Anaxes

Twilight was quickly falling onto the Galactic Alliance. The darkest of days were coming, if not already have arrived on the horizon. The evacuation was moving as smoothly as possible. Rounds of ships exited into hyperspace on a timely manner of both civilians and military personnel. Immediate ships and supplies had been sent to Alsakan where the Alliance was setting up their defense against the Mandalorian and Imperial invaders. Meanwhile, civilians were sent and dispersed to the south eastern regions of the galaxy. Designated refugee worlds were quickly being established, though of course politics came also and many worlds were beginning to close their borders. The exodus from the core was massive, and it surely would cause those who did open their worlds to the war displaced civilians, would more than certainly overfill quickly.

The Jedi and GA were working quickly together. All who were left were stragglers, rebels, anti-alliance, anti-Jedi beings who either welcomed the Mandalorians and the Imperials, or feared to lose everything they had worked to accommodate in their lifetime. SpecForce made their way though alliance bases, destroying and corrupting any information the Imperials may have found valuable. Though given Anaxes was a pinnacle of worlds known for their superb military might, this task was proving to be harder and longer to accomplish than anticipated.

The Valient-class star destroyer kept out of the traffic of the ships either jumping to to the Alsakan system or onto the Hydian Way. Its scanners running as they kept vigilant of enemy forces. Sensors have failed at Brentaal, though they knew the enemy was there, predictability of their arrival became anytime. Along with the patrolling star destroyer was Rogue Wing either scouting or escorting ships as they exited from the atmosphere.

Jedi Master Ebberla Daw sat in the cockpit of her R-25 Rogue-class starfighter, part of the patrol as they scouted the outer reaches of Anaxes Space.

"Rogue Six, nothing on the scanners." overcame a pilot. Ebb and the others zipped back around, orbiting over and under the star destroyer before staring another round.

"Be vigilant, they're coming Rogue Six." Ebberla spoke, she could feel the Force stirring, more than the usual condoning dark tides it has brought in the last few days.

Evacuations were going well enough. Carrie was feeling anxious, waiting for the Mandos or Imperials to rear their ugly helmets. But she had been busy for several hours just making sure that all the stuff that needed to go bye-bye was gone so the enemy couldn't get a hold of it. She'd been running around half a dozen different Alliance bases for the better half the day doing her part. If nothing else she knew how to move records, destroy records, and plant false information. Though it wasn't exactly part of her orders she did leave behind the occasional false lead, nothing that could get her or the Alliance into any trouble. Just things that might set off automated defenses if they somehow shut them down elsewhere, or would just give them the wrong information.

This was one of the last few places they needed to get into - a server room that connected to the rest of the facility. "You finished over there?" she called to a squad-mate. A click in her ear told her all she needed to know. The door opened up to the server room and she moved in. She didn't even have to give hand-signals for her squad-mates to understand what needed to be done. At this point even her Sergeant was just letting her do her job. She came up to an access terminal and began punching in what she needed to, her skills with hacking high enough that she didn't even bother using the log-in information that was given to her. After all, there was no need to leave any trace. Not that it would matter once she was done.

A few minutes would pass by and she thought about the impending attack. Something told her she needed to be quick and that she about to run into a road block, so to speak. Then she hit it. "Hey, Sarge! I need someone in the admin office. When the regs evac'd they must have severed his connection."

"At least you called me by rank this time. Three, you're with me."

With that the Sergeant and another soldier left. The delay that was created by regular soldiers who obviously didn't have a clue how to properly take care of their stuff annoyed the absolute poodoo out of Corporal Saret. It would have cut at least five to ten minutes off their time to not have to deal with direct connection. But at least it gave Sarge a chance to just shoot the drives and be done with it.

Carrie continued to erase all the pertinent information, occasionally coming across something that seemed relevant enough to move. This she did, to a datapad that was issued to her for this. After that was done, which took a few minutes, she moved on to setting loops and false backtraces. It was undermined when the station CO's system logged on. She went to deal with that but it quickly disappeared and a couple clicks in her ear told her what needed to be done had been. She went back through her steps to set up false information, loops, and all the tricks she could easily do. She also decided to have fun with this. She plugged in a personal datastick and decided to push a virus into the system that would erode all information of anything that plugs into the network. Of course, she still had the network entirely disconnected but who knew how badass the enemy's techs were. She didn't care, she wanted them to suffer if they did get anything working.

Another couple of minutes would pass by and she finally stepped away from the system. She turned around in time to see the Sarge come back in, a det pack in hand. She gave the thumbs up and everyone moved, Sarge setting up the det so it would blow the entire system. They had rigged a lot of this specific base, knowing that it was too pertinent. Weapons information, including prototypes that Carrie wanted to get her hands on, as well as combat sims and information about fleet movements had been here, but even if they survived the thorough scrubbing they wouldn't survive being blown up. The reason they hadn't done that just to start off with was because of information they needed to keep for the Alliance brass to take a look at. Nothing that would be transmitted but she'd likely be handing it to the head of the Defense Force in person, unless her Commander wanted to play peedunky for a date with the big-wigs.

The small six-man team beat feet to the entrance hall, calling for an extraction over a secure channel on their radio. They hadn't heard any news yet so it was likely they weren't about to get hit. And as long as the other teams managed to do their jobs correctly Carrie and her team were headed off planet.

When you are the man put in charge of a planetary evacuation suffice to say that it was a stressful affair. While Anaxes wasn't a big or very populated planet by galactic standards evacuating and directing efforts to get a little over 500 million people of the planet was a logistic nightmare. Too much for any one man to handle! And as such the Alliance and the Jedi Order had to work together closely to do what needed to be done.

Establishing a team of competent people Jedi Master Guhoo Armstrong was on the ground, directing certain efforts and staying in touch with the other operation leaders via holocaster. The first part of the evacuation went smoothly for the most part. Ships were leaving the planet one after the other, no crashes or anything like that so far. Rogue Wing wasn't reporting anything either. Civilians were escorted of the planet by the millions, tech was being carried of and Alliance Special Forces were working double time to disable certain terminals and sources of information as to make things more difficult for the Imperials and the Mandalorians while the battle on Brentaal IV raged on, though judging by the latest reports it wasn't going that well...

Standing in a small tent while just outside masses of people were directed towards a transport by some soldiers the Battle Master of the Jedi Order wore his Battle Armor and partial cloak over it as he talked to one of the men tasked with handling logistics of the ships arriving and leaving. "Captain Hackett. How are things on your end?" The intensely muscular human asked as he observed the hologram appearing from the image caster on his forearm. Navy Captain Tom Hackett, a very well respect Navy officer and a true team player Guhoo found out.

The elder man was partially bald, his age of 46 starting to catch up to him, though his hair was black in color as he addressed the Jedi Master. "Master Armstrong, Rogue Wing reports no sightings of incoming Mandalorian or Imperial ships so far. No problems with the ships leaving either. How are things down there?"

Guhoo looked to his right for a moment before looking back at the image of the Captain once more. "They're going somehow..." It wasn't what anyone wanted to happen but it did, and now they had to do what they had to do... Sensing a familiar feeling through the force even in this sea of people Guhoo cut the transmission short. "If there are any problems with Special Forces or at the Anaxes citadel contact me. Armstrong out." The good Captain nodded as the conversation ended and he tended to the reports coming in from Alliance Special Forces, things looked good on their end as well...

Though there was one thing that they would have to try and deal with as the Battle Master would soon find out. The blond haired man walked out of his tent and observed as the shuttle closed its doors and left for space, intending to transfer the people on board a cruiser and return for more people while another ship already landed as to take more people in.

Considering that the military was involved this whole operation was going quite smoothly despite the small things Guhoo and his fellow Jedi had to tend to. Through the communication device he addressed a particular Jedi out there. "Knight Cloudjumper, come in? What's your status? How long before you rejoin us?" Around this time Guhoo would hopefully see a certain Jedi Master, one that he actually met only recently and came to like quite a bit. Tytos...

Guhoo would find Tytos at the perimeter of the spaceport which they were using as their basecamp for today's evacuation. The Noghri Jedi Master was high above the ground, balancing himself on a holonet transceiver some 20 meters in the air. Though most would have quickly found themselves dislodged from such a perch thanks to the prevailing crosswinds, Tytos was able to combine his own natural abilities with the steadying of his Wan-Shen to give himself the graceful balance of an avian.

The reason he had taken to the high ground in this instance was because a growing feeling of...disquiet. As soon as he set foot on the planet Tytos had been bombarded by the emotions of those fleeing Anaxes; fear, anxiety, panic, these were all things that were to be considered normal in such a situation. What had drawn Tytos to his perch, however, was something different. Something far more unsettling and sinister. And so he gazed off in the direction that this feeling was coming from. Even with the Force to assist his vision, he couldn't make out any physical sign to accompany the feeling. Or could he? Perhaps there, just on the edge of his sight, was it...a smudge? Tytos shook his head, and in so doing realized that Guhoo had approached.

Tytos quickly lowered himself from his position with what could only be described as feline grace: Tytos was one of the few people in the galaxy who could be said to look dangerous no matter what they were doing, and only a small part of that could be attributed to his fierce physical characteristics.

Once Tytos approached Guhoo he quickly folded himself over his Wan-Shen in what had become his typical sign of greeting to his new friend and superior. Though Tytos was confident - as only a true martial artist could be - that he could best Guhoo Armstrong one-on-one if it ever came to that, the little Noghri was not so foolish as to begrudge the human his rank as Battlemaster. Tytos was a warrior, pure and simple, whereas Guhoo Armstrong combined the best of that noble profession with the strategy and know-how of a decorated general. When the two had met only recently Tytos had immediately recognized these attributes in the man, and so had wordlessly attached himself to the Battlemaster as a friend and dedicated blade. After all, every good general needed a front-line sort of man for particularly hairy situations.

"Battlemaster. I hope the evacuation is progressing smoothly. I mean to cause no alarm when I say this, but trouble may be heading our way. I sense...a conflict approaching."

Despite the less-than-sunny news Tytos was delivering, his voice and tone were no different than ever; low, gravelly, and seemingly unhurried and uncaring. He could have just as easily been advising his friend that their lunch order was running late as the fact that trouble was headed their way.

The shuttle came in after a few minutes while Carrie and her team waited anxiously. They wanted to see the fireworks from a little ways away. In the mean-time Sarge had radioed to the other teams to check on their status. One team was still setting things up, and it was the one Carrie didn't trust. There was one hard-case that acted like a damn droid, one was serious peedunky bantha poodoo, and one just liked blowing stuff up a little bit too much. Reminded her of the one of the sleemos from her father's unit before his death.

Carrie and the team climbed aboard the shuttle and turned to watch the distance from the facility, counting down to set off the charges. Just as Captain Hackett came over the radio she set off the charges. "Good luck to those wanna-be laserbrains at finding our stuff, Sir! Everything's been removed, deleted, or destroyed. Team Two is finishing up and everyone else is already on the way back to the ship!" she reported up.

"At least you said 'sir' this time," Sarge pointed out. "...instead of calling him a space slug."

"Could at any time, Sarge," Carrie responded with a mischievous wink. "We should should be back to the ship soon. Do we need to stop and pick up the frea-Jedi?"

"You're the closest and we need to get everyone off-world ASAP, Corporal. Have your squad report to me once we're done. Hackett out." Captain Hackett responded, ending the exchange. "You heard him! Pick up the freaks and get home!"

"Remind me to tape your mouth shut when we get there, Corporal," Sarge said. "I'm feeling teased." Carrie shot an evil grin at the Sergeant who simply shook his head.

You had to give it to the Noghri, he knew how to attract attention whether he did it on purpose or not. Reaching him the Battlemaster once more tried to reach the Jedi Knight through his communicator but to no avail. So far almost all civilians had been evacuated... Which was a good thing because civilian casualties would be minimal once the orbital bombardment started, but it was not a good sign. The invaders were coming closer and closer to Coruscant and there was even more news that would soon reach the blond haired human.

He'd soon be informed of a most interesting development regarding the Alliance Military and his status in it... But so far his attention was directed at two things, his comm as he waited on a status update, and the Jedi Master that just came down and greeted him. Even though he knew Tytos for a short period of time the respect Guhoo had for the Blademaster was unquestionable. Offering a slight bow of his own Guhoo saw several troopers carry some tech on board a transport and head of towards the massive ship in space.

And on that note thing actually were progressing rather well, considering the amount of time they had to prepare and the difficulty that the Anaxes military bases presented. "My friend... the evacuation is almost over. Pretty much the only people left are the soldiers that want to stay behind and fight and Imperial supporters. Some soldiers used the word defectors but it is their choice I suppose... Also do you sense it as well?" Guhoo's blue eyes met the sharp eyes of the warrior standing beside him. A tremor in the force warning them...

"Brentaal IV has fallen..." There were still a few brave soul fighting out there, whether it was for survival or a small victory Guhoo hoped they wouldn't lose their lives. He was well aware that you would have casualties in a war, but that didn't mean that he couldn't pray for the least amount of dead soldiers possible. "They are coming... We don't have much time..." The Battlemaster spoke trying for a second to see past all the fear that the people of Anaxes emitted, he tried to see beyond the fog and the clouds and what he saw was a fleet of ships and armed men... It wasn't a clear image but he sure as hell was glad that people supported his motion of bringing in additional ships to defend the Core. Apparently a very smart lady had already done so for a previous battle and decided to keep the extra ships around...

Looking over at the reptilian Jedi Guhoo looked on in front of him, as he saw a rather large group of Imperial supporters cheering and welcoming the incoming forces. The Jedi didn't say anything, there was nothing to be said really. Their mission was to come here and organize the evacuation of the planet and see it through, but if someone wanted to stay behind that was their decision...

Conner had volunteered to help evacuate a planet. War was brewing and he wanted to help however possible. Alongside him would be two other Jedi; one was Master Armstrong, the other was Master Tytos. Conner hadn't met either one of them but now was as good a time as any.

Connor got into his old Jedi starfighter and made his way to Anaxes. It was a long flight so Conner took the time to read about the two Jedi he would be with. He thought that he should at least know their names and what they looked like. It took a long time to get to Anaxes, several hours by Conner's estimation. Touching down on the planet's surface Conner found himself close to a battle zone. A handful of soldiers were escorting civilians away. Conner decided to lend a hand and made his way towards the soldiers. He provided a distraction and covering attacks so the soldiers could focus on helping the civilians.

Hearing the voice over his communicator Conner pressed the button to speak. "This is Conner Cloudjumper. I'm currently helping some soldiers. I should be joining you shortly" Conner said. It took several minutes but Conner was able to cover for the soldiers and then he left. As he ran towards the rendezvous point Conner spoke into his communicator again. "Master Armstrong, this is Conner. I'm en route. Should be there momentarily" Conner said.

Using the force to speed himself up Conner covered the distance to the rendezvous point quickly. He met up with the soldiers he had helped and led them to where he was to meet the other Jedi. The soldiers and civilians poured over the hill where everyone was seemingly waiting on them. Seeing the other two Jedi Conner walked over and bowed before speaking. "Sorry I'm late, I got held up" Conner said.

The two Jedi Masters remained at their headquarters for a while longer, the only time they left was to help Alliance soldiers calm a certain riot but that didn't take too much of their time. The two Blademasters would be one of the last ones of this planet as Guhoo kept receiving reports of ships leaving and handed out assignments. To some the title of Battlemaster could be misleading and lead one to believe that Guhoo would be just another lightsaber swinger mad for combat.

Certainly Tytos and the man himself would take offense to such depictions of the Jedi but that was far from what the man was. He was also a competent General and Commander. Something that would very shortly land him another position and job within the Alliance. But more to that later on... The two jedi would sense the Knight arriving, but he was too late. And as he turned around to face the long haired Kiffar Guhoo shut of a transmission he handled previously. "It's alright Cloudjumper we took care of everything. But you are too late, we were just about to order the last of the troops of the planet. I would advise you do the same."

For there wasn't much time left. Soon the Mandalorians and the Imperials would arrive, but all they would find would be an abandoned world, destroyed military facilities and records, and some civilian supporters to their cause that refused to leave the planet. Anaxes would offer no resistance...

If Tytos had been your "typical" Jedi, specifically the more philosophically inclined type, he would have likely greeted Knight Cloudjumper's arrival with some sort of cryptic phrase, like "A Jedi is never late, he arrives exactly when he intends to."

But Tytos was far from "typical."

And so, barely taking a moment to pause from polishing the blade of his Wan-Shen on the edge of his tunic, Tytos merely nodded at the Jedi Knight. He would let Guhoo take care of the talking, what little was needed of it. Guhoo was good for that sort of thing, at least better than Tytos was, that was for sure. Guhoo was good at a lot of things.

Take this blasted evacuation, for example.

The warrior spirit that burned unceasingly within Tytos chafed under the weight of retreating and abandoning this planet without even putting up a fight. Strategically, though, it made the most sense. Tytos shook his head slightly as these thoughts passed through his mind; strategy, at least on a global scale, would never be his strong point. He was better suited to being given an objective and completing it. Point Tytos at the enemy and he would defeat them, whether it was one or a hundred mattered little to the small-statured Noghri.

Letting out a slight growl - the only outward sign of his agitation - Tytos turned to his friend and superior.

"Shall we go, then, Battlemaster? Unless you wish to stay and harry their forward deployments?"

Tytos couldn't prevent the slight sound of hope from creeping into his gravelly voice.

Leaving the recently arrived Knight to his own devices the Battlemaster felt it through the force, Breantaal IV had indeed fallen and with it a lot of good men and women. He too would have liked nothing better than to stay behind and mess up the first wave of the enemies, let them experience two Blademasters that were very much prepared for a fight. While Guhoo was a Jedi, he was also a warrior and a martial artist and the phrase 'will to fight' wasn't misplaced on either Tytos or him.

Putting his hand on Tytos' shoulder Guhoo shook his head as a small gunship with several soldiers landed several feet away from them. "I wish it were so simple my friend. I would like nothing better that to do just that. But Alsakan and possibly even Coruscant need us more right now. For we have not seen the best of our enemies just yet, I'm sure the Sith will join the fray soon enough. And I don't want to be a bad host and not welcome them personally." Looking at the gunship Guhoo tapped Tytos' shoulder twice and started walking towards it.

"Come..." Even though the words were said, there did not pass without leaving Guhoo with a heavy heart. Abandoning an entire planet didn't feel good, especially when you were the one who was in charge of the evacuation but it was necessary as ships and troops from all over the galaxy were coming in and preparing for a final stand against the Empire and their allies.

Dark times indeed, but the Alliance and the Jedi Order wasn't without brave men who would stand and fight. And soon a new Supreme Commander of their forces would take the helm in the upcoming battle as he now boarded a gunship alongside another Jedi and what remained of the Alliance forces. In a matter of minutes once their shuttle would leave Anaxes' gravity well behind Guhoo's comm unit activated and Captain Hackett had a message for the man. It was to meet him on board the man's ship, the Floating Bee for an emergency meeting of the Alliance military generals...

Master Daw and the other squadron fighters continued their rounds, with the occasional show offs from a few others in her team in an attempt to put her Corellian and Jedi instincts to the test. Though they were not entirely unable to phase her as she felt her heart pace rapidly, fearful their games would end up killing one another in the process. The astromech droid piped in with its sensor readouts as well as the reports from the Valiant Star Destroyer, continuously analyzing, looking for any subtle hints of enemy entrance into the system.

The squadron looped back around Anaxes, off in the distance ships sat quietly, the glow of the sublight engines speckled against the backdrop of distant stars and systems before dimming and blinking out of sight. A sigh of relief could be felt in the Force as the most recent series of military and personal transports jumped into hyperspace, now who were left were the last of the ships from Anaxes, including that of the military commanders and Jedi who assisted in the evacuation. Rogue Wing continued their scout, however, didn't venture as far off into the out reaches of the system as previously routine.

The Indomitable moved around the fortress world and out of the gravity well as it now ready itself to jump to Alsakan. Its Admiral receiving word the last of the transports were leaving Anaxes, including the Jedi Battle Master. The order came through for Rogue Squadron to also follow behind.

"One more round Rogues." Master Daw ordered over the comms, they weren't exactly in the clear yet, "We'll be right behind -" the astromech driod beeped with concern, the computer translated and Ebberla frowned to what she read, her instincts were also alerted her to uneasiness. "Indomitable, this is Rogue Two. Sensors are acting up, our best bet its the Empire."

The fighters cut their path short, looping back around and forming up with the rest of the Rogues.

"Copy that Rogue Two." the Indomitable's Admiral replied, "All craft prepare for the jump to lightspeed."

The Jetii could be equivocated no longer.

The Mandalorian fleet screamed out of hyperspace tout de suite. The pogrom of the Jedi and the Galactic Alliance would begin now. Interceptors streaked through the void in swarms, cogent means of emblazoning fear into the hearts of their opposition. The Jedi had been exceptionally stalwart in their resistance, but their efforts were becoming sluggish. Their evacuation of the planet had been cursory enough, as pestiferous as it was, but it was irrelevant now.

The tactical display painted in phosphorescent hues of blue, mirrored in the T of Vodinh's visor, exhibited the locations and trajectories of all ships he commanded. Brown eyes, veiled by the helmet of the Mandalorian's beskar'gam, oscillated between the display and the opposing fleet ahead. Hands clasped within each other behind his back, Vodinh analyzed the information and contemplated all plausible avenues of assault. His delay in initiating the dogfight was short lived, rapidly arriving to the most expedient of assault methods. The Mandalorian's posture shifted for a fleeting moment, the ineffable battle about to begin.

"Akaata Solus bal akaata t'ad, ara'novor te me'suumbe," Vodinh barked to his charges. "Akaata ehn, morut'yc te ashi eso. Can'galbe, ke serim! Ram'or!"

Variegated blaster bolts striated through space in a bombardment. Each of the capital ships and their respective fighter squadrons broke away to fulfill orders, Vodinh observing the panoramic soiree of war. It would be short lived, but it was a sight to behold. The integrity and magnitude of the unbridled Mandalorian fleet was breathtaking, awe inspiring. As much as he disliked it, Vodinh wasn't here to eliminate the Jetii and the Galactic Alliance, simply to harass them as they fled like cowards. Not all of them would live though, and the aliit'alor of Clan Fett was all too happy to snuff out what few lives he could.

"Pirunir sur'haaise!" he bellowed to his fellow vode, arousing a cacophony of cheers and battle cries.

"Akaata Solus bal akaata t'ad, ara'novor te me'suumbe. Akaata ehn, morut'yc te ashi eso. Can'galbe, ke serim! Ram'or!"
Battalion one and battalion two, blockade the planets. Battalion three, secure the other side. Starships, take aim! Attack!

Hopefully I posted the "correct" way. I know the basis of what's supposed to happen, so I hope I stuck within the guidelines well enough. I apologize if I didn't.

OoC: Sorry for the wait, had become much busier than expected.

And indeed the Empire had come to Anaxes.

Mandalorian fighters screamed through the voids of space, full fire on craft that were slow to move into position. Brillant balls of fire erupted from craft unprepared to handle lucky shots made by the Mandalorian command. The Jedi Master wince as she felt the death concussion from a neighboring freighter, her sensors sounding alarm alerting her she was too close to danger. Though the chaos outside the ship seemed to threaten to engulf the nerves and minds for some, Ebberla remained calm, her mind and body submerged into the waves of the Force as she devoted her concentration to her piloting.

Angle those deflector shields R9.” The droid squealed in agreement as Ebberla ordered her commands, “Lure those fighters away from those freighters, Rogues. Indomitable, get out of the gravity well and make the jump!

The fighter group sling shot around the planet, throwing themselves at a group of enemy fighters on their way around for another attack. Her ship rocked as the shields absorbed the blasts, Rogue Wing still in formation, crisscrossed through enemy fire. The astromech droid beeped with concern.

No, as soon as the Indomitable jumps, we’ll make our jump too.” She shook her head, “Sensors R9, the sensors, you keep the computer running for now, I’ll handle the rest.” She shifted the yoke sharply, twisting the fighter in a sharp arc, evading fire, the droid kept rambling, “Just because I have the Force doesn’t mean I know where every shot is coming from.” The droid beeped in a sarcastic disapproval, “Remind me to have you wiped when we get back to Tython.” Ebb opened fire on a craft, the fireball scathing the bottom of her ship as she flew through, the droid let out a strings of beeps and squeals, “Of course I did that on purpose. Indomitable, Rogue two, we won’t be able to handle this for much longer.

And they wouldn't have to. Large metal doors opened as Jedi Master Guhoo Armstrong reached the bridge of the Indomitable. There was an air of seriousness about him as he felt the enemy arrive. Leaving the hangar behind the man took a quick turbolift ride that brought him to the bridge. The Alliance soldiers didn't really bother to check him as everyone knew who the man was.

Without wasting much time he addressed the human Navy Captain who served as his second in command. "What's our status?" The man, soon to be Admiral Hacket held his hands behind his back and turned towards the blond haired Jedi. Even with everything going on he remained calm and collected, though he was fully aware of what was going on and demanded nothing less then perfection in this final stage of the evacuation. "We're entering hyperspace in ten seconds sir." Although much like most men and women on board the good Captain would have liked nothing better than to send a few missiles at the Sith and Mandalorians.

But the wait wasn't long and exactly within ten seconds the Indomitable jumped to light speed and left Anaxes behind. All the other Alliance crafts did the same while left Rogue Wing the last ones out. But it hardly felt like a win to the Battle Master, for Anaxes had fallen without a fight and that left a sour taste in his mouth. As the ship entered the unique tunnel of hyperspace Armstrong and Hackett were notified that their presences were required for an emergency meeting of the Alliance military.

Soon they'd be informed that Captain Hackett was officially being promoted to rank of Admiral and in light of the fact that the Supreme Commander, Count Magal Organa was missing in action, he was being removed from that position and in his stead Jedi Master Guhoo Armstrong came in. Proving his worth in this massive evacuation the man was temporarily put in charge of the Alliance Military. No small task by any stretch of the imagination, especially considering that both Brentaal IV and Anaxes have fallen.

And even though taking over two entire planets wouldn't happen over night it was clear that, quite possibly, the final stages of the war were upon them. And it didn't look good... They needed to gather their forces for a stand...

Tytos followed Guhoo to the bridge, his reptilian eyes narrowed to slits and a low growl emanating from somewhere deep in his throat. It was the only outward sign of his frustration, but for someone like Tytos - usually as calm as a rock - it was quite a show. As the ship, and the rest of the Republic forces shortly thereafter, jumped into the safe recesses of hyperspace Tytos had to fight the urge to lash out and destroy something.

Deep down he knew that retreat was the only sound strategic option available to them, but the warrior within him hated it. He turned to Guhoo as the hum of activity on the bridge continued unabated.

"So this is how it begins..."

The human that was Captain Hackett was called by one of his men, apparently a transmission had been received and he tended to it. Guhoo saw the man walk away and suspected what it was about, they'd call for him soon enough. He too wasn't happy with this development. Giving up an entire world just to slow the enemy down. The next battle would be big indeed. And probably the last stand of the Alliance, as Alsakan was the only thing between Coruscant and the invaders.

The blonde that was Guhoo Armstrong looked at one of the men as he did his job and did some kind of check on the reactors, keeping a close eye on their road through hyperspace. He didn't stare, to any outside observer it seemed like the Battle Master only took a casual look at a Navy officer before he turned to face his fellow Jedi. The frustration that his noghri friend felt was shared by the human who looked at him for a second before looking at the massive durasteel door behind them.

"One way or another it has begun. The last stand of the Alliance..." The man took a deep and long breath, his blue eyes revealing his thoughts. It wasn't hard. He thought about what was to be done now. Gathering their forces, preparing for the battle at hand. And another secret mission... But even then there would be surprises in the future as an old friend would summon the Battle Master in this hour.

Tytos was right, one way or another it had begun. The biggest battle of the war was upon them, the one who would decide the fate of the galaxy... And sure enough soon the Battle master would be summoned by the Alliance Generals and Admirals to prepare and lead these brave men and women in this dark moment. For he would now add another title to his name, Supreme Commander.

The ship rocked as Ebberla was hit from the concussion of the blast behind her. Warning lights light up the cockpit, R9 whistled and shrilled as the Jedi worked to regain control of the ship. The other Rogues were having just as many issues, obviously outnumbered as they did their best not to be herded into the hands of the Mandalorians.

Admist the chaos of rings and reports from Rogue Wing, R9 managed to inform the Indomitable had made the jump to lightspeed and was safely out of the system. Ebberla let out a sigh of relief and turned her craft sharply, "Rogue Wing, this is Rogue Two, lets get out of here." she said forming up with another group of Rogue class fighters. Mandalorian craft were still on them, but their tactics were quickly recognized as harassment. "Got the coordinates R9?" Ebberla asked, the droid beeped sarcastically, replying it didn't have such said coordinates, Ebberla rolled her eyes, "Jumping to lightspeed in 3...2...1"

And with a blink, the pilots of Rogue Wing jumped into hyperspace.

The warping of the stars was welcoming sight, but the battle was long from over as the Alliance prepared itself at Alsakan.
