As the window broke, Sota and Jay seemed to act in tandem, aiming and firing, a duo of bolts at the man in the window. He wasted no time, dropping his pistol after firing a third and fourth bolt at the assailant in the window, before using
Force Speed to run back toward the wall just a couple meters behind him, using the momentum gained to run up the wall and push outward, toward the window next to the one that had broken, drawing the hilt of his saberstaff, and crashing through the window, combat rolling into a crouching position roughly 5 meters from the assailant. Pressing a single ignition switch with his left hand switch, he summoned a crimson blade one meter in length, illuminating the room around him, and revealing the wolfish grin on his face - intent to kill flowing from his golden irises.

At this distance, the stranger's affinity to the Force became apparent to him.

"Another Jedi? How about that," he growled, chuckling, as he raised his Elduroxi over his head, digging into his stance, with his lightsaber outstretched in front of him.

The first bolt broke the glass, just like he had expected. The burst fire characteristic of Brent's own quickdraw sidearm had the second shot go past the glass and hit Jay in the arm. But Brent had pulled the trigger a second time and both would hit the Imperial Overseer who was rooted the spot, taking him down. If Brent had more time he would have considered it either ironic or perhaps the Force dishing out some karma due to what had happened to Jory.

The jedi knight had retreated back into cover. Still, it was a close call. The Deucalian's shots zipped up into the window, shattering any remaining fragments of glass. One bolt even came so close as to feel like it had singed his eye brows. sonovabitch it was far too close for comfort and the Knight felt the pinning sensation of the incoming fire.

He moved further back into the building towards the hallway that the room exited towards. His body would no longer be in any possible crosshairs from across the street since he was deeper in the structure of the building. Brent's hand flicked slightly to trigger the lightsaber mounted inside his sleeve. The jedi's iconic tool entered his grip and activated simultaneous to the sound of Sota entering the room he was exiting.

The shattering of any remnants of glass made him turn his head in time to see the hulking mass of the Sith Acolyte who had burst through the window. Brent pressed the activation of his saber, illuminating his handsome face in blue light. If they were going to exchange quips then Brent would indulge the man. It seemed like a quality fight did not happen enough. Most Sith were pompous jerks but maybe this one was different, even if he had been party to killing Brent's associate. Keeping his blade between them he would keep a defensive stance in case he was interrupted. "Another asshat. How 'bout that?" His tone would be sarcastic, intentionally trying to trigger the larger man.

@Ediwa @Gian Greydragon @Malon @Faded Truth Auto hit on Jay: on top of Jay being stuck in position per admin ruling he only addressed one of the bolt fired from Brent's QD and is autohit by the other two blaster bolts.

It seemed that the Jedi had been struck by his bolts as well as the coordinated attack from his fellow acolytes and the Imperial Overseer.

Good

One less light-sider to deal with. Slaying Jedi brought joy, though not as much as when he'd finally get his hands on some Mandalorians. Perhaps that day would come soon, who knows?

Roman had witnessed the exchange of fire occurring outside including that which was between his comrades as well as an unseen assailant. With the Jedi on the outside defeated, Roman slipped from the side of his cover and out the back door of the building he was in. Security alarms had been set as certain areas along the patrol wall basked in flood lights, though there were still considerable different obstacles and crates in between the two buildings for the acolyte to utilize. Staying low, he mobilized himself towards the other building where the second Jedi was, careful to not be seen through vantage points in the windows.

Considering that the Jedi himself had now moved in deeper into the building, it would be impossible for the two of them to see each other at this point. A quick burst of force speed was utilized, arriving at the rear entrance of the barracks Brent and Sota were in, though he was not in any line of fire at this time.

Exchanging his rifle for the Pugio blaster on his side, he held the weapon in his right while the left hand was free. The usage of his energies would give Brent the idea that there was indeed a second force user present, though the current location would be impossible to know as Roman was now facing the Jedi's back. Brent would in fact have to identify the nefarious presence and turn around to see him, placing him at risk for Sota's upcoming attack.

At this moment,
Roman merely watched, eyes scanning on the look out for any new threats that may appear.

Sota scoffed at the Jedi's retort. He could exchange quips all night, but he wasn't about to give his Imperial partner all the credit for killing a Jedi Master, and as such, used the Force to accelerate himself within melee range, by pushing off with his back leg.

As Sota closed in, he lashed out with his lightsaber, slashing from his right to his left, across Brent's shoulders, and then subsequently following through with a overhead swing from the Elduroxi he had positioned over head. His secondary attack was aimed to bisect his skull down the middle.

Jay's burst-fired bolts passed by Brent's bolts then failed to hit the Jedi while he was in the window, both of them. Then as Jay was standing, holding his blaster rifle with two hands, and keeping his right arm in front of his body, suddenly a bolt struck his arm.

After that a burst came. The first bolt burnt down Jay's armor on his shoulder, the second one hit his arm. If unattended, -probably even if attended- he was going to loose his full right arm.

"Kark," Jay cursed on their comms. "Casevac me." He was visibly in pain from Brent's attack.

Finally when the adhesive's effects vanished, -unable to run,- he crawled towards the Jedi. He pulled Jory's body slightly on himself. While in cover using the human-shield Jay went through Jory's belongings, looking for anything helpful in this poor situation. He hid the lightsaber underneath his jacket.

Jay held a piece of Jory's robe tightly on his bleeding arm. "At least you're still good for something," Jay whispered to himself, out of hate as he was in pain.

He gathered himself and very slowly left the camp

Brent was out in the hallway with an eye on the Deucalian. The Deucalian was not amused by the Jedi Knight's words, that much Brent could have predicted. He saw him close the distance between them with the aid of force speed. The Jedi did not stand idle though and brought his sidearm to angle towards Sota but held his fire for the right moment. He saw the shallow swing coming that would have caused a burning laceration across his upper chest and shoulders had he not chosen to not duck into a lowered defensive stance. Thankfully Brent made enough movement forward back towards the room that if Sota wanted to hit him with either weapon the Acolyte would swing his blade through the doorway's frame, slowing his attack with some aid. The raised axe was also an obvious incoming attack since it remained raised premptively. The Sith was telegraphing his attack.

His shoto blade angled so that the Acolyte's saber would move from above Brent's light saber emitter to the tip of his blade without touching him. Its shorter length giving him an advantage in the close quarters. The zapping of the two weapons connecting and crackling as it quickly moved from his weapon still made the Jedi Knight even grunt as his did his best to keep it from harming him.

As this happened his quick draw blaster was not outstretched in front of him but held in front of him. He did not want to loose his arm in the melee after all and the Deucalian was both close and big enough that it was virtually at point blank range. The man's axe would swing into the door frame, slowing it partially but not likely to stop it completely. Brent was just on the other side of the doorframe and was forcing the Sith to only be able to swing or stab from a limited direction since his range of motion was limited in the portal.

Even if the axe came down Brent would still have his saber raised above his head to block the axe head. But again, the door frame was used to Brent's advantage in that case. The swing would probably still chip a portion of the top door frame as it came down with its swing. But Deucalians were hardy people and this Sith in particular was probably cut from more tenacious cloth than others so maybe their weapons would still connect. If so, he was prepared.

Sota's lightsaber clashed with Brent's, as the Jedi parried the blade to the side, and in that moment, the second blade of Sota's saberstaff ignited, positioning itself between him and Brent's line of fire, as well as in prime position to counteract if Brent were somehow able to save his now forward-falling balance.

Since he was crouching less of a wide angle was needed on the swing, as he lowered his elbow to compensate for the change in height, missing the frame of the door completely, and clashing with the blade, wrapping the 'beard' or downward angled, sharpened point of the weapon, around the plasma blade. With a forceful pull backward, immediately after the blades make contact. As he pulled back and down, Sota angled his downward facing blade into the shoto, attempting to add torque to the pull, and prevent the Jedi from rending the weapon free without losing his balance.

Ahh, so the Jedi wanted to prove himself valiant?

Admirable...but foolish

Roman smirked as the force speed concluded, his armored form shimmering towards the corner of the first floor, his position now towards Brent's back. Glancing upwards he looked at the second floor from the stairs when he finally arrived at his destination. He could not see figures but rather only the faint lights of blue and crimson clashing with each other as well as the hums of their respective lightsabers. While the pugio blaster was held in his grasp Roman exchanged it for his own blade, thumb pressing on the button as it ignited in its own red glory.

A cold stare of death glanced outwards, eyes narrowed through slits of the marauder helmet as his free left hand formed into a claw. The gesture summoned dark magic into his grasp, a veil between worlds that shimmered and grew into an orb of force energy. Its epicenter no larger than the radius of his hand, though for the time being he held it as he continued to look towards the end of the stairs.

Lightsaber held defensively and capable of defending any attacks, he moved upwards towards the melee.
