BIOGRAPHY
Eruc was a human male, born on New Alderaan to a pair of high ranking military officials. Almost his entire family had been involved in the military and as such he was constantly told about the glory of war and the thrill of combat from a young age and was fully expected to join the military when he came off age. And come of age he did. He was excited to serve at first, he'd been regailed by tales of how great it was and all the medals he'd win.
He learned the hard way that combat is a horribly brutal thing. The illusion of glory was shattered when he saw young men and women blown to pieces in a war that none of them had started or even really cared about. While he was off-world fighting in yet another skirmish, Eruc, wounded and alone crawled into a cave to seek shelter and encountered a robed man who wielded a sword of heavenly blue light and filled the air around him with a certain aura of calm. Eruc remained in the cave, slipping in and out of consciousness while the man treated his wounds and helped him recover. It was through this man that Eruc learned that he was force sensitive. He expressed his desire to leave the military, he was done with fighting other people's wars and watching people die needlessly.
The robed man revealed himself to be a Jedi and offered to take Eruc away with him, where he would serve as his padawan. Eruc accepted and deserted the Alderaan military. He was under that Jedi's wing for years before he was promoted to Knight. The Jedi were still violent, but it was nothing compared to the atrocities of war he'd seen. Or so he thought.
During a conflict with the Sith forces, Eruc dueled a young Sith Champion who was a similar age to himself. It was a difficult battle but in the end, Eruc managed to land a terminal blow across the man's belly. It was not a clean death. The Sith was alive for atleast 10 minutes afterwards, choking on his own blood and vomit and going into shock from the pain. Eruc stayed with him, paralyzed by PTSD and flashbacks to his comrades back in the military. Young Men and Women dying in wars they didn't start.
Eruc took some time to himself after that and did some heavy meditating. When he left his trance, Eruc officially swore an oath of Pacifism. He took the lightsaber he'd forged as a padawan and broke it open, removing the kyber crystal from it's core. He fastened the crystal onto a piece of brown string and put it around his neck. HIs new necklace and dead lightsaber on his belt were to serve as a symbol for his new ideology. Eruc had already been studying protective and restorative force techniques from his old master and decided to devote himself to them completely.
Eruc distanced himself from the order and has since settled on the lower levels of Coruscant where he has been helping those who need it and hiding from the New Alderaan military who seek to arrest him for desertion and the Jedi who might try to convince him to join a war effort in any capacity.
Personality
Eruc, like a lot of force sensitives, feels the pull of the Dark Side. For him it manifests as his fathers voice, berating him and calling him a disgrace and a disappointment due to his desertion and refusal to cause harm to other people. Part of Eruc's decision to swear off violence came from the fact that he was able to feel the pull of the darkness getting stronger with every conflict and atrocity he partook in, back then his father's voice wasn't expressing disgust in him but instead showing him support and approval - trying to tempt him into causing more harm. Eruc fears what would become of him if he were to ever slip into the dark and will do everything in his power to prevent that from ever happening.
Skills
After he seperated his Kyber Crystal from his Lightsaber, Eruc swore an oath of pacifism and purely studied force techniques that could be used to help heal and protect those he encounters or, if absolutely necessary, harmlessly disable someone who intends to kill him or those under his care. He is particularly proficient with Healing and Barriers.
