Jon was ready for anything to happen when the containment fields came down; his senses were on absolute emergency alert mode in case anyone tried anything funny. However, as the warrior he had previously seen wielding a lightwhip stepped forward and begged for the opportunity to accompany the vanquished challenger to the med bay, Jon knew that an opportunity had presented itself which he could not pass up.
As the throngs of warriors rushed forward to surround the reaffirmed Mand'alor on the stage, Jon's hand flashed out with inhuman speed and knicked something from a passing verd's bandolier. Tucking it into a cargo pocket, he then stuck his hand high into the air to catch Corden's attention.
"Mand'alor! I ask for the honor of being the second to accompany Lucius to the medbay! I think I have proven today I am more than capable of guarding and preventing any possible attack!"
Jon looked out of the corner of his eye and saw that Apollo was staring at him, his face a mix of rage - given the way things had turned out - and curiosity - Jon hadn't had the time to fill his leader in on what he was thinking. Jon sent him a short burst of reassurance, hoping that Apollo would trust his aide-de-camp enough to not step in and ruin this plan in its infancy.
