You'll have Gollum in Hogwarts robes with a Lightsaber.

He will just sit there stroking the Ashes Urn of the Emperor, and whispering ''My Precious......my precious.....'' in the background during the ending scene of the movie.

Wait a sec, where the hell is Lando at?

And there is a character named "Bubba Calrisisian"? That's a southern US nickname for people....

My guess is that Lando will have a brief appearance, rather than being part of the main cast.

This is a total shot in the dark here, but with Max Von Sydow in the cast, I am thinking a possible Thrawn/Palpatine MK.2 story.

My guess is that Lando will have a brief appearance, rather than being part of the main cast.

Lando could also have a large(r) part in the later movies, of course, like he did in the OT. This is just Ep VII, not the entire new Trilogy.

Lando will be around just long enough to explain why the Solo kids are brown.

edit- I think I may have made that joke on here already. If so, sorry.

Unknowns = Good.

Diversity of race and gender = good.

Return of many OG crew = potentially good, especially because Daniels has been quite vocal of his dislike of the prequels, among many others behind the OG films.

The talent = pretty damn good all things considered, though Fisher and Ford are still a worry of mine.

Abrams is a competent director, I wouldn't call him good but he's teetering on the edge of that description for me, but what he tends to lack is a really good script to work with. This could/couldn't be the project that proves me wrong, but all round, I'm not disheartened by this announcement at all.

I'm just super excited that Andy Serkis is in it. He's a great actor and director, and he'll do a great job with whatever mo-cap job they give him.

Serkis is great.

I've seen Domhnall in some stuff and he's pretty good, John Boyega was really good in Attack the Block, I liked how subtle he was, he was very much a 'power behind the eyes' kind of performer. His whole body seemed to exude a presence, you can tell he's very conscious and deliberate with his movements.

Adam Driver I know nothing of beyond the fact his name as circled the casting drain for awhile recently and Daisy Ridley seems to be almost a complete unknown which is great and almost of unheard of in major studio pictures nowadays. And Sydow has me thinking he could possibly be playing a villain.

And Oscar Isaac is just great.

Not to be the bearer of cold news here, but given how old most of this main cast is.....they better shoot these movies ****ing quick.

Actually, I completely misread a different article.

I wish there were waaaay more women in the movie, my bad.

I also wish there were more women in the cast. I suspect that Daisy Ridley is going to be the Luke Skywalker character so that will somewhat make up for it, but I do wish that there was more gender representation.

The cast, on its own merits (rather than what could have been), is pretty solid. I'm enthusiastic.
