Once again Rathru descended into the dark forgotten places under the temple of Tython. Bearing on his back his force blade and in his arms the materials needed to re-forge it. Having been payed handsomely by the Alliance for his deeds he gave a good portion to the needy and spent the rest on new materials for his blade including a high quality Rubat crystal to replace the one suitable for initiate blades he had been gifted by the temple. This time he had however spread the word that he was going to be forging and had even invited others to turn up and request weapons as lighting the forges was a large and tiring process and it would be foolish to not capitalise on it while they were still hot.

Of course others would have to find there way down here. This was one of the ancient and very seldom used parts of the temple and not even Rathru who had take to exploring it in his spare time had managed to find out exactly how deep the corridors went and exactly what lay beneath waiting to be re-discovered.

Coming to the great doors that marked entrance to the forge Ratru forced used telekinesis to force the massive iron structures open and allow his entry. Placing his components on the ground he began the long process of coaxing the grand forges fire to life.

Walking slowly behind the newly appointed Knight Rathru Minion thought of the weapon he wished to forge. It was basically a melee weapon (link) that he could use in combat. A great weapon it would be and he a proud owner Minion would be.

As Rathru opened the doors Minion's heart started to race. The great forge was revealed by Rathru through the force and it was a site to see. Now the fun starts.

Rathru made his way to a nook that contained the fuel for the fire. Huge logs preserved from the ravages of time by the force. Taking an armful Rathru began to head towards the forge. Though these days there was methods for swift and efficient crafting in factories the making of force imbued weaponry needed to be done by hand. Dumping the logs into the open maw of the furnace he repeated the trip several times. Finally there was enough fuel to feed the fire -Minion might have to help carry logs to keep things stable but there was certainly enough to begin. Drawing out a hot poker from a hidden compartment he set the wood afire and began to pump the bellows.

"I see you desire a weapon that is both vibroblade and force imbued. I have never seen such a thing before and indeed It may be a very formidable piece of equipment."

Now taking the machinery and metal that would go to the creation of the heartlance he began to hammer out the metal. Taking the crystal that Minion desired he began to infuse the metal with the force in the ancient tradition of the Jedi used in the days before lightsabers.

(OOC: Any specific crystal Minion wants to use as a core for the weapon?)

Minion watched eagerly as the heartlance took form. His excitement growing. "It will be a great weapon. I have seen it in the future." This blade will see many battles to come. Maybe not by his hands but of his descendants. That is if everything goes accordingly.

(Sorry for the short post. And no nothing particular....I'll just let your mind use its imagination. I have a bad feeling I'm going to regret it. :)

Harder and harder the blows began to fall upon the metal. The fire grew hotter and hotter giving the room the illusion it was located near some form of volcanic pocket or lava flow (Which might not be far off considering how deep the room was underground). It came time to insert the crystal into the blade that would be used to channel in force energy and so the shimmering Rubat crystal was submerged in the molten metal. Aside from being a good channel for the force the gem also made the weapon easier and faster to wield in complex manoeuvres meaning even with it's large size it could be wielded in swift and complex forms. Not the rarest or most pricy of stones by any means but both practical and efficient which was best in combat.

One last time Rathru brought the hammer down and strained as he channelled the energies of the light side into the blade. Then grabbing a set of tongs lifted the still red hot implement from the forge and doused in a part of the floor that had been stripped away to reveal a icy cold underground stream. Smoke began to fill the room and the hissing sound made by the metal sounded like a dragon that ha just discovered uninvited guests.

But finally the heartlance was done. Taking it in one hand Rathru handed it to Minion.

"It yearns to be used. Take it into the galaxy and right whatever wrongs may cross your path."

Taking his sword Barnstokker from his back Rathru strode back to the forge and placed the weapon into the still fierce heat. Adding several metals to the mix he began to re-forge the blade. Since he had created the weapon he had learned much and his newfound wisdom would make the blade even better. He also had a salary now which meant he would replace his old Rubat crystal with a better one - similar to Minions.

The blade would also be given a new name.

Minion took the blade into his hand. It's name shall be called Waymaker; for it shall lead the way of the just. Minion nodded towards Rathru "Waymaker shall be an honorable weapon." With that he left Rathru to his work alone.

Minion had named his blade well. He was a warrior that Rathru could respect and trust his back to in combat. Turning back to his task Rathru continued the tiring task of beating out the metal again and again till it was perfect - or as perfect as he could bring forth with his current level of talent. He still had a long way to go but it was most certainly an improvement. Force reserved strained as the new crystal was added into the mix and force reserves were drained near dry pouring energy into the blade.

Now the room filled with steam once more as the blade was drawn from the furnace.

Rathru could already feel the improvements : Better balancing , sharper, sturdier and with a greater force presence.

"Carnwennan - that is your new name"
