It had been a couple weeks since the last time Khalid had visited his family back on Bandomeer, yet the young tiefling found himself in there once again. Of course, out of all the siblings that were doing something outside the planet, chances are Khalid was among the ones that came back for a visit the most, not only to visit the family he loved so much, but also to help Khadijah with her moonshine bussiness without letting the rest of the family know about it...Granted, that was becoming more and more difficult each time, but they still managed to pull it off.

However, today was a special day, he wasn't back home to sell their family booze recipe this time, but rather to visit one person in particular: The youngest sibling of the family, his little sister Laila. Even if she was a year older now and she had grown up so much in just a few years, Khalid couldn't help but remember the day she was brought into the world just yesterday. While Khalid was only either a few years older or a few years younger than most of his siblings, which allowed them to have the usual fighting, bickering sibling relationship, Laila was so much younger than the rest of them that she was basically everyone's little princess.

And of course, the little princess deserved to have nice gifts for her birthday and so, Khalid left his ship with a nicely wrapped box on his hands "Aight, remember what I told y'all, only shoot at the animals if they get too close to the ship and they're dangerous, I better not catch you blowin' up critters for fun again...that goes for you particularly, Jim!" Khalid shouted at his two droids before they beeped something rudely in response and went back inside the ship. Letting out an annoyed sigh, the tiefling cowboy approached his home and opened the door "Ma, Pa, I'm home!"

Khadijah had stayed on Bandomeer, when her siblings had left. Whether Sith, Sector Ranger, or whatever dumbass shit Khalid found himself doing. She stayed to take care of the farm - of Ma and Pa - while the others explored their gifts and talents. While the others frolicked around, adventuring, she worked the land. Planting, tilling, tending, harvesting. Each year Ma and Pa grew older, the less that they could do. Pa's back prevented him from doing much more than riding the tractor. Ma's hands were so calloused and hardened by years of picking crops that they barely had feeling. It was time for them to step back, and for the new generation to take over.

Khadijah heard Khalid before she saw him. The little twerp couldn't even win an argument with his own droids. She stifled a chuckle at that thought as he entered. "Ma and Pa ain't here yet, ya dumbass." A grin settled onto her face as she wrapped her twin in a deep, long embrace. She had missed him. It was good he was back - even better that the whole family would return. "They went ta' town, to tha' market. Ma wants ta' bake a cake." As they hugged, she realized there was a box between them. Her eyes widened. "Wellllllll, Mister I-Cain't-Afford-Ta-Getcha-A-Gift-Khadij finally got someone else a birthday gift." She chuckled. The baby really was bringing them together, wasn't she?

"Laila's nappin' upstairs. We took her out last night." Going 'out' in this small town on Bandomeer usually consisted of hours of music, drink, and dance. Laila was obviously too young to fully enjoy this, but it was a tradition her family was eager for her to adopt. The Din family always brought the moonshine - strong enough to put down a Hutt, but sweet enough that he wouldn't realize until it's too late.

"You know when the others get in?" Khalid and Khadijah hadn't stayed in the closest of contact when the former went off world. Khadijah was so distracted by the day-to-day pressures of running the farm and expanding a small distillery of her own, she couldn't keep up with the comings and goings of the siblings. Apparently, everyone was supposed to come back. She hadn't seen Altair since he left for the Sith, or Imani since she graduated from their academy.

She looked around their farmstead, as the orange glow of sunlight illuminated the particles of dust and wood across their aged familial home. Everyone was coming back. It'd be just like old times.

It had been a long time since Imani had come home. Of course, she called as often as she could, and she certainly sent money back, but there was just nothing like stepping off of durasteel onto the worn, familiar grassy ground. The smell of mud farm life wasn't pleasant to many, but it was both comforting and nostalgic to Imani.

Part of that had to do with her being busy as hell, but the other bit was she'd just now saved up enough for a ship. It was small, but it was good enough. If she got her way and found herself mobilized, she'd be comfortable enough.

"You got our gifts for Laila, Tai?" She'd swung by Dromund Kaas to snag her brother, and she'd made sure to make a pitstop at a mall to let him pick out a gift for their little sister. The woman hadn't asked whether he had the money for a gift or not. As far as she was concerned, he was in school, which meant she had no issue paying for whatever he wanted to get her.

Once they were both off the ship, she all but ran to the house. "WE'RE HO—" Khalid and Khaijah were standing right there. "...ooome!"
