Dressed in blacked out medium armor, with a fabricated Galactic Alliance insignia, Sota carried a VG-15 Blaster rifle with him on this mission, so as not to draw too much attention to himself. He opted to go for the look of a Galactic Alliance Soldier rather than a Jedi to throw off any Force Users, as he dampened his Force signature. A Jedi doing the same would, in his mind, be equally suspicious in this case.

His saberstaff is tucked vertically along his back, beneath his backpack, and his cultural weaponry - his Elduroxi, and Kastaoxi are displayed openly across his belt. Having made it Planetside, by way of public interstellar transit.

The designated rendezvous was the roof of a cafe situated in front of the military base, Sota waited for his comrades to join him, as the system's local star began to set beyond the horizon. Behind the sign of the cafe, Sota sat, rifle by his side, and pack next to it.

Sota watched the guards at the front of the military compound, with a plan in mind to make their move during the guard's shift change.

The past weeks Jayscreec made a habit of being late. Since he was kicked up on the rank ladder he met less important personnel and allowed himself to sometimes prioritize more important things without being questioned. Last time though when he was on hostile planet running late nearly had him killed, so he decided to change for once.

Jay already sat idly inside cafe, enjoying a glass of juice. He wore a marked Galactic Alliance jacket over his covert suit. A bag of his equipment rested by him on the sofa, while with an half hand he kept a hold of his rifle. Any identification relating to the Sith Order or Imperials was left behind on his ship.

As Sota approached he got Jayscreec's attention. The men they were looking for was somewhere around this base, probably running the last of his errands before going home.

When the night fell Jay finally stood up and walked around the small business, finally he approached his new partner.

"Top of the evening. About ready to go?"

Sota turned to meet the Imperial Overseer, and nodded. "Aye. Let's make this quick," he said, in a low, gruff, voice. Grabbing his rifle, he stood and made his way down the roof access ladder, and walked down the alleyway, expecting the Overseer to follow his lead. "We'll get in through the flank, as close to the main building as we can. Our target has a living quarters toward the rear of the base."

Sota kept going forward down the alleyway, passing several other buildings, getting them closer to the easternmost corner of the gate around the base.

A large overgrown tree extended beyond the gate, and provided a quick way in for the Sith, but the Non-Force Sensitive might have difficulty scaling the gate. Checking around the interior of the base for guards, he motions the man forward, and knelt down cupping his hands, to offer the man a boost up, toward a low-hanging branch, from which they could gain covert entry.

Straight to the point. Jay tailed Sota through the base to the first obstacle. He could choose to activate his special boots for climbing, but his new partner seemed so cool. Jay immediately accepted his assistance, used it to get on the tree.

From the high position where Jay climbed he could see how the rest of the camp looked. He quickly recognized a pattern that they used to place their buildings.

Jay reached the other side of the gate and carefully descended to the ground. He crouched down and silently moved towards the living quarters with his rifle in hand.

Jory Daveth was easy to miss at night, even from high atop the gates. He sat cross-legged in a grove of trees to the right of where the men were sneaking in and meditated deeply on the Force. The weather was peaceful and kind, and the base was quieter than most he had been stationed on between diplomatic assignments. He had hoped it would remain that way, but...

A noise to his left—like someone was dropping to the ground—shattered the silence he had been enjoying and roused him from his meditation. There was a man there in a Galactic Alliance jacket. Looked pretty standard all things considered. Still... Jory squinted through the darkness. The man was crouched and crawling over towards the nearby living-quarters, a blaster rifle in hand. That was not standard.

Sensing danger, Jory rose and drew his lightsaber. He didn't ignite it just yet, but he kept a thumb on the ignition switch. As he emerged from the grove he drew his comlink and connected himself to the base. Softly, he said, "This is Jedi Knight Jory Daveth. Got something funny going on over here. Looks like one of ours, but his weapon is drawn and he's crawling over towards the living quarters. I'm going to check it out."

The young Jedi Knight belted his comlink and crossed the yard until he was within earshot of the crawling man. "Everything okay here?" he asked and wondered what excuse he would get. Good reason or not, the man had to admit he looked suspicious crawling around with a gun at night. @Ediwa @Gian Greydragon

Sota growled as he sensed the strong presence of a Force User. Quickly leaping upward, to the top of the concrete pillar at the corner of the gate they were scaling. The branches and foliage, in combination with the darkness that now enveloped the environment around them blocked view from any point of vantage within the base.

Seeing that the Jedi was focused on Jay, he draws one of his Kastaoxi through the foliage of the tree branches between them.

Only seconds after jumping the wall someone already called him out. Jay flinched, he nearly fell over himself. Too unexpected, his missions never went south so fast. He looked up at the Jedi.

The situation was familiar, immediately reminded him his past. He's been somewhat in that Jedi's shoes a thousand times in Imperial camps before the Empire dissolved. Now with the man being so close with a lightsaber, he believed he couldn't overcome him here in combat either. Not at this range, no way.

He took a deep breath and came out like many soldiers before.

"Sorry--" Jay replied sadly. "I am so wasted. I wasn't granted leave, but I wanted to join the boys at the bar. I am so-- so-- sorry."

"Ooh boy. Maybe they're doing a prank?" He said optimistically from inside the building. One hand held a drum stick while the other set down the bucket it had been holding on a regular bed side table. Brent was immediatly staring out the window at the same height as one of the trees. "One's got an axe in the tree Jory." His tone was casual and not particularly alarmed as he watched the man draw one of his weapons. An axe, in a tree, yeah that made sense.

If anybody looked over at the darkened window there were no lights behind Brent to back light him or show his silouhette. It was left open for the nice evening air and also because the nuna bucket the Jedi was munching on had some potent spices that made the entire room smell like fast food kitchen. He found it was easier to deal with if he kept the window open while eating.

Brent had a good idea for a hilarious prank. hehehehhehehehhehehehhehee His internal monolgoue turned into solely mischievous laughter. The best part was that he was in the shadows. The whole building had people inside it and Brent had no intent other than humor. With his free hand he pulled out an adhesive grenade and set it to impact. Now he just had to decide what would be more hilarious, a sticky lumberjack or a sticky drunk. They were both roughly ten meters away give or take. Maybe Jay was a little bit more since he was diagonally down and away from the Knight's elevated position.

Maybe it would work out that Jory would not know it was Brent doing it. The Drast did not need another talking to by one of the masters. As a result he had concealed his presence even more. I'm not really here. This is not the fried nuna bucket you're looking for. Whatever it took to seem even less inconspicuous than a dark figure hidden by shadows. Kark, maybe I should grab my recorder for this... There was one on the table he could use. Then he would be able to reply this hilarious event again and again. It could even go viral.

Jory smiled. Yes, drunkenness was a likely story. He had seen the troops sauntering about many bases in the past in-between assignments. Though, in his experience, drunk men with blasters were not the safest—to themselves or others. For that very reason, he kept his senses stretched out. Drunk men had a history of unpredictability, and if there was one drunk about, there might be more. He took another step closer to the man on the ground.

"No need to apologize, soldier," the sagely Jedi said. "But you're heading the wrong way. This is the living quarters. The bar is—" A voice came over his comlink. One with an axe in the tree. The Jedi reacted on instinct. A blue bar of plasma burst from his drawn lightsaber. He pointed the weapon at the man on the ground.

As he did, he also gathered the Force around him, coiling it within himself like a rattlesnake preparing to strike. He could now sense the other intruder out near the tree. Wherever he was, Brent could likely see him, so Jory kept his eyes on the crawling man—the one he had addressed first. "Let's see some identification, soldier," he said, the tone in his voice had dropped. "Come on. Don't make this more complicated than it needs to be."

Hmmm, what was this? A chance for fun and to kill Jedi?

He was there.

Roman had never really met the Viking Sith or the Imperial Overseer before, though the golden opportunity rarely presented itself and he would be hard pressed to miss it. The acolyte didn't accompany the other two in the same transportation and thus his presence at this time was unknown. However, amongst the darkened silhouette of shadows in an adjacent living quarters, its window wide open but devoid of light he stood. The marauder robes fluttering in light breeze, their ebony nature blended with the evening sky while a pair of green eyes kept their cold stare fixated on the Jedi as his blue lightsaber became visible. Savage grin came across his lips as he pulled out the Gladius blaster rifle and maintained its reticle towards Jory's back. He was for the most part unseen at this time, darkness surrounding his form and no movements were glaringly obvious that gave the Jedi a hint of suspicion to look in his direction.

His current position was approximately 20 meters to the South of Jory, and roughly 30 from Brent. Force signature concealed as he closed one eye to maintain precision. Tapping the comm link on his left wrist,
Roman whispered towards Sota.

"You look sexy in that tree....I got Johnny Bravo in my sights..."

Sota ground his teeth together, and growled as his eyes met those of a GA fighter. Espionage was not his specialty it seemed. Activating the heated blade of the Kastaoxi, he leapt toward one of the branches, swinging toward the midpoint of the trunk of the tree in front of him, ignoring the goofball talking to him through his commslink.

From there, he pushed braced himself off the tree, and fell to his feet, Kastaoxi in hand, and hurled it forward at the Jedi who was presently threatening his compatriot with his lightsaber outstretched toward him. In one swift motion, he flung the Kastaoxi, with aid from the Force, aimed at his opponent's non-sword arm's shoulder.

With his other hand, he brought up his Elduroxi, and readied it, keeping an eye out for the man in the window that was eye level. His offhand also drew his blaster pistol.

Jayscreec's eyes widely opened as the Jedi pointed the lightsaber at him. That's not how drunk friends treat each-other. Actually, they might treat each-other like that, especially in the former Empire. He measured the distance between themselves. It was about ten meters when Jory stepped closer.

"Oh no-- Don't hurt me. What's going on? I just want to get to the living quarters, yes."

Even knowing Jay had backup, he wasn't too confident for a second. He nervously tapped his pockets while looking for some sort of identification.
"ID here," he said while he had Jory's attention.

The ID provided was more of a shot. The rifle was already in his hands, so he just quickly fired at Jory's center of mass at point-blank range. Luckily Sota engaged too, which provided Jay the opportunity to save his skin.
After the Elduroxi struck down, he fired again immediately. He dashed backwards to the left to make more distance between themselves, then sprinted behind the tree to take cover.

Brent's eyes did not need to look directly at Jory to know he had activated his light saber. The Knight had sensed something or felt it necessary to produce his iconic tool. The axe the Deucalian had produce activated as well, glowing faintly in the darkness.

Brent tossed the grenade out into the dark towards Jay's feet. It would be hard to see for anyone not looking at him but since he was in a hidden place he doubted anybody would notice. Maybe the guy closest to Jory was not an enemy but this axe wielding maniac still was. But seeing as the drunkard was carrying an imperial issue rifle, a large cz-msbr and several other weapons that could arm a militia it just felt right with the Force to make him stick around for questioning.

While he was still patting himself down the adhesive grenade would arc through the air to impact within a foot or two of the ground around Jay. If he had planned on moving he would find his feet firmly planted against his will. After he had let loose the grenade his attention returned to the Decualian who was moving through the tree at the time.

The Knight in the darkened window summoned the force in his free hand and cast it out in front of him to skew the thrown axe. That's not a friendly lumber jack. The axe he had thrown would still travel but at least it would not hit Jory. Not if anything Brent had anything to say about it. His fellow Jedi had been ever more on guard now. Maybe that was why he activated his saber.

In the meantime, Jory—guided by the Force he had been gathering to himself—dove into action. The "soldier's" words had reeked of deception, something Jory could also feel in the Force. When the man moved to aim at him with his rifle, Jory's reflexes were lightning-fast—enhanced by the Force and honed by years of training. With his lightsaber already ignited and in front of him, it was almost child's play to deal with the bolt flying at him.

With a flick of his wrist, Jory almost reflexively reflected the the rifle bolt right back at its shooter. Combined with Brent's quick thinking, Jory's would-be shooter would find himself in more than a pickle if he didn't think fast. Brent's intervention also saved Jory from getting an axe to the side. And, while Brent's Force push had dealt with the axe itself, Jory didn't stay motionless where he would remain a sitting duck for his attacker.

He moved a few steps to his left so that he could see both the soldier (@Ediwa) and the lumberjack (@Gian Greydragon) while keeping the grove he'd just emerged from in his periphery. Simultaneously, he stretched his senses outward. After all, if there were two infiltrators, there could be more. At least this way, he would be able to sense the danger before it was too late.

As Jay's bolts rang out, a sticky substance exploded at Jay's feet, forcing him to stay static. Sota wasted no time, as he'd only seen one bolt deflected by the Jedi's lightsaber, and surged forward, closing the distance between him and the Jedi Master, firing two bolts upward at the Jedi he'd made eye contact with moments prior, before swinging a one-handed downward slash at the Jedi as he came into melee range.

The blaster rifle that scored wasn't an Imperial make. Jayscreec had been going through a can't live with or without you relationship with Czerka Corporation. They tried to scam him, withhold payments. Yet, he maintained excellent business connection with some of the offices. One thing was sure, they had designed the best independent weapons on the market.

The CZ-MSBR fired 2 shot bursts. Jory managed to deflect the first blaster bolt, but the second one caught him off-guard. Jay shot the unarmored Jedi right in his center of mass, which severely injured him, if not defeated. The deflected bolt sent back hit Jay, albeit his Duraplast plates covering his torso offered protection on a different level than Jory's simple robes. It burnt Jay's armor and caused light injuries.

Like roots gripping into his feet. Jay was unable to move from the adhesive grenade's effects. He tried to run into cover, but failed, so at least to become smaller, - a lesser target, - he crouched down.

Since Jay didn't see anyone else, he fired one more time at Jory's riddled body. The adhesive didn't come the same way he came from probably, so he also started looking for whoever threw the grenade, his blaster rifle pointed at the building and it's surroundings. He turned sideways to prevent exposing his damaged armor.

"Someone's on me, no VC," Jay called via radio. "Cover me."

OOC: @Malon you didn't address the second bolt, so I went with auto-hitting your character.

Roman chuckled, it seemed that the Jedi had made a grave miscalculation when it came to deflecting the blaster rifle bolts. Needless, that wouldn't be Jory's only concerning aspect. As the Jedi moved towards his left, the Sith Acolyte released a quick burst of shots towards him. Depressing the trigger thrice, three bolts raced out towards the Jedi in a pattern marked by his movements, with the last to end where he anticipated Jory would conclude his leftward strafe. @Malon The timing of his bolts would near Jay's second series of bolts, punishing the heroic Jedi with tremendous firepower. Considering that Jory had not even lay visual on Roman neither would expect shots coming from behind him, the Sith was confident that some of his attacks should land true.

Just as quickly as he fired,
Roman turned his right foot clockwise and turned back behind the wall. He wasn't sure if there was a second Jedi or Rebel hero around, but at least this way, even if they knew someone had fired from the barracks he was in, he had now retorted to a position without anyone's direct line of sight on him. Peering from the edge, his green eyes scanned through the region, whispering into his Comm-Link. "I don't have a visual on second target, in position to cover..."

Things had gone far from what Brent had expected. In the darkness he saw Jory take a hit. Concern would have been visible had there been any light. He dashed towards the other window that had a better view of Jory and the man he had made stuck in place. There was a lot happening and no time to think. Only a few meters away he came to the other window.

Where he had been standing before one blaster bolt came. Brent centered his sidearm on the rooted in place that had fired at Jory. The second bolt came through the window where he had previously been. At the window he was presently at Brent pulled the trigger twice, knowing that the window would break with the first bolt. After he fired he pivoted into cover so only a profile view of his head would be out of cover. There were at least two of them but soon enough Brent would learn there was a third after the bolts fired from across the street by the previously stealthy acolyte. If this was a full on assualt or not, he had just revealed his position to anybody that had not seen him prior. (@Ediwa )

The stuck in place Imperial Overseer that was in a poor disguise would not likely be able to get of harms way. The Knight was not really keen on taking on two enemies at once, or more when he did not know all the details. The Battle of Tython had been one thing, and frankly pretty reckless. With all this noise the barracks living quarters were probably going to begin scrambling troops and warnings. It was protocol when clear hostiles were making a move on an otherwise secure location. This is the second time my superior has been injured in the field before me. Hopefully Jory was not going to die though there was only so much he could do from where he was. Then the perimeter flood lights went on, basking everyone outside in light that vanquished any and all shadows.

Jory could only curse his clumsiness as a second bolt emerged from behind the first and struck him dead-center. He had been focusing on trying to sense every possible threat instead of focusing solely on the threat in front of him, and it had cost him. He wobbled and, clutching his pained chest, fell forward into the adhesive grenade, which was fortunate, because the two shots fired by the behemoth (@Gian Greydragon) lumbering down off the wall were aimed upward and, thus, sailed harmlessly passed him. However, the shots coming from the unseen sniper behind him (@Faded Truth) caught him in the upper right arm as he fell.

The pain from that shot was enough to send him over the edge. Darkness crowded the sides of his vision as he struck the ground. Last he saw, the giant lumberjack was charging at him, but he fell into unconsciousness before the downward slash that ultimately killed him could cause him any more pain. Fortunately, his death was not in vain. The shots had been heard—the flood lights around the area in the base popped on, robbing the intruders of any chance of a stealthy continuation to their mission—and Brent had seen them.

With any luck, justice would be served and his death avenged. @Darasaurus @Ediwa

In the moment Brent broke the window Jay was actively seeking threats in that direction. He aimed at the broken window and pulled the trigger once, basically fired two bolts at Brent. The man Jay fought too good for a casual soldier. With a small blaster pistol, despite having a crouching small target Brent managed to hit Jay in the upper arm.

"Kark," he cursed. "I'm hit!"

Jay fired once more to Brent's window.

Finally when the adhesive faded Jay quickly approached the Jedi, took his lightsaber, his comlink, and his datapad. With the loot Jay retreated to the tree to take cover behind it. He
suffered from two shots. Somewhat, if truly needed he was still in the game, but not that agile.

Jay grabbed the comlink and started some kind of psychological operations, because only physical-wounds heal.
"Give up or I'll kill the Jedi. Your choice traitors."
