For a planet of the Core Worlds, Pillio was considered remote. Beyond the presence of some fishing companies, the world had nearly no presence of sentient beings. Perhaps it was due to the pressure of organizations that wanted to preserve the great number of fauna and flora that lived there.

However, it was in this remote place that Emperor Palpatine had decided to build one of his Observatories. According to the stories, these buildings were used by the Sith Lord to hold several things, from artifacts to prisoners. Seeking to explore this place, Senin had invited a fellow Acolyte, a girl named Zoella, to visit the planet. He didn’t interact much with her before, but it could be a good opportunity for him to make another ally.

Their ship had come from hyperspace, revealing the planet in front of them. “I’m going to land near an old Imperial building. I think that we can walk to the Observatory from there.” he said, before preparing the ship to land. He was so excited to start to explore this place. The G’weneen wondered which treasures Palpatine could have left there.

While the ship descended through the atmosphere, Senin decided to talk a bit with the girl. “How is your training going? Are you planning to become a Champion soon?” as soon as he finished talking, the Acolyte grimaced. This question was so stupid. It made the unsure atmosphere between them even worse. He wondered how she was going to answer it.

Until a few days ago, Zoella had never met Senin Ravelo—not officially, anyway. She had seen him in passing, at the Hallowe'en party on Serenno, where he and his master had been at the center of some drama. That carrot-top was unmistakable. Regarding the fight, Zoella was in the dark. She had no clue what they had argued over, and she didn't particularly care. Whatever it was didn't concern her, especially then.

Still, the Acolyte didn't understand why Senin had singled her, of all people, out for this mission to Pillio. She wasn't even sure if this was a Sith sanctioned mission or it if was personal, but either way, she needed the experience and had accepted the offer after some deliberation.

Hours of silence had passed between the pair of Acolytes before Senin's voice broke the quiet. Zoella looked up from the video game she'd been playing for the last couple of hours, green eyes adjusting to the light as they descended into the planet's atmosphere.

"Isn't the Observatory hidden?" she inquired. All she knew about the Sith Lord Palpatine was what she had read in her history books and learned in classes at the academy, but she had just assumed that the Sith Lord's observatories would be hidden, lost to time and memory. In a galaxy that was thousands upon thousands of years old, most things were lost to time.

The blonde Acolyte stuffed her things into her bag, zipping it closed and slinging it over her shoulder. When Senin asked if she was close to becoming a Champion, she had to stifle a laugh. "Hardly," she chuckled in a self-deprecating tone. "I still have a long way to go."

Green eyes glanced over at the pilot. "But what about you?"

Senin felt a bit relieved that Zoella was talking with him. He had feared that the girl would end being one of those silent types, that barely talked or interacted with their surroundings. The G’weneen liked to interact with people that were more outgoing and talkative. Going on a mission with a block of stone would be terrible.

It’s, but I found some old holomaps that show its probable location.” he explained to her, while pointing to his bag. Inside it there were several holodisks with the location of the old Imperial buildings of the planet. “This building that I mentioned was part of an old imperial outpost. A group of stormtroopers used to stay there.

He noticed Zoella’s reaction to his question. She really didn’t expect to become a Champion any time soon. “Well, I’m still thinking about it.” his interest in growing as part of the Order decreased after the entire Council was executed. After these events, the G’weneen started to believe that if he continued to grow in the ranks of the Sith, his death would be closer. “I think that I’ll talk about this possibility with my Master.

The ship landed in what once was an old Imperial spaceport. After the Battle of Jakku, the constructions on Pillio were abandoned and the flora and fauna of the planet had started to take over it. In all directions they would be able to see how the buildings were being covered by plants and corals.

The red-haired man was the first to leave the ship. He saw that the building that he had mentioned early was nearly completely covered by the corals. If it wasn’t for some parts of durasteel that he still could see, the Acolyte would have thought that it was only another natural formation. With nature taking over everything so fast, he wondered if the Observatory would still be there.

He would wait until Zoella left the ship to pick one of the Holodisks and then activate it. “If it’s correct, there is a building in the subterranean caves located northwest from where we are.” he pointed toward the direction, before turning back to the girl. “We will need to cross a small canyon, but it wasn’t far away. Are you prepared for a small walk?” he smiled at her. Senin’s bag was already prepared with everything that he would need for this exploration. However, he would wait if the girl needed some time to prepare herself.
