The grotesque nature of Zubin's death, a trademark of one of the gangs on Borgo Prime called the Ravagers, and the fact it took place on one of the docks, started a cold war within the shadowport. The merchants and guilds that had operated what legitimate businesses the station had were enraged; the peace had been disturbed, and with the evidence that had been planted, corruption that ran through high officials had been exposed. Ironically, the man that had been killed actually hadn't been affiliated with the gangs, which made his death all that more shocking, and the fabricated evidence by Nine also ensured its acceptance.

The silent and manmade chaos had been the signal for the emergence of phase two, which Five constructed and required more of his tongue than his blade. Seated at a corner booth of a diner named "The Copper Can," he waited for his contact that would help him establish a dominant presence for the Empire, but within the shadows. There was little reason the diner had been chosen except for the sign that had been plastered on the large window out front: "BEST PIE IN THE SECTOR!!" A plate of that very peach pie was in front of him, and when he took his first bite, he made a somewhat shocked face because it actually wasn't that bad.

His waitress came to the table after a few moments, a questioning look on her face as she asked, "What did you think, Mr. Knight?" Five offered her a smile back before replying, "Excellent, just like the service." She smiled back with a playful chuckle, appreciative of the compliment as most of the customers and residents were tense from the war. After she left to address another customer, he checked the chrono on his wrist before he leaned back against the booth with one arm stretched along the spine, completely relaxed. It would only be a few moments before his contact arrived.

The weapons business had been a great success on Coruscant. The constant flow of weapons being channeled through different layers toward the Empire had kept them running at full blast for months. The infusion of cash had allowed Jackie to push out the other gangs that constantly pushed against him.

It was time to expand, time for bigger and better things for his family. That's when an opportunity came out on Borgo Prime. He hadn't asked many questions about the origin of the offer; he knew better than that. He had taken a chance on Ava, and it had worked out perfectly. Jackie was a gambler at his core, and you true gamblers knew you never stopped while things were looking up.

He walked into The Copper Can, whistling as he made his way back to where his contact said he would be. He slid into the bench opposite the man. "Hey, props to you for choosing a diner. The shitty bar is overplayed..." he said with a smile, lounging back on the bench.

"Can I get you anything, doll?" the waitress came back out an instant later. "I hear the pie is good; let's go with that!" he smiled. "Name's Jackie; nice to meet ya." he turned back to his contact once the waitress had left.

On cue, a Chiss strolled into diner and whistled a catchy tune, the jolly mood a stark difference compared to most residents on the station. Five's lips formed into a half smirk, the sight an unexpected one even for him, as this actually appeared to be his honest personalty compared to the fabricated ones he came across daily. After the seat was taken across from him, he offered a nonchalent shrug before replying, "Don't give me too much credit. They have terrible tequila." What they called tequila here tasted like pisswater. Eitherway, his posion of choice was bourbon and he didn't mind being given a reason not to drink other types of alcohol.

The waitress came back and tended to Jackie, both of them offering a smile to her as she giggled before offering a little curtsy. "I'll get that pie right away. It seems quite popular tonight!" She innocently pointed out before taking her departure and leaving them in peace.

When Jackie turned back to introduce himself, he would find Five already watching him, his gaze flicking over his features as he if was peeling the chiss' skin back and examing his thoughts and intentions. Despite the intensity in his eyes, his response came instantly with a nod made back to his contact before he introduced himself, "And you as well. You may call me Mr. Knight or Mr. K, whichever you prefer." He already knew Jackie's name, having done his homework and reading the file on what he and Six achieved. The results spoke for themselves but this was still the first time he had personally worked with him. Jackie would be able to get a hint of his nature the way his utensils, plate, and even food were neatly arranged.

Instead of diving right into what he wanted, Five asked Jackie a simple question, "How much do you know of what's happening on Borgo Prime?"

He laughed, a small snort escaping. "I mean, I could have told you that just from looking at this place..." he said with a shake of his head.

"Very formal..." he said with a tinge of disappointment. "Can't take yourself too seriously out there, Mr. K." he said, lounging back slightly. The man likely intimidated most of the people around him, and Jackie found him a bit unnerving, but he had played the game long enough to have quite the relaxed poker face. He looked back at him with blank, solid red eyes.

He shrugged. "I know it's a place that values its freedom." he said. That is what caught his attention in the first place. It was the perfect place for him to expand without constantly having to worry about Coruscant's security. They were harmless enough if you weren't too much of a thorn in their side but it would still be great not to have to worry about them as much.

"Some people are sayin' there is a shakeup happening. Old blood being chased out..." he said as the pie was brought out. "Here ya go!" the waitress said. "Y'all let me know if you need anything else." she said before moving away again.

Jackie took a bite before letting out a satisfied sound. The pie was a good choice.
