DESCRIPTION
The Deucalian Eldhníf [Deucalic; lit. “Fire Knife"] also sometimes referred to as a Heat Knife or Deucalian Combat Knife was a lesser known cousin to the Deucalian Elduröxi that took the form of a large knife. Though size and decorative features often differed, the blade shape and manufacturing methods remained standard. Made in the same method as the Elduröxi with the same materials and thermal actuating module, but in a slightly more concealable shape. One could often find them in the off hand of a Deucalian weilding a single bladed axe or one handed sword or gun, however they were not ruled out as a primary weapon.

LEGALITY
Fully legal, the Eldhníf is for all intents and purposes the same as a vibroknife. The only difference being the source of it's cutting power. (Heat rather than vibrations)

INTENT
To create another unique weapon for the Deucalians. Essentially a knife reskin of the Elduröxi

ADVANCED TECH
Yes. It's a unique cultural weapon and requires plot for most to acquire. Deucalian characters can start with one, however.

Might want to take a look at this post as an example for things about the faction tech rules in regards to space viking stuff.

Fair nuff. @AutoFox or @Loco archive away please!

this doesn't even need to be archived. just take away the advanced-ness and it being faction tech (and therefore anyone could use it, and as with the linked armor, you could say this is popular with space vikings, or made/inspired off of space-viking design that anyone could get a hold of) that should be fine perhaps.

It's going to be re-posted by @Korvo as faction tech.
