the same pace. He could tell it was a large dragon, and that he wasn’t keen on meeting it. He turned to Azar when he suggested using Force Sight to look through the tunnels. “That’s not a bad idea, connecting our minds should let you see through me, shouldn’t it?” He mused not overly familiar with the more mental focused force abilities.

He worked to connect to Azar’s mind, Hello, baby, is this working? He asked Azar telepathically making sure it worked. He then took a deep breath steadying his mind, before reaching out with Force Sight to quickly search the cave system. He drew from the reserves Azar allowed him to pushing his sight out till he didn’t see any more hunters. Trael worked to relay the positioning of the hunters through the connection him and Azar had before he stopped using the ability and closed the connection.

He waited as Azar finished sealing the tunnels, keeping an eye out for any dangers. After a short while Azar looked at him and said he’d be back, also telling Trael not to move. He then teleported away, Trael let out a sigh. He stood there and took the time to finally examine the sword. He was interrupted by the commotion outside. The dragon sounded like it was trying to kill something and that something was making it angry. He better not have done what it think. Azar then popped back near him, grabbing him and running away from something.

Trael’s suspicion was confirmed by Azar running. Azar never ran anywhere, so the fact he was now and the sounds of the dragon rampaging through the cave system all but confirmed that Azar had went and fucked with the dragon. They continued running, the path went upwards and the nexus pulsated nearby. Azar began to slow down as they got close to the nexus. He all but stumbled as they got to it.

Trael looked towards where Azar pointed out the rock formation. He made his way towards it jumping up and landing next to a nest filled with four eggs. He actually smirked when Azar asked about the egg bag, he remembered packing a handful of extra bags Azar had for various purposes and was certain the egg bag was one. So he set down the backpack and began pulling out various rolled out bags, each one completely different than the other. Trael continued pulling them out till he got to the last one he let out a sigh of defeat, he had forgotten the egg bag.

He took off the shirt he was wearing and pulled out the two spares he had. He used the sword to cut the shirts strategically. He tied them together into a makeshift bag and replaced the backpack floating it down next to Azar. He then put the eggs into his makeshift bag only able to fit three of them. He let out a sigh, “Honey, I’m going to need you to carry one of the eggs, please?” He asked the tired Azar, “We should be able to draw some power from the nexus to recharge, right? If so, we do that and get out of here.” He suggested, his lack of intricate Force knowledge showing.

Trael didn’t answer the question. Azar tilted his head to watch as Trael practically emptied the entire backpack, taking out things like Azar's shoes bag, his makeup bag, his skincare bag, his bag of bags, his bag of horrifically devastating poisons, his sex toys bag that looked entirely similar to the poison bag, and everything else in between. Everything but the egg bag. The Pureblood slowly peeled himself off the floor to sit up, watching his man randomly take his shirt off. This was becoming a habit of Trael’s, and one Azar didn’t mind one bit.

“Now is not the time to be quilting, sweetie,” Azar said through gritted teeth as he walked over to quickly start packing all his items again. Trael’s theory on the nexus was, in fact, actually correct. The Pureblood grumbled to himself about carrying the last egg, but even he couldn’t deny it was incredible they found these intact eggs. Azar looked at Trael, “We have to really book it once I draw from the nexus. Got it?” He asked as he began to do just that. It was actually Azar giving himself a pep talk.

Touching the nexus pinpointed their location and the dragon roared loudly. It crashed its way upwards and out of the tunnels, flying out into the sky briefly to circle back around to block the exit. Azar felt the Force surging powerfully through him again as if he took a drink of water with a parched throat. He smirked to himself, throwing his hand up as the back wall of the cavern blew out to create a makeshift exit.

“RUN!” He screeched at Trael as he started to do just that, despising his lack of a cardio routine. They would have to bolt out, Azar squinting against the sun as they emerged outside. He turned hard to the left as he could see the dragon’s looming shadow approaching closer. Azar dropped below an overhang, using the Force to practically throw Trael down next to him. He pulled the other man close, motioning for him to be quiet.

It was clear that Azar still had little desire to fight this thing. Not far behind them, the dragon landed with a heavy thud that made the earth tremble. It was first stomping back towards the nexus to check on the eggs. After that, it let out an ear-splitting, mournful cry at realizing all of its eggs were missing. Azar looked ahead at more places for cover, wondering if they would have a window to book it. It wasn’t going to be possible for him to teleport everything easily, so they had to stay on foot for now.

Trael simply looked over to Azar as he quipped about quilting, rolling his eyes as he continued with the task at hand. Once the eggs were settled between being in his egg bag and Azar carrying one he made his way next to the nexus with Azar. He quirked an eyebrow at Azar, “Run once you get done got it.” He replied keeping his smart ass comment to himself.

As Azar touched the nexus the cave they were in felt like an earthquake had begun. Trael could hear as the dragon tore through rock making its way out of the caves at the entrance. Trael was starting to hop in place as Azar turned towards the back wall and blew it open to create and exit for them. Trael let Azar go first as he closely followed him, he squinted as the sunlight met his eyes following the silhouette of Azar to the left. His eyes were still adjusting when he felt the force yank him to the ground. Azar pulled him close and hushed him.

The ground shook as a loud thud sounded behind them. The dragon had come to inspect its lair, the footsteps were like shockwaves on the ground as it entered the new cave entrance. The dragon let out an ear splitting screech at the discovery of its eggs missing. It sounded like the beast went on a rampage inside the lair trying to make sure the culprit wasn’t in there. He scanned the surroundings noting a few rock formations scattered around, he looked past Azar along the mountain, there were fewer spots to take cover but it would eventually lead around to the original entrance.

He sent out a telepathic link to Azar, “We can take the eggs and run along the mountain. It will likely lead towards the remains of the camp and back towards the springs.” He calmly explained, “Or we could try to tire it out and weaken it using those formations.” He explained pointing out towards the handful of rock formations that weren’t towards the path back to the ship. He knew Azar would protest the second option but the point of the trip was the eggs, getting those to safety was worth having to play wack a mole with a dragon.

Azar stared skeptically at Trael at his suggestions. His first idea was obvious, the second one…well, he wasn’t going to even dignify that with a response. He had that same look on his face that suggested some intense calculations were going through his mind. After a moment, he closed his eyes and delved into the Force. He focused on the nexus, the thread that connected to the dragon itself. He concentrated the Force into a weapon, unleashing a sudden and abrupt psychic assault that would slam into the nexus and distribute to the dragon itself. It would have a recoil that made Azar wince in pain. Trael would see blood beginning to drip from Azar’s nose.

The effect was immediate, the dragon temporarily stunned. It dropped to the ground with a heavy thud, slamming its head all over the place to make the piercing pain stop. Azar’s eyes flew open and he staggered from the backlash, his eyes bloodshot. He picked up the egg and started bolting again, heading back towards the direction of the camp and hot springs. They would stop now and then for cover while the dragon recovered, but he was still trying to avoid facing it directly.

The dragon aimlessly began to spit fire, leaving blazing trails of flames in their wake. Azar was almost out of breath to begin with, carrying a dragon egg was not helping. However, he didn’t look back, running for his life back the way they came.

“We’d have a bag for all four eggs if you packed the egg bag,” Azar hissed as they ran. He hopped over a boulder and dropped to hide behind another overhang, knowing the dragon was recovered by now. He wouldn’t try the nexus move again, but it was up in the air whether the dragon knew where to follow.

While they waited, Azar sat around and got bored, “Babe,” He said suddenly, “Would you still love me if I didn’t have such a nice ass?” He pondered, "What if I had scales?"

Trael watched with curiosity as Azar seemed to be in deep thought. Was he trying to come up with his own plan? It seemed so to Trael who just kept an eye out and covered his boo. That’s when he saw Azars nose start to bleed. Before he could do anything about it the dragon slammed down with a thud. It was obvious the creature was flopping around, it could be felt due to the close proximity. Azar’s eyes flew open and were bloodshot, he staggered slightly as he grabbed up his egg and began running again.

Trael followed behind Azar as they made their way back towards the camp and spa. Occasionally they’d dip behind cover to make sure the beast was still stunned then move on. Jets of flame burst out from the caves as the dragon desperately tried to take out the intruders. The land behind them got scorched heavily. He let out a sigh as Azar pointed out the lack of an egg bag, “I thought I had brought it but I guess I didn’t.” He replied back as he landed down next to Azar.

As they waited to see if the dragon would follow Azar asked Trael a question that even made him question if Azar was a woman. “I didn’t fall in love with you just because of your ass.” He said rather quickly, he turned and blankly stared at Azar for a moment after his second question, “You moisturize enough that you’re scales would feel like skin, also once again I don’t love you for your physical features exclusively.” He said with a shrug.

Once Trael had answered Azars questionable questions, he let out a sigh and went to peak out from the rock. As he did the dragons head peeked around the corner and spotted him, “BABE, MOVE THAT ASS NOW!!” He yelled as the dragon ran towards them on the ground, trying to catch some momentum to turn into flying to them quickly. Trael would let Azar run ahead before following close behind. They would both hear the gust of wind as the dragon took to flight to chase them.
