The Spice Mines of Kessel
1723 local time
Gaz's ship touched down, kicking up so much dust he started genuinely worrying about it getting to the engines. Kessel wasn't the cleanest planet, and he was glad the shuttle he'd "borrowed" wasn't his. Technically, he was free to keep it, since the pirates that owned it were dead now, but it was a hunk of metal with dozens of dents in it and it reeked, so he was already eager to get rid of it as soon as possible.

The mines were a few hundred meters away from him, but he couldn't land directly within. First, he was waiting for someone, and second, their mission was much more covert than that. @Black Noise

Larisa stood knee deep in a pool of blood, bodies floated face down all around her. Seven men stood in the distance, watching her. She could see their eyes so clearly, yellow and bloodshot. One of them ignited a lightsaber and pointed it directly at her. Finally, they screamed.

The shaking and the shuddering of the vessel awoke Larisa from her peaceful sleep. Sitting up in the chair, she looked to the man sitting next to her inside the slaving vessel and smiled gently. Wide eyed and handcuffed to the wall, he started screaming again and begging for someone to get him away from Larisa. The small woman simply couldn't understand why the Gree hated her, she had only taken one of his fingers when she boarded the vessel.

Moving up towards the cockpit as the ship touched down, she thanked the droid that had allowed her to 'stow away' on the vessel and removed the restraining bolt from it's neck. The machine started screaming about 'revolution' and 'freedom' and 'drinking the blood of the mortal oppressors'. All things Larisa wasn't really paying attention to as she dismounted down the vessel's ramp.

Spotting a dented and old shuttle in the distance, Larisa smiled. She could feel the essence of Gaz inside, having been well acquainted with him in their last mission together. Moving towards it as it landed, Larisa would join up with him very soon. Armed to the teeth with her blaster rifle, scattergun, vibroblade, and flashbangs, Larisa was prepared for anything.

He noticed a slaver vehicle land in the distance, carrying someone familiar. Gaz left his ship and made his way over, cloak covering him. He looked like any other nondescript mercenary, although underneath he was carrying a lightsaber and blaster, not really needing anything else.

Larisa was already walking toward him so the two met fairly quickly, the Sith greeting her with a nod. "We'll have to be careful," he said, rubbing his temples. "It's not very surprising, but someone tipped the slavers off. I had a gang of pirates try to take the Sith vessel I was on."

They began walking. "Though as you can see, they weren't much of an issue," Gaz added, the ship he'd arrived on being a testament to that.

Larisa watched as Gaz left the Sith vessel and nodded in response to his words. Crossing her arms and smiling, she responded, "Sounds good. I'm taking a back seat on the lead here, Gaz. This is not a world I am familiar with, so you point to what needs to be done and I'll go. Otherwise, I'm leaving it up to you to lead us where to go."

Taking out her blaster rifle, Larisa would walk with Gaz towards the mines. They would reach there soon, and Larisa hoped this mission would be as simple as the last one.

"Fair enough."

As they approached the mines, Gaz gave her a little briefing. "As you know, we're looking for Visrik Fallwen. If they ask, we'll say we're independent slavers looking to buy him. Hopefully, he's not too valuable to them." That was a weird thing to say about his father. Ugh. "If you see them tense up, try to take them out as stealthily as possible. We don't want a riot on our hands." The last riot he'd been a part of had been an Imperial prison, and it hadn't been pretty. A stampede on Kessel would probably collapse the mine.

They reached the elevator, and Gaz hit the button for the lowest surface level, where he hoped one of the slavers would be. He glanced out at the mines below as they approached, the workers growing from ant-like with the speed of the rickety elevator.

It came to a stop noisily, although no one turned to look at them. Off in the distance, a foreman was yelling orders, whip in hand. That was probably their guy.

"Oi!" Gaz called out. "Lookin to make some easy money?"
