Vilox Pazela extended a hand away from his robes and clamped his fingers around the handle, pulling away the door and allowing him to step over the threshold. When the door was open, he began another venture, just as he had been doing for the past months since his arrival on Korriban. His yellow predatory eyes gleamed through the under veil of his hood, analyzing, studying and observing everything that was before him. He was a calculative, careful man; and the company that he found himself in on the Sith home world made him paranoid and anxious. Here were men and women whom posed a considerable threat to his own welfare and safety. It was a different environment to the one that he had found himself to be raised up in on Almania. Criminals were dangerous but could be predictable. Sith were not. In fact, the Sith were the most dangerous people in the galaxy, "And I intend to become one," he thought.

Despite their unpredictability, Vilox found himself to be once again left to his own devices. The door that lead to the Heresies archives closed behind him. It was per his usual routine to venture into the Academy from the settlement Dreshdae and read for a few hours. In his ventures into the Archives, he had learned about the Sith Code and the origins of the Sith. He was surprised to have learned that the Sith Empire came about from exiled Jedi from the Jedi Order. He had spent a time pondering as to how Ajunta Pall, XoXaan and Karness Muur had discovered the Dark side of the Force. At the end of his studies into the Second Great Schism, he had concluded that it was because of these three Dark Jedi that he and the men before him could study the manifestations of the Dark side and the knowledge of the Sith.

The opening of the Academy doors kicked up sandy dust in front of him. The Horuset sun shone onto his person, but provided no warmth. Korriban reminded him of his home, Pydyr. Just like Almania's third moon, Korriban was covered in sandy dunes that streched for miles in between settlements, in this case the Sith Academy and then the Sith settlement, Dreshdae. The difference between this world and the moon was the temperature. It was warm on Pydyr, comfortable. On Korriban, Vilox could hardly keep himself warm. It was like the coldness stuck to and consumed him.

He stretched his hands out of the sleeves of his brown robes and drew a datapad from his utility belt. He unfolded the datapad in his left hand and used his right to activate and then navigate it. He opened the file he had recorded from the archives. It held the co-ordinates that led to the Valley of Sith Lords. He had presumed that, like many aspiring Sith that had come to this temple before, the Valley was a place that most had visited once upon a time. His venture to the Valley would be the next journey after these consequent months visiting the Heresies archives. Now it was time for the next step up.

It would be a long walk across the desert. He devised that the journey would take several hours. He did not want the Sith to know about his operations; and he did not want to ask for their help in providing a speeder or some other form of transport. As a plus, he wanted to walk after his time of sitting and reading. He could also familiarise himself with the surrounding landscape. The walk would do him some good.
