Since Eso had begun his life as a crime lord he's taken it upon himself to learn and master many martial arts. He has mastered all areas from the striking, to the ground game. That has been one of the reason why he only keeps a few guards when he is in the public. He has gone as far as to fight professionally when he was younger, even winning titles. Other than that he often enjoys a nice Talusian Cigarra dipped in zucca and Corellian ale.

Esomos is known amongst his men to be a rusthless to his enemies but compasionate to his allies. He will not hesitate to kill or destroy for the good of the cartel. An expert negotiator and charismatic talker. Often visits bars such as Galactic Fusion on Coruscant. Doesn't afraid of anything. Known to walk the streets with little to no apparent guard on occasion.
Background:
Esomos Resurgam was born in the Landon Sector of Coronet City, Corellia where he raised by his mother; he had 3 brothers and sisters. He was a prankster who spent time tricking his neighbors before he began working for the local drug lord Vix Vernon by selling spice at age 13. Vix had personally recruited him for his ability to talk his way out of trouble. He basically was supporting his family for most of his teen life.
Over the years he grew closer and closer to Vix, and when the spice lord retired in 995aby he selected Eso to become the next boss. The selection was widely contested as Eso was only 18 at the time, many said he was to young to be in charge. He proved most of his critics wrong when after only 2 years he improved the profit drastically by branching out into other markets such as weapons and widening the rang of his sales to all of Corellia. The only people that still wanted him out were the ones that wanted the last guy out, the ones who wanted to be in charge. So he decided to put them in power; he gave the his enemies power over each secter of correlia, and therefore, away from him and eachother.
By 1000aby he had controlled the spice completly in the Corellia sector, and was continuing to branch out all over the core as far as Nzoth and Coruscant. In 1005aby he solidified his grasp in the Coruscant sector by planning and executing the CoCo Town bombing. A rival spice lord, a female Bothan by the name of Borska Fey had threatened Eso saying "If you leave Coruscant with your sad spice dealers now, I wont have you killed".
Eso replied in a hologram that showed him submitting to the lord and declaring hell leave imediatly. The Spice lord then proceded to pack what spice he had on the planet and depart. That's what seemed to have happened at least, the bothan felt she had an easy victory and let her guard down. Eso's men then proceded to plant bombs all around the bothans largest factories that very night. The explosion had depleted all of her resources requiring her to submit to her enemy and join him.
Being the top dog in the Core wasnt easy, it came with alot of work and alot ememies. Even if Eso were to double his amount of thugs and guards it still wouldn't be enough to take on his biggest rivals the Hutts and deffinatley not the Alliance and UI. Not only did he not have the military abilities of his rivals he didnt have the neccesary amount of spice to keep on top. When Eso and his advisers met to discuss the problems, they decided to contact the third largest player in the Core, Markuata, and discuss a merger like deal that kept Esomos in power over the core only under Iban Salid and in turn they moved Markuata's spice. The deal has yet to go down, but it is almost a sure thing.

Sure thing was maybe a miscalculations... things couldn't have gone worse. The deal was going smooth, Iban was a little trouble on getting to settle. Other than that things were good... except with the UI agent that put a gun in Esomos's back. His best and most trusted guards had been apparently threatened with criminal charges to turn a blind eye. He rushed out of the meeting place, ran down the street, and was on the verge of escape, when a stun bolt from the UI agent blaster struck his back. He didn't stand a chance in courts, not even with his influence over the core. The Universal Investigations had bugged the meeting place, recording the entire discussion about operations and the whole gig. Luckily along the way to the lab his datapad containing even more information got "lost".
He landed on the Corellian Planetary Penitentiary orbiting over Corellia, nicknamed Exville by the inmates, due to Corellia being his home planet. He was given a sentence that would leave him old and frail by the time he got out. He had expected Iban to get him out, but after the bust he hadn't heard from him once. Unless he wanted to waste his life in prison he would need to think of a plan. He didn't have any problems with inmates in prison, not even the guards could touch him. He was protected by the "Exville Pushers" a prison gang with direct ties to his syndicate.
They were a group of prisoners that were enforcers and pushers for his spice trade, that got caught and thrown in Planetary. From inside they distributed spice in the prison system, and pushing out any other dealers, getting rid of all the homegrown spice and smuggling in the Syndicate's spices. There leader was a highly intelligent former top tier enforcer, and close friend of Eso, named Gresdan. Esomos had recognized him as one of the smartest men he knew. He was a master mind at planning, mostly heist that involved stealing spice and destroying key elements of rivals. He even devised the Coco Town Bombings, leaving only enough evidence to let the rivals know they did it. Also he made more civil plots, involving plans to extort and blackmail.
Esomos figured if he didn't get out of Exville, he would never see his trade empire expand into greatness. So he charged Gresdan with making a plan that would get him out. Gresden came up with a plot to black mail a high ranking official in the Corellian Sector, a Twi'lik named Jur'Atar. This twi'lik was a sick puppy, he may have killed a prostitute, but no one will ever know. At least since Esomos went free within a week the Syndicate contacting the person... must have found a loophole.
Esomos was back on top, but his spice empire had suffered greatly. Old rivals teamed up and got back territory, along with the huts taking as much as they could. He could try to contact Merkuata, but his pride would not let him, he didn't want anything to do with them. He had around a third of his territory and assets, and had only the Corellia sector left, he would need to act fast in order to keep even that.
For the sake of his spice empire, he expanded, his syndicate are now half spice, half smuggling. Procuring a loose alliance with the shady and secretive Exchange him becoming one of the Crime Lords.

The Night Rider was a Varges Personal Yacht Esomos had bought 7 years ago. The particular ship model was meant to be a Luxury Yacht, but due to the designers leaving the ship highly customizable it could fit almost any role with the right parts. One of the smugglers Eso employed suggested it to him, to fit both his luxury and capability roles. He bought one and switched out all of the stock components down to the ships systems. The ship originally had two more bedrooms on the stern but he replaced them to fit a higher grade engine and hyperdrive. He outfitted two retractable laser canons under the ship that are invisible to any sort of scanner available. The bottom level of the ship has 3 guest rooms and a master bedroom that is heavily customized for Eso along with all the systems and components. On the main level there is a grand dining room with 7 tables and a bar in the center. On this level there is a set of stairs leading up to the cock pit were the systems controls and crew bunking is on the bow end. On the Stern end of the main level there is an elevator that goes up two the observation deck were Eso's office is located.
