Emma likes to keep herself presentable, so her near shoulder-length black hair being very well maintained. There'd be no scarring, or signs of damage anywhere on her and she'd have smooth facial features. Her small frame is evidence of her light weight. Her eyes have a brown color, and regularly examine her surroundings with clear precision.
She usually wears a simple attire, and that would mostly be a green jumpsuit of sorts. While it isn't a flight suit, it's pretty much all she has. Oh, and she favors wearing a nice pair of aviators quite often.
Just don't expect her to dress like a pretty princess-- Wealth is something something she doesn't need or seek a lot of. Well, it's also something she doesn't have.

Emma was born under the not-so-careful people known as 'parents.' That's probably why she never got to know them, or why she was thrown in an escape pod with total strangers. All she knew growing up was that she never had parents, and was raised by a variety of people. Maybe somewhere along the lines there was some sort of promise made, but she would never know or care to know.
It didn't matter if her parents were wealthy or not because she surely wasn't. Her entire childhood was nothing but barely making it through, but she still managed to get fairly educated. Most of the time she was being trained in piloting freighters and small shuttles- Probably so when she learned she could repay that one angry guy for keeping her alive. It was a fairly rough life to grow up in, but she enjoyed it. Maybe 'living life on the edge' was exciting to her.
Then she ditched that angry man who kept her alive to strike out on her own. Maybe it would have helped to learn more about some of the people in the Outer Rim. That's probably why she was nearly killed a few times. Was it? Probably. Pretty soon she found herself drifting alone. Sometimes literally after being dumped in a pod and jettisoned for someone else to take. Maybe reminding people she didn't work for free was rude.
