Name: Esksilisk
Biology: Esksilisks are reptile-like sentient aliens, that come from the swamp world of Chitinossa. The common male has a length of 1.90 to 2.00 meters, and females have a height of 1.85 to 1.95 meters. The specie has scaly skin, which can be green, brown, blue, red, black, and yellow, or combinations for these colors. Esksilisk have a tail that is 1 meter long, and is 10 centimeters width at the base. The tail is very strong, and can be used to grab objects. The specie has a resemblance with Earth reptiles, mostly with iguanas and lizards. Esksilisk have a head, 2 arms, two feet, a torso, and a tail. Its head is round, with their noses protruding from the center of its face, and their mouth being down it, and their two eyes are at the side of the nose. Their ears are located at the sides of their head. Their hands and feet have 5 fingers in each one, and each finger has a claw on it.
The females lay one egg, which measures 60 centimeters when fully developed, and in it forms the baby that grows and hatches in 3 months. In some eggs, sometimes twins form, though this is somewhat rare, but is a great source of happiness to the family. The baby measures 40 centimeters, weights 3 kilograms, and is born with teeth, that makes him able to start eating soon after his birth. The adult reaches their maturity at their 20 years old, less in some cases. The specie can live 100 hundred standard years.

Strengths: The species are very intelligent, have a keen sense of sight, hearing and smell, they are very swift and fast, both in earth and in water, also, they are excellent being stealthy and sneaking. They also can climb walls and trees very fast, using their claws on their feet and hands to do it. They have regeneration abilities, being capable of growing back any part of their body in some time. Their lungs are adapted to breathe underwater, and also they can breathe out of it, thanks to an adaptation made to evit being eaten by the huge monsters that live in the swamps.
Weaknesses: As their planet is a complete swamp, they are only adapted to a humid-hot biome, and because they are cold-blooded, they have problems with cold. Also, they lack on strength what they have on agility and intelligent. Their bones were not made to resist impacts, making them very vulnerable of receiving more damage from an opponent that other species.
Diet : They are omnivore, but because they have a huge respect for animal life, they don't eat animals. They prefer having a herbivore diet, eating algae, plants, vegetables, and fruits.
Behavior/Temperament:The Esksilisk have a pacific nature, and a great respect for nature. But, they will attack if they are provoked.
Communication: The Esksilisk communicate verbally with each other, having their own language, named Esksill. It has 27 letters, with points and commas.

Culture: Esksilisk believe that every life in the universe is important and worthy, and they believe they should take care of it. They also believe in reincarnation. The Esklisks live in villages, and each village is ruled by a council of three Esksilisks, 2 females and one male and they maintain order and peace in the villages. The Esksilisks are farmers, or raise animals to serve as transport or to help to defend the villages. Both males and females take care of their children, and couples are together until they die.
Technology: Their technology is not very advanced, using swords and bows as weapons, and animals as transport. Though they have been adapting to the new technology that has came to them from other species, learning rapidly how to use it.
History: The Esklisks evolved in the swamp world of Chitinossa, and had to adapt to the numerous enemies that wanted to prey on them, giving them various advantages over their enemies, such as hiding underwater and climbing trees with their claws. First being a solitary species, they also evolved to be social, because a larger number of Esksilisk could protect themselves from a big enemy.
Later, they started domesticating animals and growing crops and trees, leading to the foundation of villages. They then started socializing with other villages, to the point that all where united, and all helped each other, making and growing together.
By 1,010 a spaceship finds Chitinossa, and an exploration team was sent. Esklisks where afraid of them at first, but later they engaged a pacific contact with them. The team returned back with the news, and the spaceship reported what they have found. After some time later, more spaceships came to the planet; a space port was made with the help of the technology the spaceships have brought and the help of the Esklisks. They have been adapting rapidly to the changes of the new technology, and some of them have starting exploring the universe and other planets.

- Feathered Esksilisk- These subspecies of Esksilisk feathers, that are only located in the head, and resemble hair. Some Esksilisk seem to have reproduced with another different specie, perhaps resulting in this subspecies. According to Esksilisk legends, these feathered Esksilisk are sent to be heroes and peace keepers among them.
- Esklander- A subspecies of the Esksilisk that shares more amphibian characteristics that the normal Esksilisk. They remain more time underwater, and as a result, its skin has became slippery, sticky, and with the capacity of absorbing oxygen from the water directly. The subspecies it has also developed fins at their arms, and backs to swim faster on water. But, its lungs have become smaller, and have lost some of their capacity of breathing air, and their capacity of remaining a long time on surface. They live in cities underwater, in the deepest parts of the swamps.
